AWESOME! :D
Also very inspiring..
Keep it up guys!

Oh, and all the "feedback" effects, such as the one on the screenshot were so pretty.
Some very cool scenes indeed, but the skyscraper building scene at the end is pure <3 , excellent.
loadingbar finishes, black screen, music playing, Vista, Core2Duo, Radeon 2600 HD, latest drivers ... snirf :(
Just for the record i ran this on Vista 64bit, P4 3GHz , and a Gforce 7800.
And this demo is beautiful, just wanted to say that one more time :)
And this demo is beautiful, just wanted to say that one more time :)
that shader (i guess) is just plain awesome
gargaj: i had the same, after reading the infofile i assumed it was from not having a pixelshader 3 card..
Favorite demo in the compo.
ps: I don't have pixel shader 3 card, in fact, I have the same computer as you, isn't it? (Mac Book Pro).
i didnt try it on the mac. i tried it on the p3 with the radeon x800 pro. but i guess i'll try it on the mac now if you insist ;) although latest update from parallels seemed to b0rk alot more demos than make any of the buggy ones work.
hei it worked on the mac, hehehe.
not too sure if i liked the colors and the effects (not too sure it was playing properly either)
but great music and loved the last scene.

pure beauty. this was definitely the killer demo in the compo
Pig because it didn't run with my GF 8500 GT. Sorry.
Doesn't run here too. Video?
Awesome.
ganz schön!!
I have the same problem as Gargaj
Loadingbar, music , blackscreen

We need to upgrade guys to the req. as stated in the NFO
Der absolute Bringer!
simply beautiful!
Everytime I run this I got blue screen after the loading bar reaches 1/4 (tried various combinations of quality/resolution settings). Windows XP, GF8600GS M.
video plz ?
Stunning
Hmm... bugs here as well - the loading bar stop around 25%, then wobbles a bit, the music starts and the logos are displayed VERY slowly (updating every 10 seconds) with no other effects at all.

I watched the compo online and since I missed the first part I didn't know whose entry is currently running. After a few moments some details with the 3D style remembered me very much in the LKCC/Bauknecht BSM 2004 invitation (Fern) - so I was pretty sure it must have been Pixtur's artwork. But then there were several new things: a more "floating" color-scheme, more amorphous diffuse visuals and a different sound track style. I hoped it so much but I was not totally sure that it is a Still demo - but indeed: it was one - a great one - I love it to see how their style is evolving with every new production. Thumb Up!!!
awesome!
A tad short, but the atmosphere is wow. While I'm not sure it runs exactly the way it should here (a bit too much white at some parts), it's got exactly the style I like :)
And that transition in the screenshot from the rotating rings to the dense structures is just O___O
*nominates for best effects award*

very nice, especially the last scene and the credits scene in the beginning rock. music is really good and fits. well done.
Awesome
awesome
not working :(
FUCK YES
Fantastic - my favourite from the compo! I really liked the oldskoolish smoke/plasma-thingie in combination with the detailed scenes. On the stream you couldn't see the alex lying in the debris... that was a nice surprise when I watched it on my own machine :)
crashes right in the beginning (xp, gf6600)
yes, it crashes for me before beginning too, but i assume thats just my videocard (radeon 9600+)
from what i saw from the stream this was pretty fucking awesome

Too cluttered. Looks like a big mess.
loading bar, fadeout, music starts,...and black screen.

should I copy any special d3d dll?

I looooove the feedback effect!
outstanding demo, fav from the compo. extra thumb for the music!
ps: anything starting with an "x" in the radeon series is a pixelshader 3.0 card.
the skyscrapers are absolutely epic
RATTE!

Loading bar -> black screen + music
Nice stuff....seems kinda slow though....or maybe its time for ME to upgrade my hardware.
Great work, as usual! Good music, sync, look and everything. Best demo from TUM!
By the time the red oversaturated scene near the beginning had started, I'd decided this demo is awesome. The feedback part later was interesting too.
Right near the end, I thought the color separation was a bit too much.. not necessary to turn it into a shader show. Still great though.

nice
a couple of awesome effects in here.. but it's far from being just an effects show. the way that the skscraper scene creeps up on you left me with my mouth open :O
rulez!

