Great starfield. There is a difference between making something look oldschool and not being able to create "up to date" effects i guess. This is one of the first. What Zyplex said.

rez: OK the starfield really looks nice, and compositionwise the tune is (still) great. But purposefully making it all look lowres and lofi sounding although the hardware can do more clearly contradicts what the main purpose of demoscene is: take the most out of the hardware.
Disregarding that fact, and taking it into account that it didn't participate in a compo and was done for fun, trying to emphasize nostalgia, well, then I can't complain, but don't expect me to bow upon it.

thumb up because demo making is also about having fun... and personal taste. do demos on a lawnmower on a printer on a c64 on a mobile on an amiga on cpc on pc on a calulator - do it oldschool - do it newschool or something inbetween on even schmuschool. it is what you make out of it.. about expression and what you like ! how many nice and potential newbies have been gone just for the nagging comments of a pile of fault-finders. They should fuckk off.

I have to start making these 96k intros with one effect and generic nostalgia. Maybe i'll get 80 thumbs ups too.
I have to test this someday. I make similar looking demo with few textured cubes rotating on the background. I'll get few comments which all are thumbs down. And then you guys can look this Razor intro and explain why new screners dont like to play with the old ones.

I like these demo/intro/cracktro and i would like to use them like screensavers (when possible), but the detection of viruses are scaring me
