Oldskool and great!
excellent!!
LOVE.
Godlike music. Insane transitions. Pure oldskool looking. Breathtaking. I have no more words right now.
Most amazing prod I've seen in a while.
A resurge in the Amiga scene!! old legends making a comeback??
Thank you Lemon!! i had a smile watching this live on the stream from start to finish!!
Well done!

Well done!
Fantastic demo! - Welcome back paradroid.
Yes, Lemon is back! And with a brilliant remake of one of my old favorites. OCS FTW! Transferring it to real HW later today to enjoy it like it should.
feels like here are the best transitions and design of all times.
Awesome production for the old chipset and additionaly a very rounded off demo.
This was pure awesomeness! Damn.
Amazing!
Amazing direction and music. I wish MOD file!
What can I say? Hell yes!
Absolutely brilliant! My favourite demo since my last favourite demo! :D
oldschool never dies.
1993 style executed perfectly
solid demo, thumb up!
A small bug in the plasma effect was all I could notice on plain A1200 reverted to nocache+OCS. It really is worth watching on a CRT screen if you've got one - the overscan stuff looks soooo good.
A well made redux with enough improvements to be more than just a re-release.
sorry. i prefer the original to this. cool to have you back though.
fantastic stuff! supersmooth!
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww fantastic! +1000

Just awesome!!!
nice!
Lemon. \o/ Great comeback!
Saw it via stream and loved it. Its clean its fluent and although the effects are oldschool, its better than many Amiga demos released today because it all fits together. Loved the design and how you worked your way through the different scenes.
Blast from the past. Classic effects redux. And the transitions/presentation where amazing!
works on my A2000.
the new version has got the announce style ;D
the new version has got the announce style ;D
thk thk Paradroid! nice work and A500 power is still alive! .. just one question: the original prod is was not called "rink a pink?"
GREAT!
what a surprise to see a new lemon. release... great!
meet the new boss. same as the old boss
Excellent! Very nice comeback and much better than I first suspected when I saw the title! :D
Excellent, thank you Paradroid. s!Nk: No, it wasn't, some people are just unable to read ;)
Bunch of oldchool efects, glued together with well done transitions.
.
.
Great demo. What bugo said.
insane
Absolutely fantastic!
holy fucking shit.
Love this, and after watching you put yourself through finishing coding it over the last few days, you deserve the thumb even more!
1.2, OCS, 512kb, design, music.
Excellent!
Super duper super!
I stand here and I'm 20 years younger, I salute you!
Great, super, design, code, music.
Great, super, design, code, music.
State of the Art transitions, insane!
Bzz.
Yes, finally after some years lemon release something again, goosebumps allover..more please!! Amigaaaa
No need to be an Amiga owner to understand that this was a hell of a lot of work.
Great work! Fresh and definitely reinstates Lemon where they belong in the scene :)
Best in the compo. This is not only extremely reminiscent of a 20 year old demo, but it fixes all of the silly cliches of the era. I also have to point out I loved all of the music tracks. Hats and pants and whatever else off.
Classy as fuck
I guess Paradroid is preparing his acceptance speech now yeah?
Bloody brilliant.
Bloody brilliant.
Impressive
Lovely!
It's Amiga with a touch of Lemon! Great work.
Fucking brilliant! This is what Amiga is about. Welcome back Paradroid!
All I can say is I wish I was there to see it on the big screen, absolutely epic, such clean transitions and has a contemporary feel to it.. does the original justice so so much.. Paradroid I salute you! <3
Need to see it again on my A500, but instant thumb up is well deserved after seeing this on the videostream.
Very solid demo! It's like a compendium of all the good things of the Oldschool Era of the demoscene. ;]

