I have seen many many intros from intro hitmakers like FR, Potion, TBL, Cryonics, Pulse and many others....when I saw this one I stayed with my mouth full open "Is this really 64k ? " .... One of the smartest intros I ever liked....total code as always by Ryg and Chaos.....unebelievable models and gfx from gIzMo and cool KB music with vocodered women voices..... ROXXX AS HELL !!!!

I haven't seen such a "kaupallista potentiaalia" -production since Boost by Doomsday :) .. Dunno if it's because of the tits or what, but I think this is my favourite fr production so far.

A little buggy at the end(credits), but very good atempt at organic modeling/animation and some of the vocals were really good!

A while back I found myself thinking how cool it would be if more demos made as much effort with sound as they did with the visuals. FR restore my faith in a piss-taking 64K. Rocks my socks.

Kinda nice looking, but once again I don't like kb's soundtrack that much(even if it's one of his best).

The case for:
- Amazingly cool music
- with amazingly cool vocoderthingy
- nice 3D modelling

The case against:
- Crashed my PC at the end (ran fluently though)
- Design way too clean (I'm not aiming here at kitschiness or anything, but the typical FR-style - just not my taste sorry)

Just have to note againts my comment that, yes, everything in it was pretty impressive for 64k, but still no thumbs from me :)

I liked this very much, but the last little bit is less interesting. But this is only a 'party' version, so who knows... But the vocoder, I personally couldn't understand a word (It is in English, right?), although the effort alone is fantastic.

rocks! nice soundtrack & nice nudity! I have the feeling that fr slightly ran out of time... or out of space. Credits were buggy here too and it crashed at the end (at least i thought it was the end), but still worth a thumb up.

Boring 3D stuff but nice vocoderstuff in the music.

Vocals (speech synthesis?), music and models were lovely, but I still prefer the older intros by farbrausch which had more effects/diferrent parts/complex scenes..

This is pretty pathetic for fr, althought the music is quite good. I expect much better from the final, including comprehensible lyrics ;) Don't let us down farb-rausch!

This one was nice, but quite unfinished. I wait for the final. Music quality is kicking for sure. It may not be the winner.

effects were quite ok (maybe worse than in previous intros). as we go further on 3d model generation or musics, all i can do is wonder! so great, so great...

good stuff but pop intro sucks.

The vocoder was an expected addition to the fr book of tricks and the design was as clean as previous releases. All in all it looks really really nice, and is quite enjoyable to watch -yet doesn't have the appeal of, say, fr-019.

this rocks of cf course, the minor flaws are:

- it's practically just one scene with constant colour sheme.

- some parts are lacking animation and appear too static in general, which makes it feel like a simple envmap object show from 1995.

- that chick should immediatly consult a professional doctor about her feet!

Well, of course, there can be said a lot against this intro (and most of it has been said already), but overall, it's very very good. The best Farbrausch production in a long time, if you ask me. :-)

after watching poemtoahorse I said to our coder that the next stop will be realistic human models with animation in 64k.. and there you go, (almost) realistic human models, animation, and even vocals. not much besides that, though, just some rotating cubes, let's hope the final will change it...

Even if I'm generally against tits in demos I can't help myself liking this intro very much. Kudos to kb for making his softsynth even better! The soundtrack is really what makes this intro special (yes, it's good modelling but I'm still against tits in demos :).

A very nicely done female model squeezed in there, the colors were just fine for my taste (and eyes) and, as usual, kb rocked my world. I am also against tits/nudity in demos (so sue me), therefore I would prefer if the model had some clothes on.

Somehow, the "blue room" scene needs a geforce to run properly, it blacks out on a TNT2.

Expected something different, but it's nice :P

Although I personally still consider APoemToAHorse as the best Farbrausch intro, this one's a definate number two, if only for KB's great soundtrack, which deserves the spotlight with its excellent voice coding (a step up from Planet Potion). The human model, coloring and effects are a plus. Farbrausch, don't stop your evolution. Respect!

alright.. well, i guess this is frickin' cool.. the music is exactly what i like and the fact a voice synth was squeezed in there leaves me in awe.. the model actually looks like a real woman (proportions are not stupidly out of scale) and because of that is the sexiest demo woman i've seen.. she does seem to have mittens for hands and gumboots for feet, but hey, i guess you needed those extra polygons for nipples.. anyways, great modelling.. the fact she looks so good and moves quite well keeps it from being too uhm, adolescently sexist.. so therefore, my only complaint is that the framerate is low compared to other fr productions and, of course, the need to reboot after watching.. grr.. but thumbs up for sure..

the music does it all, imho. visuals are good (not even talkin about that barbie doll animated - her hairs doesn't even move :D ), but i preferred "poem to a horse" concerning visual aspect. -- or maybe should i just buy a new graphic card to enjoy the demo :p

Didn't like it much... the nudity was a bit offputting, and there was just too little else to justify a 'rules'. The music... somehow the music failed to live up to the rave reviews I've seen here. Add that to the fact that it crashes and it's probably my least favorite of any Farbrausch production to date (!) (except perhaps ghettoblaster :-p)

That's no final version, that's a different intro. Although it features more geometry, all the coolness is gone. I definitely stick to the party version.