excellenT :)
crashed here too. xp, gf6600
Video please?
Video please?
I didn't like this so much, mostly because of the music which is not in my taste, but the, I assume, massive work on the end part of the demo makes up for it.
Bah, same old still type stuff. Which means it rules massively of course :)
If it's not working for you try lower res/quality/AA settings, that worked for me. Low res/quality - super smooth. Medium res/quality - fine. Fairly high - 0.5fps (which is too big a jump down - must hit some kind of barrier along the line). Very high - black screen of music.
Even so, I still want a fix - even if it runs slow, I really do need that 1080p kkapture :D

Hammering music and a black screen is all that I could see and hear.
kkkkkkkkkapture!
1987 effects marries 1997 3d in 2007 resolution.
me love it...
Nice, very nice demo.
adorable
There's something about the last scene...
<3
<3
Awesome prod with great atmosphere. The tune rules :)
Black screen and some effects in the middle. Win XP SP2, Radeon X800RX, one of the last catalyst and DX installed
not my kind of demo (music/scenes wise) but that feedback effect was so pretty

Yes, that's a winner-demo !
Only scene with skycrapers was good, other scenes are boring and dull, sorry....
What anes said, but in a good way. It's nice to see a well-done effects demo.
BEST DEMO EVER!
4th BEST DEMO EVER of the year! I love everything about it! I don't know if it is that time of the year when you are some 2 months without watching a decent demo or what is it, but sure is a great demo, and it finally has a modern use for a really old effect (the feedbacks)!
I'm gonna watch it again now after I CDC it.

this dissolves me for some minutes
brilliant interaction of techniques, trance for the eye! watched it a couple of times now, never gets boring. yet a demo, it is undemonstrative but fascinating.
title and credit words zooming out and disolving in a liquid like background
great electro music
a 3D cave with 3 concentric rings, rotating, and greetings scrolling in the inner side of the inner ring
3D skyscraper with effects and 3D light sprites path

demo is ok. runs well with a Pentium4, 3.0Ghz, 1GB Ram and a X1950.
cams: effective
effects: well set in place
track: adorable
3d: to the point

Only black screen on my low-spec 'puter, but thanks to SoLo2 I have a good description of the effects ... :-D
music is beautifull! some parts where 3d is combined with plasma like stuff are just great and innovative. but as a whole it shows that demo was put together in a harry. still, i want to rewatch it over and over.
Great to see old people bring in some fresh spirit :)
Cynic!
Just watched the video. Indeed a lovely demo! Looking forward to debugged version so I can run it.
for sure
Thumbs up for the last scene.
awesome music, great atmosphere. some scenes not so cool as the sound, but overall this is excellent demo!
still <3
mhm. just a black screen. maybe you guys release a final version soon?
i would love to have the effect at 2.20 explained please :)
Some brilliant stuff here. Well reserved 1st place. Only felt bit on short side - the demo ended when I was waiting for the final punch. :)
nice work guys
Those skyscrapers!
Over-usage of the (otherwise very nice) text-displayer in the beginning make this a piggy...
fucking brilliant in every aspect possible. i worship you.
(now make it work on my computer too ;)
(now make it work on my computer too ;)
It has some really cool and innovative effects and some massive scenes. Great work! However, its to slow (both in pace and performance) to make my boobs okay.
The postprocessing in the screenshot is fabulous, as well as 2 of the 3d scenes. Music rulez too.
Not as good as I expected by the comments but still worth enough a thumb up. I think I somehow didn't liked the fuzziness and randomness of the scenes, even though the 2d filters used are very cool, the start is very nice, music is good, final skyscraper scene impressive (even though scenes are blurry/fuzzy that I can't totally enjoy them).
Nice Scenes, ok Music and great Greetings Part... Thumb up :)
It starts a bit weird but keeps getting better all the time. I also like the soundtrack. Very good stuff and thanks for the video.
The last scene was awesome.
Gooood!
Loader halts after about 30% (no matter what settings I choose, it seems), and I have to hard-reboot (read: push the reset button) my computer to make XP friendly again. Please look into this.
Eh, obviously the thumb was a bit premature. :)
just watched the video, wow, looks alot better than when watched on the mac. shame about the heavy gfx card requirements and compatibility glitches. great demo.
I assume my graphics card (x1900) is unable to reproduce the pro gfx here because all I saw was a blurry mess of abstract shapes. Maybe I'll try this again when I get an 8800.
very nice work
A worthy winner (even though I didn't expect it to win). Great demo overall.
nice
Great
the credits/intro part is a tad too long though.