A perfect demo in all aspects, simply magic.
coool, retro!
Really, really, really great OCS demo.
Retro effects with perfect style and great music! Thanks for this.
Brilliant from start to finish, absolutely love the music too!
Insane! \o/
:O
Awesomeness
How lovely! 1993 was such a brilliant year for the Amiga, cheers for doing this release.
Amiga Rulez Again! And indeed, AGA suxx!
A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!!! Gimme more !!!!!!!!
Not much to say that was not yet said. A really nice display of craftsmanship :)
What a comeback! Awesome!
What the Hell... A new lemon product.. Just.. Amazing :D
Nice to see a demo by you, perfect show, Amiga Vibes never die, they only get stronger over time, and now.. bring your next one on :D
Big Thumb Up for that piece of Magic :)

shit goes hard. didn't think i'd be surprised by an A500 demo again.
Best OCS demo ever? A great demo with a lot of love and passion. Thank you so much for the fantastic show. Are paradroid a god?
Best design flow I've ever seen
Awesome OCS demo. Might be the best ever on the OCS-chipset. Hope to see more stuff in the future..
HAMMER! This is how demos should be timed. I'm soooo happy I saw this on the big-screen.
Amazing remake I Reborn ! THX
great show!
I lack words, here, have a tear instead. Lemon. Is back! Totally surreal!
Excellent!
Highlight of this party
.
Das ich das noch erleben durfte <3 ... instant classic, can't wait to transfer this to a disk and feed my A500 the good news
Brings back good memories!!!

A new lemon product
In what sense is this "a new product"? How can an inferior copy of a 20 years old demo wow so many people? How does this comply with the compo rules? This is just baffling to me. Not to mention the creative bankruptcy.
Sorry, but someone has to point out that the emperor is indeed naked. :)
Insane demo, fantastic design and bring back some greatest memories.
What a come back dudes.
It makes you want to have more Amiga redux :P

Now this is what i call transitions, really those Amigaaaaaaah pals know how to make a demo!
Amazing, fantastic and all other superlatives ever invented. :)
I'm <3'n it.
I'm <3'n it.
@Paradroid: this is only the first of many new OCS/ECS Lemon prods I (we) hope?
Superduper.
think of this as a thumb i'd be prepared to put up on behalf as a musician.
This was great to see and I liked the extra effects, but all in all, I preferred the original.
I don't think this version flowed as well and I missed some of the original Facet and Danny gfx.

Good looking oldschool comeback :-).
my turn: Awsome!
Pretty cool!
Wow, best designed effects on the A500. Too bad the Music was kinda boring....
@tomaes
I would agree, if it wasn't for the fact that everything was coded again from scratch, pretty much every effect has been improved on the original, and there are a whole bunch of new effects and music.
So in summary: I don't agree at all.

Fabulous! Classic Lemon design times two, plus awesome effects. Thank you!
OLDSCHOOL FEELING, all the time. Nice transitions and music...
Wonderful job!
Wow -- instant classic!
everythin done right
AMIGAAAAAAAAAA
I really remember that one from the past and now Iam dancing with tears in my eyes, wow
Just perfect!
YES!! Finally someone made a good Amiga demo again!
Great.
Omg. Best prod of revision 2013 by far!
Finally someone did an amiga demo like this. Typical amiga style from the best years combined with lots of technical achievements and perfect transition work.
I hope this will have an impact on the amiga scene like edge of disgrace had on c64 and bring us more of our old heroes back.

HELL YEEAH!!! This demo leaves me speechless... just got my A500 back out of the cellar to watch this on real Hardware... I feel like a kid in the 90's .. thanks for this Lemon. !!!!
perfect.
Inferior not, remake yes. I have just seen the original again. The redux is much more improved and there are many more additional parts.
Great ! Thanks a lot !
Hell yeaah ! Denise kicks ass again :)
that was f**king ace
fantastic work. as high as in the days! :)
Amazing, fantastic, incredible <keep adding superlatives here>!
For me the early 90ies Andromeda-Melon-Lemon-Sanity style of design on the Amiga is one of the most pleasant visually, so this really speaks to me on that level.
And the code, wow! Whoever it was that complained that this was the same as the original demo clearly haven't watched both. While the original was a great, great demo indeed, there's just so much more stuff in this one, each of them a technical marvel on it's own.
Just to take on example -the big single-color balls. If I recall correctly, most people did this by having a copper list that fiddled with the bitplane pointers, one ball per bitplane, which meant that you had 5 balls at most. Then someone came up with the idea to use the dual-playfield mode, and there were 6. But here it must be some whole different technique since there are way more than that! (did I count 9?)
I probably have more comments once I've watched it more, preferably on real HW. I think this puts me over the edge on finally ordering that HxC I have been pondering...