There were some aspects I missed from the party version, but a lot of additional work has gone into this final version and there are a lot of new features.

It's great to see that there are still sceners who are willing to put so much effort into a post-party release. Great work!

i talked with ryg a little on irc, explaining why i thought things could've been slightly better here and there. ryg on his turn told me how things were developed. for me that was interesting, at least.

If we ignore that part it has some nice scenes.. but.. I dunno.. it's missing something. It doesn't make kebbys tune justice! It needs alot more sync. Fx feels a bit sown together and the tune has alot more energy than the demo expresses.

plek: As a matter of fact I am working on a demo right now. Besides, nobody has to actually write demos in order to be allowed to post their opinions here. It's not like you have to 'earn' the right to say anything here.
As for subpixel-accuracy, yes I mention that sometimes, because I think that if you do software-rendering, you should at least do it right. So I try to give constructive criticism by pointing out to the coders that such a thing exists, and it can hopefully improve their next production. In this way I contribute, whether you like it or not.

Love the slower paced, whispering vocals swirly scene. Definitely a better version I say. FR, you are poster children for scene spirit. Never stop.

there's a bug when i run it on a radeon 9000. it could be fixed by now, though i don't think those fixes were the reason for this to occur. i made a screenshot allright, but since i spilled a bottle o' london tonic over my 3com switch i ain't got no (inter)net at home ;)

Now it is more 'tron' than 'candy' and I think the music goes rather with candy. I miss the smooth objects from the partyver and the backgrounds were better, too. This 030030030... spoils the smooth design.
And sometimes the color compositions are not very nice(solid blue with green or pink).

Still it deserves the thumbz alone for the effort put in this final.

I'd prefer this version if it wasnt totally out of sync on my system.... the party version is not. But anyway, lots of content, and the music is just as good as ever... way to go FR!

ryg: wobbly, yes, but this version is more like..... delayed. everything seem to happen after cca 2 seconds when compared to the audio. not that im very lucky with recent FR stuffs in this regard - in fr-025 i used to see the man at the end walking to the rythm, but now its a bit faster, causing him to miss the beats

Great work, guys -- the demo says "Farbrausch style" through and through. The music also sticks in your head after only one listen, which is pretty rare in a demo... even more rare in a 64k prod. I like that this version has more effects in it... rooty, but futuristic and stylish at the same time. Excellent.

picked up direct x 9 for this. worth it, because this was a nice prod! I liked the idea of including vocals in the music, even if they were vocoded. I don't have anything against vocoded vox, if it suits the style, but I did just come from watching Volatile by Addict. Aside from that I really liked the chord changes in the music.

I don't understand one word of what the girl is singing but this intro rocks.

yep, big thumb up to weasel for that mix. I think parts of the party version were cooler too, although so much changed its almost like watching 2 different prods at times. And respect to farbrausch for doing so much for just a final!

impressive to see the difference 1:1 .. didn't realize they were _that_ different, those intros. tho, i prefer the partyversion over the final (except for the end) for being more candy.

I first downloaded all 3 videos, but only kept the MIX and deleted the others because with them, all the MP3s from AY riders Speccy couldn't fit in my USB disk :P

Still my favorite. I ran it on my old 32mb Radeon, then upgraded to a 128MB GeForce FX 5200... amazing how much difference some RAM can make. I have this song on my MP3 player, too; the music and the graphics are equally impressive. You could shut off your monitor and listen... and be amazed that the music is in 64k, or you can mute the sound and watch the graphics and be amazed it's in 64k. Either way, it's simply mind boggling.

It seems that candytron (final) doesn't like to run on a system with latest DX v9.0c and latest nvidia drivers v61.77 anymore! :-(

Screen goes black after starting and pre-calc bar is shown for a few secs then it returns to the desktop again without anything else... :-/

fantastic and all; firstly this is a hundred times better than fr-025, of course a miraculous acheivement in 64kb.

I must admit that in my messed up little head, the music just isn't to my taste/style. Also yeah, i've always had a bit of a weird paranoid complex against demos where people go "tits=thumbsup.period." hm... So, therefore I perhaps don't think of it as 'the perfect intro' (not as flawless as fr-08)

but what i DID like is the amazing screen compositions, including the incorporation of text; which is to die for - and probably the best i've seen in any intro. big thumb up and certain viewing tip

Heard the track so often and watched the demo multiple times, now it was time for a thumb.

I also made a Highres Youtube Rip
While ripping, I noticed that with current NVidia drivers and Win7 there are quite some graphic bugs. in WinXP with current drivers it ran flawlessly.

somehow cant connect to the tune and the color scheme is a little _too_ candy for my taste.
still a timeless classic, of course.

Somehow i love candytron... but in fact the score is the most remarkable thing in it (i still use it as a ringtone, i deeply hope kb won´t sue me), the rest is rather fast out of mind... except for the boobs of course^^

Didn't like it too much, but it's a nice prod and an interesting implementation of rudimentary voice synth in a 64k.

one of the first pc demos i liked... the music really rocked ... the speech synth was a good addition to the music... visuals i liked more from poem to a horse anyway

I've been conditioned to question the "hornyness" here. Doesn't fit in with today's opinions. Disregarding that, it's got pretty good music and tech. Runs well in wine with dxvk.
