sync owns you! i also like the evolution and the music.
Cräsh.
cubes? cubes! :P and the rest? medicore music, lack of design, lack of everything? hello this font is ugly and else, hmmm it feels a bit empty. sorry, but overall it sucks in my eyes.
Screenshot looks very nice, but it crashed immediately. XP, Geforce 3, DirectX 9.0b. Pätch please!
A REALLY NICE CRASH, bluescreen.
gf4mx440, Directx 9.0C
gf4mx440, Directx 9.0C
crashed...mem read error (radeon9800)
NOW you make progress, Gargaj.
nice colrs, good music,
KICKASS sync ( well i mean cameramovements :) cube morphing syncing didnt impress me much :))
once again camera sync is perfect imo.
too bad white tree looks much like zeitmaschine mesh imported in this demo :(
another minor thing is huge slowdowns on scene change.
overall this one is cool

too simple. ugly colors. music is ok.
Fzool, the first thing I thought after reading your complaints about this one: you just summed up everything that's usually (in not always) appliciable to SDS PC releases.
Also, they're not true. Nice little buildup. Sweet audio.

Good work Mr. "sync" Gargaj :))
First I wasnt impressed but it got better at the end. Cameramovements were nice.
Well done Gargaj ;)
the sync was way off (gffx5800ultra,win2k), and it lagged bad on places (when the "particles" came in), but -very- nice music and the look wasn't bad either :)
crashes before changing resolution. radeon9k mobility, p4 2,0ghz
Sync rules, but that's pretty much all there is to it. Next time: Keep sync - add content.
crashes here too, r 9600 mobility, 1.5 pentium m
your engine has some decent problems... crash! :)
It's quite decent, though it does kinda explain why one-man productions tend to be less popular than regular ones :)
nooooo! illegal operation after start... video or fix coming?
decorous.
Probably the best synch I ever saw. At least that was my experience in front of the bigscreen.
Pot, kettle.. :)
a BSOD 't was.
well, it was ok! After seeing so many Conspiracy intro's it's hard to understand why so little takes so much space. ;-)
The synching was brilliant!

ekoli: because BoyC and his engine were not round? ;)
*g*
*g*
rocks :)
AROUND, not round of course :)
Fantastic work with the sync! I love these sudden changes of the camera angle. It's all so stylish and clean. And the music is nice. This is going straight to my favorites folder.
about 1234 times as good as the other functionprods!
I disliked the music but the coding (despite instability on some machines) is really good. the cube surrounding gets boring with his lines and halo after 2/3 minuts. but the sync is excellent. colors are ok too.
it has my name in it!!!! so thumb in gargaj's ass!
IT ALSO _REQUIRE_ A BUGFIX!
(oh, the demo si the kickass btw)
rox! :)
but the name of the demo should be something like Strüctürë. :P

synchs were okay, no real style flow, ugly coder colors :/
com'on guys, get some decent designers and fuck us :)
com'on guys, get some decent designers and fuck us :)
Boring & ugly design. Thumb up for the cool music sync and because it's a one-man prod though.
Could have been made in 64k by the way :)
Could have been made in 64k by the way :)
Gargaj = kickass synch guaranteed. Not just the beats, the whole interpretation of the music.
Music rocks, code is OK though the blur routine seems to be a bit slow, which fucks up the synch at some points of the demo on my machine.
Design could be better but I honestly wouldn't call it ugly. I think everything would look way better using a sharper texture for the walls, and a better chosen font.
Extra thumbs for being a one-man prod :)

:D
Not really in synch on my poor little fx5200...
Some scenes were a bit boring-long, some were cool, one reminded me at a sony commercial for their portable music player. But I'm still waiting for the "perfect" cube-demo, paniq started one once but never finished it, maybe this made me to a "bitter old man" when it comes to excessiive use of cubes...
Ok, a thumb to compensate Fzool's hard (but (at least a bit) fair) thumb, even when Arts was better. ;)

Uhh, ownz!! Kickass sync & really moody music... I like it.