awesome! Even though I don't have enough technical knowledge to properly appreciate this, it still has really nice transitions and appealing effects. And the music!
Love it! Blasting the music so the neighbours can hear.
Damn this one has STYLE! Thanks guys - fantastic work!
Love love love. Old sceners never die, they just rewrite nicer routines from time to time.
PS. Shame you didn't wait until the next Destiny party to release it.
:D
:D
couldn't believe its OCS!
Instant love! Long live OCS ;)
Perfect in everyway! :)
Had to register only for vote this magic.
that happens, if you use a timemachine to the golden age!
was a blast at the party, will try to rewatch it on my a600 soon
Yeahh ..This is Good..LOvely.. i need more and more :)This is like a drug.
Superb
great demo!
O_o--b
Awesome demo! Amigaaaaaaa!
Why fake oldshool when you can do the real thing with 7.1MHz? Insane transitions...
Oh wow...
^ This is all I've done for the last hour. (I took the morning off work) AMAZING demo from gfx to musics - everything an OCS demo should be :-] Hope to see more in the future! Greets from Australia.
So the lesson learnt here is that old OCS/ECS geezers should take their old machine out of the shrine and start producin' again ;-). This fantastic demo has to inspire old Amiga sceners again no?
loved it during the compo. remake or not, top notch stuff. it really gave me back the early 90ies amiga-love. Awesome transitions, superp gfx and neat code. If life gives you lemon, make a demo of it .-d
I. LOVE. IT.
Pure time machine. Took me back to '93, blew my socks off. Just a shame it dropped me back in 2013 at the end :D
It feels like I've been transported back to 1993 - in a good way. Love it.
Love it! Can't wait to try it on my A500+. ♥!
I like how the original has been "beefed up" after complete recoding, but seriously I can't get all the hype. Waiting for a brand new release instead!
yes!
good
I guess everythings has been said already, i'll just thumb, thank you for this.
Amazing! There are so many Triple-A Quality stuff out at Revision 2013, but I hope we gonna see other Amiga 500 demos like this one! For me, LEMON. is back to what it do best... Thumb Up (aka Rulez =) ) guys!
Wow! Amazing improvement of the first version. The OCS really need this kind of demos in the future... Maybe in some years we will see Sanity vs. Kefrens in the oldschool compo (dreaming is believing :). Paradroid rules!
really cool happy 20th year to Rink a dink :)
Amazing demo!
Great stuff!

Easily my favourite release at Revision, bloody fantastic! Made me feel old and young at the same time, would love to see more :D
That was cool !
Awesome demo really nice to see the Lemon logo again 10/10
RESPECT ! Fantastic piece ! :)
awesome work! \o/
the shit
Brings back a lot of memories... thank you.
my personal favourite from the party. a500 demos are so sexy, and this one brings back some fond memories. i want more OCS!
Fucking awesome remix! This is what I miss on modern demos, the timing precission and perfect transition effects. Btw. I'm still in doubt if the original name contains Pink instead of Dink... Coz I always thought it's a Rink-a-Pink :)
Good to see quality stuff published for classic Amiga.
OMG, how it was *MINDBLOWING* to enjoy a NEW lemon. demo on a demoparty bigscreen, I totally in ma pantz! \:D/
Lemon. at Revision 2013, it's awesome!
@tomaes: Bah... flamebait. But I'll bite. :)
The following effects were not in the original:
Glenz vectors
Light sourced bars
"No AGA" bars
Circles
Dots
Spacecut vectors
RGB Balls
7 effects - That is pretty much enough for a demo in its own right... This version runs for about twice as long as the original before the endscroller.
There is new music and new graphics. ALL the other effects are re-coded and IMHO greatly improved. The new transitions added are great.

