this was beautiful.
FWIW, it ran just fine on my 3070Ti with 8GB RAM. Full GPU usage (no major slowdown), and it "only" got up to 6.8 GB RAM usage. So don't get scared off by the nfo. :)

Visually beautiful and massive, but it just feels like particles pushed through a poorly solved 2D velocity grid- I’ve seen 8ks looking quite similar. Audio is awesome.

8K HDR TV sample video material. So satisfying DoF and fluid results. If it got a support of actual HDR display it'll go epic (I don't have the one though!)

Mopped the floor with the rest of the compo and at least half of the big demo compo, lmao. Awesome job, can't wait to see the new tech utilized to its full potential!
First the negative stuff: This feels quite a lot like only one scene repeated many times with variations, and the synth and the music are both a bit bland.
But overall, this doesn't detract from the fact that this is a great 64k. Really tasteful work in colors and gradients, great DOF, smooth and believable fluid dynamics, glitter highlights work really well, gets a lot of mileage out of that effect, and a clear winner.

It's ok, not terrible, but I'm gonna have to downvote to balance name-voting. I don't see how this prod is so much better than every other prod like it. The techno octahedron should have won this compo. At least the chess one has a bunch of 3D models in 64k. This one is just particles in velocity fields.
The demo looked like someone poured my porridge on the ground.

Very stable-looking fluids. The glitter effect looks great. When the camera seems to cut to a different setup, it looks like the simulation has already been run for some iterations. Is that just an illusion, or how does it work?

We have separate events for ticking the particles/physics in a scene and the rendering of the scene (as we've always had), and yes, the calculation of the physics begins earlier than the scene is rendered, sort of a realtime precalculation.
Here's what the actual timeline looks like, the grey events are the scene renders, the brownish ones are the ticking events.
Also, yeah according to the latest check about 8 gigs of vram should do it, Garg was just a bit irked by the fact that his pc had issues with the intro at the time of writing the nfo file, hence the spice :)

As a passionate enjoyer of liquid glitter content, I cannot even
very pretty and acoustically pleasing, wish it had some progression to it. Only gripe I have with this is the performance: it looks like I have around 20fps in some scenes on a 2070 super mobile, considering that the rendering itself shouldn't take much frametime this seems rather slow.
It's just so masterfully composed, very beautiful

hfr: could be a CPU performance issue, runs smooth on my R5 7735HS + RTX4060 laptop :)

Running this on 32:9 fullscreen does the same for me. Try running it in 16:9 or 21:9 window.
btw, in my opinion the visual pacing is even nicer at x0.75 speed. It gives some time to actually ingest the scenes, but I don't find it too slow yet.

My desktop is 1920x1200 16:10.
If I simply set the resolution to 1920x1080 16:9, it works perfectly :)

didn't quite feel it live, but finally got around to watching it on my own machine and yeah the tech is just stunning, superb job. runs pretty well even at 4k on my rtx 3090
