Oh my, can't believe it! That's just awesome!

Very similar concept-wise to the 2nd stage boss, but the visuals are way more polished and work extremely well for me. What a stunner!
spine-tingling final boss fight in only 4k.... Great
So awesome.
It's always good to use an actor (a spaceship, an aircraft or something else) to make a flybay demo more interesting.
Awesome stuff, although the re-use of concept drags it down a bit for me.
It's a similar concept to previous productions from 0x4015 (two prior prods) but it still brought down the house! NEON EVERYTHING
It's so great you did exactly the intro people wanted to see. <3
Awesome way to end a trilogy. Literally blew me away yesterday.
What Triace said.
awesome stuff
Excellent.
what a followup
fucking epic!
First R-Type had 8 stages.
You have 6 to go.
You have 6 to go.
So much polished content for a 4k. Unbelievable!
Haha, this was great! Minor quibble: the fact that the ships kept rotating almost all the time made me slightly angry. :)
!
Nothing to say
cdak gaming :)
what Trilkk and diver said ;)
yes
awesome work done in only 4K
Hmm... A lot better colors than your previous intros, but the direction was not as good as earlier. Though, I like this :)
Mind==blown.
awesome! love the connection with 2nd stage boss!
so beautyfull and powerfull
purrfect.
nice
Good direction :)
Cool
yes!
Amazing stuff, simply mind-blowing!
No doubt, this is technically good, buts it feels like basically the same intro as Final Stage. Same story, different actors, less wow-moments.
interesting music, shiny visuals. love it.
Pheeeew!
great stuff (but I liked the music more in your 2 previous 4K)
awesome sequel to second stage, now I want a complete playable game of that in 8k :D
Excellent direction. The final explosion effect really delivered. A worthy winner.
I was initially a bit lukewarm towards this, mainly because I felt it was just a rehash of the two that preceded it. Watching it again at the airport this def was winner material. The camerawork again is just insane, and you make it look so easy. Additionally this is one of the best examples of sense of scale in a demo production. Achieving something like this regardless of any restrictions takes a lot of care and effort, and the fact that this is in the 4k category just sweetens the deal. Congrats, again.
visually very nice and definitely crowdpleaser material as well.
deserves a place in the top 3 for sure.
deserves a place in the top 3 for sure.
Not as good as Horizon Machine in my opinion, but that's only preference.
Still very impressive for 4k, with some amazing visuals and okay music.

An epic conclusion to the trilogy!
What Hopper said, but not my personal fav from the compo..
\o/ jaei!
Epic in code and flow and direction...and storytelling, so the clear winner for me !!!
Actually, with this one I have the same problem as with 2nd stage boss - total cliché crowd pleaser. It's a solid job, but it is not what I am looking for at the demoscene. A piggy from me.
i'm not sure if this should have won...but it is definitetly remarkable for 4k.
Impossible
it's nice, a proper scifi action movie scene in 4k. too bad it's kinda ugly and uninventive apart from the direction.
Just listened to the audio properly for the first time... that ending sound, whaaaaaatttt....
Neon boss fight fractal! Nuff said!
2nd stage boss was much better in every way imo.
Cool.
A *very* worthy sequel to 2nd Stage Boss, and an awesome 4k in general.
I'm with a-move
awesome, i love the way you put an entire universe and story in it

Haha, me too. Those senselessly spinning buggers just want to show off. ;) It looked like a weird production oversight in an otherwise finely tuned (yet seemingly re-hashed) intro.
Like its predecessor this works much better on a huge bigscreen+PA than at home :).
I don't get the fuzz about this. (Too) low performance for pretty standard rendering and content, and some quite random camerawork with all that senseless rotation (and near gimble lock flips), and being mostly a rehash of 2nd stage (which was imho much more solid with it's straight line approach). Feels too much an attempt to tack a "story" on a raymarched fractal flyby. Barely top 5 in THAT compo imho.
The moment when the camera zoomed in while tracking the squadron is when I was sold. Then the explosion came.
Was this the best intro in the compo? I don't know.
Does it matter? In the grand scheme of things, probably not.
It was truly the clash of giants in front of our eyes.