This is a nice release and shit, but imho should also open the discussion - are we dead now from the creative point of view and have to eat our own tail?
Who's next to visit their cellar and dug up their classics and apply some polishes to the code? 2014 - Nexus 7.1? Closerrr in 2015? What then? There will be 20th anniversary of every asskicking demo in the universe sooner than we think. Is demoscene becoming another mainstream cinema? Plethora of remixes, sequels, prequels and spin-offs doesn't push this cart any inch forward.
That was fun seeing this on the bigscreen, but then I went home and realized it was also something retarded in clapping your hands to the oldschool classic demo with some tweaks applied. Correct me, if I'm wrong and this release deserve something more than a piggy.

Sure rinks my dink
Amiga OCS/ECS is still alive with high quality stuff.
azzaro: weren't you the one who released Datablade twice with really minor changes?
rulez voll !!
teo: you can barely compare showing a pre-release demo on the big screen at the party abandoned even by its organizers (yes, rush hours'99 was SUCH a failure, they fled out of it leaving people on its own) with a proper release on the next party. mind that 'original' version wasn't even spread after rh99 and was shown publicly ages after the that as a kind of curiosity for the ppl. the bottom line is - wrong example.
Being a fan of the original I expected a pointless redux version but the result is actually excellent, congrats.
The added content is top quality stuff.
The added content is top quality stuff.
@Paradroid: You don't need to apologize. Just bring us more damn good demos! ;)
Paradroid, atleast you didn't hide the fact, that it was a 'remake' - other groups just reuse their effects with the order shuffled and names the demo different.
This redux is awesome as it's both old & recognizable and fresh & exciting at the same time.

Definitely a lot more than just a remake, my personal highlight of the party.
Also, thanks for the .MODs :)
Also, thanks for the .MODs :)
exactly what Alpha C said!
Cheers for the .mods!
Again, going to agree with Alpa C. I love that it's an OCS/ECS demo, too! I look forward to running it on my A500+. :D

@AzzaroMWI
Look at the C64 scene - a 31 year old computer and there's still fresh releases. Sure, there's not much new stuff do discover on that platform but it still manages to impress and amaze you even if the effects are basically the same. The Amiga OCS scene could really use a revival and I don't see why people shouldn't reacquaint themselves with the platform using someting that is within their comfort zone.
Remixes and remakes were prominent even in the years of the releases you name. For example, "Deep - The psilocybin mix" from 1995 is a very popular Amiga demo and it uses more recycled stuff than this prod does. Roots 2.0 by Sanity is another example.
Is it "creative death" to release a funky, good-looking OCS redux demo in 2013 when the last 10 years of the Amiga scene has more or less consisted of the same old C2P 3D 060 stuff (which I mostly enjoy, don't get me wrong) with only new textures and camera angles? Aw, come on...

Absolutely first class :D
While I get Azzaro's point, you also have to take into account that these kinds of releases could maybe push some coders to start working on OCS/ECS releases again. Now I'm also hoping that someone starts to work on those tiny little intros we used to get by groups like Movement, DCS etc. again.
Hitchhikr, übernehmen Sie!
Hitchhikr, übernehmen Sie!
Yeah what the hell, OCS/ECS Amigas have been ridiculously neglected (compared to C64 or Spectrum for example...) the last years, so it's nice to see even "just a remake". Especially one of that kind of quality.
More OCS/ECS stuff prettypleeaaasseeeeeeeee?!

i like this even though it's a remake.

thanx a lot for this superb release.

Nice to see some good demos on the classic Rock Lobster again.
Clearly some parts are similar to the original Rink-a-Dink, but in my opinion they have been improved/polished up enough. Combined with a number of impressive all-new effects, I think it was a worthy winner.
I hope that demos like this (and the Spaceballs one of course) will inspire people to code for classic OCS/ECS Amigas again. May the Amiga 500 achieve the same level of scene evergreen as the C64 has.

what most people said.
Im torn into piggy or up, and its all because i seen the original demo one day before this actually got released, after many years. so all effects, while polished and some new, really didnt have any impact on me. most due to watching the original a day before.. ;) but these tag-like logos u see in the screenshots, no, just.. wrong.. completely out of style with the rest of the demo imho.
Well, nevertheless a thumb up for u, ocs still rocks, but its kinda hard to jump on the omg lemon is back hypetrain and all the starstruck ppl, im quite sure a totally 100% new demo on ocs would change my mind on that.