Starts with nice sync and feeling but then it gets boring easilly..
I like cubes. I like synch.
cool sync and nice music.
but at home was the ending a bit out of sync.

i've almost forgotten to thumb up:)
you did it darling :)

Good work, gargaj. not my style, but you pull it off somehow.
Ugly font and buggy blur. Syncs weren't that great either. A piggie.
haven't seen it, but looks like a clone of this

fun
crashed right after something started to happen after the long intro :/
Proves that a good synch can turn rather simple/minimal/poor (you choose) visuals and code into something worth watching.
The personal greets are sweet...
The personal greets are sweet...
A big leap forward in design, with the usual great sync and cool music. Nice greetings part also, nothing wrong with that font :) Definitely the best ÜD so far.
up for the demo. teccett.

damn.. it crashes on entering effect two.. geforce 256 DDR.. it was looking good though.. where are the coder colours??
But, why isn't this called "Strüctüre"?
I'll have to watch this next time I boot into Windows
I'll have to watch this next time I boot into Windows
I liked it very much. Music simply great, things concerning synch are also, and the cube at the end is crazy! :) Good job Gargaj.
okayish
i won't install any fucking even-newer-directx-version for any demo especially when it doesn't really need it.
gargaj ne legyel lusta mert seggberuglak! :)
gargaj ne legyel lusta mert seggberuglak! :)
kick the cube! ;)
blala, you'll have to, sooner or later
ugyhogy ne legyel lusta, mert seggberugunk :)

reptile, te meg vigyazza', me' ma' 98-ban is meg akartunk enni, sor ne keruljon ra :D :D :D
That's no tree sir, it's a coral!
Also, I'd like to second blala, this really doesn't justify dx9c. It's perfectly possible to make this demo run under dos in software, and that's what I demand, even if it makes the coder's life hell to the extent that such demos are never released.
about the demo... some nice stuff, wasn't super incredible, but nice enough for a rulez.

what the FUCK is the big problem with people requiring the newest version of directx? should developers be forced to use old SDKs (or have to hack around this) just because some lamers are too damn incompetent to keep their system up to date? when a new version of directx comes around, this is for a reason. stop the sissy-act, and download that fuckin' update. it's not like you guys have anything better to do.
I'd like to make it clear that the part of my post about latest sdks and dos was, infact, sarcastic, and that requiring the latest directx is, of course, perfectly acceptable. Unless you have no internet connection, and can't download it. In which case you really shouldn't be complaining about that here.
i only get bluescreen when trying
and bluescreen means reboot.
and bluescreen means reboot.
i only get a black screen with some blue boxes when trying.
kusma, i tell you what the FUCK is the problem. when any m$-update comes out, one must wait for the *plebs* to try it out: what BUGS and "sissy-act" it has/involves, what it *FUCKS* up totally, how it hurts your privacy, and so on... or at least, to make sure it works at all. capisci? (for example, xp sp2 is a _big collection of bugs and incompatibilities_ i *NEVER* will install)
and please stop calling wise people lazy just because of their wisdom, if you don't want your head to be torn off and your brain and eyeballs eaten by big, fat worms :D :p :D
(sorry for being rude, but total trust for m$ is not acceptable if you and your species want to survive)
:D :D :D

I agree with kusma. Developers wants to be up to date with the latest sdk. It can also provide a great speed advantage for the user, if nothing else.
DirectX is released like, every year? The last 9.0b SDK was released in the summer of 2004, that was two years ago! Come on!
And alvaro, you can install 9.0c without sp2. Even though sp2 works perfectly here.
I'm really tired about those "is not justified"-comments, too. Developers use whatever they want to use. We won't keep 5 years of SDK's and have x versions of our code for different API versions, all up to date.

Uh. correction. 9.0b was released in 2003. 9.0c was released in 2004. ok, that's one year.
I'm really good at maths when I'm tired. ;) And apparently I have no idea of what year it is right now.

gargaj, please support 1280x1024, my tft's native resolution ;) 1280x960 will look fucked up and anything else will look slightly blurred..
about the demo, heey, very nice indeed! beautiful. great feeling, nice graphics. music and demo style fits perfectly. but gargaj, be kind to our beloved cubes.. ;)
not everything was in perfect sync though, but yeah, i know it's hard..
not everything was in perfect sync though, but yeah, i know it's hard..
fox: Your tft should have an option to disable stretching, leaving 1280x960 unstretched and looking very clean. Furthermore, most (all?) tft's with 1280x1024 native resolution have a 5:4 aspect ratio, which slightly stretches demos vertically when running with 1024 lines. (Unless they're coded to compensate for 5:4, something I have yet to see.) For my tft I have an option called "keep aspect ratio" which solves viewing issues.
----------
As for the demo, where's the guitar???
Oh, and I liked the tree best, but I've always liked animated fractal style trees. Just another one of my stupid fetishes...