Maybe not perfect (ships flying through seemingly solid elements!?) and also a very cliché plot that has been used elsewhere not too long ago, however the content stuffed in such a small package is incredible. It also looks and sounds really nice. And the explosion at the end is just the icing on the cake. Fantastic!
When I saw this at the party I thought
"Oh, 0x4015 is visiting Revision to pick his Meteoriks and made a remix of his intro to show something in the compo".
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I just didn't expect it to win because "it's just the same again".
That being said it's of course also totally awesome again.

Massive!
yes!
Amazing. Really impressed to see that at Revision!

Okay :D
ビッグパーティー。;)
ビッグパーティー。;)
A bit disappointing that this was so similar to the last one, but it had great camerawork and a lovely glitch ending I can't help but love!
Also, super glad you could come out to Revision this year, but I didn't get the chance to meet you, so please come back next year as well :)

Again, good looking, nice sounding prod which has tons of content for a 4k. Bit similar to the two former intros but this one is my favorite from this "series". The glitch ending was the cherry on top.
Superb on the bigscreen
Eye-candy visuals, but the direction is not on par with 2nd Stage Boss. The bland, spherical "explosion" looks out of place, but the ending is cool.

Very entertaining overall and some of the scenes are really impressive. I just wish the design and model of the ships were more interesting (lack of space I guess) and the way they move more believable.
Nicely made but for some reason it doesn't work for me.
A worthy successor. I'm looking forward to the 1st-stage boss prequel!
cool
Rocks like Kagawa! ;)
Looks very weird and wonderful. Somehow the boss reminds me of the “Tet” from Oblivion.
Ok, but almost rulez.
Slow as hell.
Slow as hell.
please no final.. the aliens have build an even bigger spaceship and are on there way for a payback! :D
Decent. :)
nice
A new standard for 4k!
Awesome! <3
Great final.
Mission complete
great
I felt a little disappointed because of the rehashing and the overall feeling of going for the lowest-hanging fruits, but it's still more than a solid work with competent direction and camera handling. Can we expect a sizecoded danmaku shooter at some point? :p

Excellent remix and improvement over the previous party. Great direction and ending.
what they all said =)
loving it!
missing the OMG! reaction from 2nd stage because it was that fresh and built up way better. still very nice. and hey, it is a 4k with nice sound, good visuals and a story. well done!
Amazing raymarching quality
Really nice work
Nice
Nice!
A worthy third part of a trilogy of sorts.
What others said is true tho: When you know its predecessors, the impact is somewhat diminished. It kinda feels like the story of 2nd Stage Boss transplanted into the world of Optical Circuit, and the music again feels more generated than actually composed - good enough but in contrast to some of the other 4k intros at Revision this was a letdown.
But all criticism aside it still looks gorgeous and people really shouldn't underestimate how hard it is to get a proper "story" into that size (turns out animation data really compresses worst of all), plus having enough bytes left for that ending and its effects. Well done. :)

Top!
Cool scene, nice shaders! :)
awesome!
Good stuff!
Oh, yeah, it reuses the same concept as their previous intros, so what? It's a different piece, with its different code, different visuals, different soundtrack and, above all, equally as extremely good, if not even better than their other prods, and still in just 4 freaking KB. In short: Stunning and a well-deserved 1st place. Congratulations!
orgasm!
This was shot so well. Tremendous camera work.
Cool 4k, seen it at Demoscensklubben, MDT9k and now the Evoke 2017 demoshow but forgotten too thumb it up good stuff from Japan
That Moment Who The Camera Enters The Pyramid.
workmanlike, and thats all i have to say about that
2nd stage boss beefed up
So cool!!!
Zomg ! 0_0
Came here after reading a thread about how all the great 4ks were released a decade ago, but remembering seeing this live at Revision. And being amazed at so many 4ks at both Revision and Evoke in 2017.
This is one of my favorites, because it tells a coherent story; the effects aren't just amazing effects -- they're used to tell a story. All the way up to the end.