Absolutly amazing for standard Amiga 500. Really nice tricks.
Wow!!
Maybe this is a stupid question but shouldn't have this been released in the Amiga compo instead?
That déchir bien his race !
Wonderful comeback! Another Revision Party and another Amiga OCS domination in the Oldschool Demo Compo. Who will keep this "tradition" in the next year? :)
Decent. :)
Excellent OCS trackmo! I liked the original RAD back in the day already but this is so much better, excellent transitions, nice effects and really nice to watch! One of the best Revision releases for me, way to go Paradroid & all the others who worked on this demo, top work!

this is what i call a demo. great work guys.
This demo is a worthy winner of the Revision 2013 oldskool demo compo. I don't remember seeing the original but may well have to chase that up if I get hold of a spare A500 via the museum at some point.
Interestingly enough, the party-version of this demo runs pretty well on my unexpanded A1200 that runs KS 3.0. Apart from a smallish black block during the 3 plasma screens at the beginning of the demo, it runs well and doesn't crash, at least on mine. Am loading it through a HxC rev C device too.
It runs best when the cache is turned off via the usual boot-up process (holding down both mouse buttons).

Very cool, certainly had that 90s feel, for some reason Crazy Sexy Cool(i love it!) jumped into my brain when it started.
@Rouquemoute
Well someone decided that the "Amiga Compo" only applies for AGA (and probably later PPC) Amigas and the original OCS/ECS ones go into the oldschool compo.
I guess the OCS people were fed up of losing against more mpressive looking AGA demos...

I agree with their decision. OCS/ECS is closer to the other oldschool computers than a 50mhz 128mb AGA Amiga. If AGA demos was restricted to stock A1200 it would be a whole nother story.
Personally I think that this demo should have competed with other Amiga demos, it could have won there. It seems unfair to other oldschool platforms to have A500 with them. You must have an exceptional demo to beat so so production on A500.
Nevertheless, nice effort by Paradroid, hopefully next year we'll see something brand new )

You can enter an A500-demo in the Amiga-democompo, as long as the demo works on the compomachine

nice transitions and vibe
How can one say that this is an average prod. I don't understand it. I watched it for 50 times again and I still love every piece of it. The music is far from being boring. It's absolutelly gorgeous and brilliant. Just take one more listen to it.
Love it!
As an Atari ST pioneer, i like demos on Amiga OCS that show some optimzed code AND really take advantage of the available hardware.
Add a nice soundtrack and some cool efects and you get a great demo.
Thanks.

Excellent Scroller, Transisions, Balls and Zoomer
Totally awesome, watched it with dropped jaw!
Lots of fun! Really nice pacing and I love the fresh-sounding music (especially that first track). Lemon! =)
Zero innovation. lame effects
Finally... now that I'm able to watch it on my hardware I'm persuaded to thumb this up. Nice use of overscan area btw.

sorry, but i can`t see this. This look like demo from 1992 and we have...checkin...ah, yes 2013.Oh my god, that`s a lot of time, maybe they can do with A500 something more than, let me think...C64 can do?And stop playing on that sentimental crap and show something new?Sorry, i DON`T buy it.

Awesome.

waiting for more
more please!
@paradroid: Loved the old version. Love the Redux version. Thanks for bringing me some of the goold old demoscene feeling back. Great work.
@Rork
You do know that the graphics architecture of C64 and Amiga very much differ from another, and I assume that you didn't read the author's own statements. Otherwise you would've refrained from your last moronic post.
You talk the talk. Can you walk the walk ?

maybe they can do with A500 something more than, let me think...C64 can do
You do know that the graphics architecture of C64 and Amiga very much differ from another, and I assume that you didn't read the author's own statements. Otherwise you would've refrained from your last moronic post.

