I like very much the fx. Not the music..

Especially that great bump mapping water thing, or the bump mapped alien! Many great looking fx in this one..

wicked style, fx looked good. even some stuff where the rays hit the side of the cylinder. which i find somewhat puzzling =)

i think it could have been a smaller exec, but that's my only complaint!

the music is cool, at least quite near to my taste ;)

Incredible. The water effect isn't as good as what I'd been led to believe it would be, but still, this is incredible stuff. (I'm talking about the original, the win32 just allowed me to see it without downgrading)

Great stuff marq :D Had totally forgotten this demo, but it's a good one and shall stay on my hard disk.

One request though - it's a widescreen demo, but output in 4:3 so you get a border all the way round on a widescreen monitor. Any chance of fixing it for widescreen? I guess outputting in a wide resolution but setting it as non-stretched, and cropping the original output to fit the screen might do it as the OS will put the black bars back for 4:3 screens.

OS4 port, including sources

Based on Marq's SDL source, but big-endian fixed, and now using SDL_Mixer instead of BASSMod.
rulez added on the 2008-06-20 17:05:25 by xeron xeron
Oh it appears spot beat me to it. There is an alternative OS4 port here. It seems Marq updated the SDL source at some point to double-up the resolution. Spots port is from before that change (and thus didn't require big endian fixes), mine is based on the latest sources.
added on the 2008-06-20 17:38:22 by xeron xeron
Actually I did some hacking yesterday with Spot and now it's 320x240 endian clean with modplug :) So it's not exactly the same as the published SDL source.