Or, like you said, maybe demos should have an option for the 5:4 ratio. Not all cheap 5:4 panels have aspect ratio compensation. The one I got for lugging around to demo parties sure as hell does not.
alvaro: quit being a paranoid sissy-boy and get up to date. no. microsoft does not spy on you.
by the way pantsie-boy, you REALLY frightened me with the threats of my "head to be torn off and your brain and eyeballs eaten by big, fat worms". yeah.

Reminds me of the one TPOLM intro whose name I cannot remember. Nice ideas and nice synch, but somehow it was a bit.. plain. Not that much content. I liked the music a lot.
Hihi. smell of strong namevoting here :)))))
cute
holy shit, this demo is one of the best i've seen in a long time, not to talk about the synching :D
keep up the good work, hope to see more of these killer demos from you gargaj ;)

btw,the begining reminds me of the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

WORD. Well done.
WORD. Well done.
lovely z-rotation synchs. some kewl rendertotexture effects too, and the darkening of corners on the tree effect was a nice touch too.. kudos for fixing it for my underachieving hardware :)
Everything is much better now <3
hmmm.. not exactly my thing.. and a bit too slowish on nowadays pcees..
Very nice. I like the glow-effects and the sync-deformation very much :)
Also a nice tune.
Also a nice tune.
Quite nice, especially the music sync.
partyversion ran fine on my regular box (athlon xp 2800+, 1GB ram, gf6800gt 256MB), final version now also runs fine (with decent performance) on my laptop! (p2 2.8GHz, 512MB, radeon 9000 64MB) great work gargaj =)
and yeah, I really like the soundtrack =)
and yeah, I really like the soundtrack =)
Final works. Cute little cube greetro. A thumb for caring about people with outdated configs.
Simple and cool. I like it.
finally :) yes, creds for caring so much
I like it, it's heavily influenced by some of my other favorite demos, so what's not to like about this one? thumbs up.
yay! cubes and glow and fractals make me happy.
yay sync
best ÜD demo, imho
very good surprize
great comeback, ÜD!
finally bothered installing dx9c..
nice syncs.
specially liked the snow part.
nice syncs.

One of the UD members is my lovechild. I won't say which one. Anyway, great prod, nice stuff overall, and it's always fun to see secret preview images turn into real productions. Good stuff!
from what i recall this was a bit too simple for my taste but "i'll just give it a rulez coz gargaj is a nice guy"

This Demo is what the word style was made for.
booooooooooooooring
what i'd like to do.
the cube is your friend...
style!
well, plain boring ok...but who's capable of doing all that stuff on his own deserves the biggest thump up.
Nice.
ehhhh. i never thumbed this!??!?!?! UP!!!
rotating cubes made cool shock to my demo brain!
cool
just ok
runs fine now. cool sync. minimalism. ambience. a nice watch
cube me beautiful!
smooth
Good zik & syncs.
brilliant.
more like 64k stuff. but cubes == rulez. (while torus is the opposite.)
The visuals are closely binded to the music which is cool, even more so in the follow up. This one is structured a bit more traditionally. The music spoils this one for me just like it did with the second, this seems to have many of the same samples...
Pretty nice effects but it just doesn't make a lasting impression and the sequel is essentially better.

quite nice
synth is cool... and the tree is kind of pretty... but way too much camera movement for me
nice drums and triming
Just ok
For me, it's lacking of inspiration.
Far below its sequel.
Far below its sequel.
Mmm.. i'm just saying to myself that i was a bit harsh when i first thumb this one down.
Maybe, it's because i first discovered structure 2: sequence which i consider as a true masterpiece. So i was disappointed.
Sorry then...

excellent
Just ok
nice to see individual greetings in a demo. However, its a bit 4kish in its content. I set 1600x1200 and medium render target which result in awful jaggies on cubes: better to force rendertarget size correlated to screen size maybe?
auld: ..it's 5 years old..
Cool! Hadn't seen this but I really loved "Structure 2". But this one rules too. Could have probably been a 64k though, even in 2004.
ok gargaj - thats a fair comment.
nice
Clasicismul in opera demosceniana.
4 blue rounded cubes in a black room with grid walls, lightening with the music beats
more cubes, white, pulsating and stretching as frequency meters
white neon 3D tree
transparent squares falling like snow flakes
blue tunnel with credit words in white neon
metallic rounded cube sine waving, morphing
synth/dnb music

Very nice music, and I loved the perfect synching to the music at the beginning and end of the demo.
I just wish the middle part would be synched as well, was a bit boring.
Anyway, good demo... but I prefer the 'sequel'.

I forgot to thumbup this one :) I love the sync and the style on it
so simple, and so elegant!
OK for the synch, would work for me as 64k