Keeping Fairlight off the Top Spot!!!
I totally love this one and I'm all for OCS prods, but for the sake of mental health of party compo organizers, I *REALLY* hope trackloaders won't do a regular comeback... ;)
And that someone makes a WHDLoad version really soon... So I can watch it on real iron more often, without having to fiddle with ADFs and broken floppy disks and drives. ;)
Otherwise amazing work in all areas, keep on rockin'!

Absolutely wonderful! High quality with a nice flow!
Incredible!! It's a very great production, thanks a lot to LEMON!

amazing
Great on my real A1200 ! Thank you so much for your talent !
Any chance of WHDLoad support? :) Would rly great.
Yes, one day in the (not so) distant future I'll create the patch for the final version. :) At the moment I'm patching lots of other classic demos though so it may take a while. Patience is a virtue. :D
Looks like I finally made the WHDLoad patch, have fun! :)
@StingRay
Thank you very much! :)
Thank you very much! :)
roto-cube!
StingRays WHDLoad patch works perfectly thanks SR you Rock!
I had to turn off "snoop" in the Tooltypes list though before it would work.

Keito: Snoop mode is not required for normal operation but yes, I noticed that too when testing. I will have a look why it doesn't work with snoop, might be a WHDLoad bug or one in my patch code. :)
Superb! Makes me want a 500 to max out and use as main machine. This demo doesn't like my Blizz 1240.
Amazing remake
The Zedd samples in the soundtrack caught my attention (violently so) when I heard this played at a party. Excellently done.
Great stuff! Nothing revolutionary, but well done.
Cool!
I wanna post about demo at http://pleten-music.livejournal.com/

Lemon is BACK! Now time for the others to wake up! :)
Very nice demo, hope I see more like this in near future on Amiga.
Cool! :)
♥
Amazing effects and pacing. Quite probably the best A500 demo I've seen. Tasty stuff all around; hope to see more from Lemon. eventually!
nice but a real sequel will be better.
Oh, apparently I forgot a thumb here ... correcting!
Love it ! Just watched it like 10th time on my miggy 500. Great flow, msx, and gfx. I want more !
crazy good, but what's with the weird zedd tribute/ripoff stuff around 4:30?
Brings it's own baggage, but this one's got a butler in tow it's that good.
I love it! Very nineties and very inspiring. Well done Paradroid!
Blew my mind on the bigscreen, and after watching it multiple times it's still my gold standard for flow, progression and transitions when I watch other (oldschool) demos. This is sooo good!
This has got to be the best OCS demo ever. Only 29 more thumbs up to prove it is!
Refreshing like lemonade's supposed to be!
Long overdue comment. I just don't know what to write when you do these things :) Here goes. A nice improvement on the original release for your scene comeback.
You did not code this again from the ground up, and I felt it was unnecessary for you to say what was not so, since the scene usually knows their handles and welcomes people back :)
This is the original, re-released with good improvements - I think the color added to the twister makes a big difference visually, and the 9 balls are great! You also added spacecut blenk and glenz, and nice transitions.

This is exactly what I like in a demo. Cool effects, good music, and fluid transitions.
So so good + lemon fresh, take my thumb!
Hoping for more soon? :)

Great! Ace transitions
re-watched the rink a dink 1st version. Woooh, a lot of improvments for this anniversary version, with a lot more effects! Huge prod!
This is the stuff that sets the bar for the oldschool 16 bit platforms for me. Legendary stuff!
such prods make me really jealous of the capabilities of the Amiga Sceners, simply awesome !
Super cool!
yes
Nice remake I think.
This demo made me want to code again on Amiga.
Awesome demo!
cool one, better a late thumb up than never, or?
it's amazing, sometimes there's like a side border but only on the right, what's causing this on the amiga?
Coming up on 10 years old! Probably should pay some respect.
Great!
Very cool!
Awesome!