Killing effects and atmosphere
hm, crashes with some 'abnormal termination' at about 25% of the loaderbar, vista/2,0DC/2gb/8600
Nice one.
jajaja gut
neat
Nice visuals, could have been a tad shorter though.
Crashes right after the loaderbar if any sort of msaa is on (HD3870/cat7.12).

Really hot effect, very good feeling...
nice music
Just watched the video, and the thumb above stands SO CLEARLY! This is really massive.. The effect in the screenshot is the best part -- insanely well-made!
this one was SIMPLY EXCELLENT.
bella still, spacca! o/
The end contains some amazingly sweet ass effects.
loved it.
loved it.
The beginning was.. hum. ..not as great as the rest of the demo! ;) The screenshot part was absolutely delicious. Omg. I love that part. I've been watching this demo three times in a row now just for that effect. I need to copy that sometime! ;)
<3
holy shit!
best effects evar.
best effects evar.
Not bad but nothing special... Hope to see more own style of the demoscene in future and not copying effects from other good looking demos... i think the intro with names is a bit to long... 1:30 min is very boring to watch at the start. Rest is ok!
I give a thumb for the work behind... But the visuals are seen much much before...
I give a thumb for the work behind... But the visuals are seen much much before...
The beginning, despite its glorious excess of pixelshaders is plain ugly. But I love the rest.
it's so fuckeen beautiful, i can't believe it.
every pixel seem to be at the right place.
every pixel seem to be at the right place.
is ratte the new hund? ;)
I fail to see that the effects rule, but the final scene looks nice enough for a pig.
On second thoughts, having effects is better than having no effects at all. Thumb it is. However, this effect is old and could be much better looking than this.
this is so incredible
added to my favorites :)
Once again, really great show.
I missed Pixtur's amazing design from the last Still demo I saw, but the feedback effect was nice and the city at the end was astounding!
w00t! kewl demo!
kickass effects O_O;
hardly to find like this quality !
keep good works guys !! :D

Therefore, it was cool though i see the video.

The feedback seen in the screenshot is a jaw-dropper.
impressive
Nice demo!
my fav demo of '07!
I did not like this at all actually :/
excellent atmosphere, phat soundtrack and nice direction (esp. in the end). the only weak point: the beginning with all the names is way too long.
Respect for the beautiful bb-effect implementation!
While I generally hate flyby-style demos with a passion, I confess finding that one scifi-looking scene near the end really enjoyable. Cool feedback effect too. Too bad the other parts and the music were not up to par..
I don't think it works as a whole, but holy shit, most of the scenes are next-gen demomaking. Impressive, great job guys!
the start is way to long, but rest is great
Smooth
shows nothing on an winxpsp2, x1400 latest driver, core2, with any possible resolution and stuff.
nice music
I'm not one of these enticable people giving the standing ovation here. The feedback-effect is nice. The rest is ok, so thumb.
Good atmosphere, beautiful effects, nice music. I love it, and well I find it a bit too short :p.
i hate you.
i watched it like 4 times.

the last scenes are totaly awsome! glass buildings
really unbelieavably cool scenes (at least on the big screen). I liked the liquidy effect and the colors it created, plus the last scene just MASSIVE. big props!
I totally liked this in the compo, however it doesn't work at home.
immediately crashes, before any setup-screen or something like that.

not my top of the pops but surely a pleasure to watch. nice to see how 2d/feedback is used here.
OK got it to run (damn Windows drivers..).

Low fps in some parts, ati x1600/xp/newest drivers.
Looks nice though.

hmm dunno. nice shaders.

cool
the feedback/whirling/distortion/color-effect is innovative and gave me a good portion of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stendhal_syndrome at the party :)
Wow!
Awesome-looking transition effect (the scene depicted in the screenshot).
Moar!

beautiful!
excellent! Loved the hdr-use.
looked pretty sweet, but it ran like a slideshow on an 8600 GTS (on WinXP) ... do we need supercomputers to run demos now?
Excellent visuals!
wootwoot, I came.
Dammit.. I can't run this. Why? Gives me "The program has encountered an error and needs to close" in XP sp2, gf7800gsoc. Downloaded from two different locations, still no go. No one else seems to have this problem. :(
Same crashes here, but I'm getting used to this kind of problems and watch the videos instead.
Big Thumb up !!!! Brilliant, beautiful, awesome !!!
music is fantastic! need to mix it in some podcast :)
coolness 2d fx
good new wave idea and also a quiet leftfield soundrack
yeah! :]
wow. great visuals, colors, sound!!! <3

Solid demo!
Very nice and original. Good job.
Original !
fantastic demo! really like it a lot..

