I didn't like the first scene, which looked like so many other 4k prods in concept (albeit a bit more shiny). But when the arrows appeared, you had me. The rest was lovely!

The first 2 minutes have been nice, but too long and boring because it's just the same scene again and again. But I could feel there will come something more and you caught me right after with the arrow scene an everything else which was following. Really great production and a worthy winner! Congrats!

What a Fantabulous trip!
Decently pretty reflections... that I think we've been seeing for the last few years already? Black backgrounds especially in an abstract visual style like this are so cheap, could those be ditched already? And does every single hue need to be on screen at once, or rotated through at least? Very pretty rendering but absolutely no sense in using it. The music was garbage too; boring 4klang presets and other equally bad sounding instruments, and everything drowned hideous reverb. Piggy because there's at least a decent amount of content here, even though it does feel like a mere 4k intro with 2x more (if that) content.

Music is phenomenal. I think art direction and graphics are well done and transitions were smooth. I just feel that the scenes were a bit drawn out too long, especially the bubble scene. Overall, I do feel its deserving of its award. Well done.

I caught some very weird illness and are in bed all the time, but now that i started the pc once i wanted to see if this prod is uploaded here yet and so i just read your comments, let me answer some of them:
About the problem with BlackScreen...it´s a known Problem with MultipleMonitorSetups, other prods had it too. The only solution to this is running it on a SingleMonitor and to set your Resolution to the one of the executeable.
(just turn off your other Monitors in your Catalyst/ControlPanel and set the resolution)
The resolution of the executeable in this zip is 720 == 1280*720.
In my case setting the resolution of my primaryMonitor to 720p works, no need here to turn off the other ones, so you might want to try that first.
About low framerate...i coded it on an AMD Radeon HD7970 and all of the scenes run at 60fps here, except the arrows-part which is around 30fps, but never below.
About the first part...it was planned to be shortened, but i didnt find the time anymore, as i ran into weirdest bugs and fixed those until the very last minute.
Also it has reflections, yes, but also refractions, which in my eyes lets it look good. Maybe have another look with this knowledge.
One of the weird bugs had to do with my refractions-code, so maybe my fix destroyed it somwhow, i have to rewatch myself first, but as said i am completely ill and will go back to bed in some minutes.
I want to thank las and gopher for helping with the weird bugs, also everyone who moral-supported me, so i didnt give up at some point.
This was the hardest prod i ever did so far...it misses like 9 parts i wanted to use, as i prototyped em in a new shadertool, and i made the mistake to presume it would render in the resolution i give it, which it doesnt, but i found out only like 3 weeks before the party, so i had to come up with new material. Also running into these weird bugs i never had before in my life, only fixing them some few minutes before the compo started, led to some bugs in the parts there are and i didnt find time to put the planned EndpartBlockOfEffects. The exe is just 6.4kb so you see i had planned to fill the full allowed 8 minutes.
I will do a final of this for sure, with resolution-requester (so you dont have to set the resolution manually in your driver anymore to avoid BlackScreen) and some of the missing stuff and bugfixes etc. etc.
But dont await it to turn up any soon, as i will start a new job next week, also this made more trouble than ever thought already. ;)

A pleasure to watch.
The black screen problem on multimonitor+aero setups is common to dx9 intros - you just need to reset the device a while after creating it (ie, do the setup, generate music/stuff and then reset device).
I have somewhat mixed feelings about this. Some nice scenes, a decent amount of contents (and doing raymarched text takes some space), but some scenes (especially the first) are clearly running for too long, and the colors (especially the trsi logo scene) can be quite harsh.

Very nice rendering, and for once there's a size limited intro that looks different from the usual raymarching fare. However, I have a serious problem with the lack of proper camera work. This "tracking an object on the screen, even when the camera has to almost perform a 180-flip across an axis" is really ugly, and it completely destroys the experience for me.

q(2k15) = 2+k+1+5 = 2+1+5+k = 8k

8k. "Okay" I thought, "let's fire up that youtube video". Then: "woow... shiiinyyy O_O..." then the arrows came... "wow, even a multipart in 8k!" then scene after scene unrolled, all different, all shiny and slick. Thinking about my graphics card I knew better than to download and try to run it. But nevertheless I did it because I wanted to try to have it run on that old mare of mine and - lo and behond - it actually *works* on my old AMD 6950 and not only that, I get a "decent" 20-30 fps!!! O_O Unbelievable! I don't have enough thumbs for this
