At times it looked nice but mostly felt like a big inconsistent mess. Also some framerate problems and crashed my pc at the end (quadcore, 9800gtx, vista). Props for using java.
Looking forward to the OS X version

The only cool and bit new effects wasa in the beginning. All else was just boring and nothing that i havent seen yet. Piggy for the first scene.
damn. can't make it work. It loads and then exits. There are loads of complaints in the output log.. Seems like it is expecting something to be in c:\am

i updated the archive, should be faster now on geforce 7xxxx cards. seems i was a bit generous with the blur...
hitchhikr: i dont know anyone with a good ati card :) only tested a very old version on an ati, which worked. you could start it in the command shell and send me the output ( tom (at) drastic (dot) net

I like the graphics , but not the tune ( sorry kaneel ). Some texture would have been nice ( I know UW mapping is a pain to do )

It's been a pleasure to have been asked for a tune by pandur as I always have enjoyed his productions.
It's also been a pleasure to be given the opportunity of doing something "different" than usual with almost no limit but the length of the track (the final version might be 7/8 minutes long).
And in the end, it's been a real pleasure to be able to watch a demo using one of my most personnal tune ever.

im glad i get to see some 'sad' demos from time to time.
for the mac lovers: osx version. as you can guess it needs a really fast graphic card. tested on macbook pro with 8600mobile and mac pro with a 8800 gts.
hitchhikr/loaderror: both are problems with shaders, i will look into it, thanks for the logfiles.
strange thing is, on ati cards i dont get any compiler errors back from the card, it just says its not working. i should buy a cheap ati card or something. on osx all shaders compile on a ATI x1600, but its not really watchable...

Something different; I like it, especially the music is cool! Didn't notice any slowdowns in 1280x1024 on a demobox. Thumb up!
Didn't find it very interesting to watch...
as opposed to pandur's earlier work (which from time to time was really, really nice) i find this to look incredibly cheap.
Pretty slow and buggy here. On osx 10.5.5, with c2d 2.4ghz + radeon 2400. The slowness is pretty acceptable considering the gpu (although I'm sure it could be a lot faster, and it seemed like the parts with heavier shaders ran faster than the more simple parts).
The main thing wrong though is that I see something like z-buffer effects, lots of misplaced triangles where objects come close or overlap. It's like z buffering is being done per-polygon instead of per-pixel, big chunky sawtooth patterns on edges.
Let me know if you need screenshots or anything testing etc.

I got about 0.2-1 fps on C2Q 3.6ghz + HD4870. Also there are some missing scenes, black screens and other bugs...

Tried now on OS X, works a treat except some slowdown during crossfade between parts. Macbook Pro, C2D 2.2GHz, GF8600/128MB. Thanks for the port!
Java is for business applications. That's why this demo does not run at any resolution and causes my graphics driver to die and explorer to suddenly claim 100% of 2 cores. Fury.
Bored me. Congrats for managing the JNI-Hell, tho.