Sexy.
Mh, strange. I should be impressed, but I'm not. The polygon count looks high, though.
First it looked like a winamp plugin.
Then some glowing meaningless 3d structure's
Finally it got interesting like the scene i the screenshoot.
And I didn't like the music even if it fits the demo.
So ok, I guess

Oh yes, this was a nice one! winamp plugin, sure. But i like winamp plugins :-)
I'm tripping.
Awesome... Especially the music!
forgot my thumb so here it is!
big ups. first time ever i see threedee and 2d effects mixed well, so extra bonus points for that.
one of the best :)
I like the music, the rest is ok.
WOW!
The middle part was a bit dull. But the feedback was soooo incredible cool, and the end building had a really strong perfect look. Great music.

not that interesting or pretty at all actually
awesome visuals and music. thank you.
imho - this is one of the best demos of 2007. keep up the good work guys!
truly one of the best

Not a kickass demo, but one piece of a yerk-off-effect after ~3min of the demo ...
Was a final version released?
Neat effects. :)
Maybe abit overkill with the whole blur thing.
The music gave me goosebumps. Excellent!

Interesting
Missed this one so far, excellent!!
finally saw this one at nvscene.. very impressed!
Neat feedback effect and architecture.
The dispersive feedback = best effect ever!

Great!
I never said I love this?
Nicely polished production. Loved the feedback part later in the demo.
L0V3
I really liked this. Cool environments, fitting soundtrack, a solid production.
Wow, i forgot about this (short memory), this is one of the few demos that gives me goosebumps
yeah for real
Very nice feedback effects. But the rest doesn't really appeal to me.
farmer indeed!
awesome
how did you do that awesome feedback?
No idea how I missed this. Damn it is good. Whoa. Damn. Whoa.
Solid awesomeness!
the middle part rocked.
Great effect show :)
great one :)
I wonder why I never saw this before. Some parts are very nice. some parts are okay :)
I had thrills during the watching... Masterpiece.
Great!
i wouldn't say watching this caused deep emotions, but it had a few visually appealing moments
Rulez!

another forgotten thumb.
one of the best demo soundtracks, ever.
(and honestly: while the code and effects are really not bad, they do not fit to that fantastic soundtrack!)
(well, maybe I've been listening to this tune far too often before seeing the demo ;))

using 2D fluids to make transitions, what a beautiful idea !
One of the most beautiful demos ever -- in terms of visuals and sound. A shame it's so short.
Cheddars!
Absolute massive! Pure win.
<3
wow, amazing visual, direction, transitions, sync with the music! superb!
i think the seeker is still a tad better but still, this is true STILL!
Absolutely gorgeous Staill crafted material.
...the drawback at this point is that not all parts look as jaw droppingly good as the best ones.

This has really grown on me. Love it :)

atmospheric, and love the music
Very good prod !!! Even after 4 years looks beautifully.
Woho!
Epic. This rocks.
(Well...: Not as epic as my own life. But still it rocks.)
:D
Great stuff. The noise function and nice modeling.
STILL fantastic
Very great for a first production
rp.
Awesome prod.
what a ride! even if the music lacks a bit of bass and uptempo imho the thumb goes up!
yep
Love the contrast between the very soft scenes where everything dissolves to the harsh geometry. The tune plays the same vibe, it's clear but playfully - harsh but not mean.
Walking that fine line and combining both style is something probably only Pixtur is able to do.

Loved the afterimage and feedback throughout, and the soundtrack was amazing. Great demo.
Nice!
WOW - just WOW
A way belated thumb. I really like this demo. It showcased all of these things in 2007 that I had followed Still for: a strong sense of aesthetics, an impactful soundtrack, and visually pleasing effects that are bound to (and have) age well.
Awesome.
Hadn't seen this one before. It's bloody brilliant! And a massive soundtrack. I like everything.
so great, much love ❤️
awwwwwwww, city scene just dropped out my jaws. awesome!
gorgeous. music wasnt what i expected from ronny but really fits.
