Top stuff.

The epitome of Adapt style. Loved those infinite zooming 3D blobby things. Otherwise, I didn't really like the constant focus on the fluid thing.
Nice demo.
Quite nice, but again a bit too messy. Still worth a mild thumb.
One of your best prods definitely. Really love the particle stuff and soundtrack is fitting. Loading time was quite bad and framerate could be little higher but maybe my hw is starting to get too old (gtx570).
And I agree what uncle-x said.. sometimes less is more.

pretty cool. I really like the zooming orange whale thing
best adapt demo so far. probably will win the compo.
Cool demo, some very nice effects, but 10-15 frames-per-second on an HD7870? Could just be Nvidia biased.. Anyway, nice work.
eyecandy!
Eyecandy but at the same time very messy at parts, as said. Music is well made but not my style. Buuut still i can't see any other option than a thumb up for this.
dreamy music vote. also last scene was very stylish.
Probably imo the best adapt demo. Really liked this in the compo, interesting visual look and a nice dub techno track to boot. I particularly liked the silvery fluid.
1-3 frames/s on my 630M but very good visuals !
Nothing special here.
Love it on the stream.
loved*

Very very good effects, of course runs like a snail on my old laptop with ATI.
My favourite from the compo
mine too, great stuff!
some nice fx but rather messy indeed
really cool releasing it with sources, it should be obligatory nowadays.
awesome! also, sources!
Great effects and music, just some design improvements and the next one will be even better..
Despite the "one-trick-pony"-feeling, this was well done and my favourite from the compo. Should have won.
Quite messy at times, but enough coder porn to keep me aroused
for me, the obvious winner
welcome to mars
what a great club style chill out demo, some gorgeous scenes with good flow, should have won the compo as Gloom said.
kickass music
i totally love the code and music in this one but as some others pointed out the direction/flow is a bit lacking.
i think 2nd place is well deserved.

GO DEEPR! \o/
Music and visuals fit very nicely together. I suppose the last scene would've been more dramatic if the camera moved around that liquid stuff but I'm not complaining. Well done guys :)

Pretty good.
this was my fav in the demo compo show. Really nice and great sync with the music :)
Nice design, colors, sound but a bit too much of the same over and over again.
Seriously, was there a good reason to use fxc.exe? :D
Other than that I'm loving this.

I really hoped this was going to win.
should've won, nice soundtrack!
and yeah - it's way too messy.
and yeah - it's way too messy.
It lacked some flow and design for me, and showing a zoom for this long kills the cool factor as it's just showing off, but besides this there were a couple of really cool effect in there (notably the zoom + normals).
Love this. Would have deserved more, though, looks a bit repetitive.
great
this kind of design is really interesting. when I develop dead deer, I'm seeking for attractive visuals, and it implies some inspirations to enhance the whole.
Here is a 1080p Vid Cap @ 386 MB for anyone who wants it.
Some wow! Me like. Looking really forward to your next demo!
I'm wondering if this is a native instruments preset or not. The chord sound I mean. Nevertheless, it's stylish. But nothing I'll remember in 5 years.
Ok
Might have coder pr0n and the music is k, but I absolutely don't like it as a whole.
This was just ok. Many potentially great scenes that are messy and unpolished. I really liked the music and the syncing, it could have been a great demo.
The rendering artifacts also drove me crazy.
The rendering artifacts also drove me crazy.
Cool music, well produced, good sync and love the morphy shizzle. Although I agree it does look a bit messy sometimes.
I like the fact that it's "effect driven" and the music, but visuals are too "contrasted" and make you squint half of the time.
Except for a few clipping bugs here and there, and some mezzorizing views this is a well executed demo. Nice soundtrack, nice design, nice effects and yes a nice Adapt production :) Keep it up guys!!
good work with fluids, it is crowdpleaser, but scenes can be better and more polished.
good picked music
good picked music
This is the demo that I've been waiting from Adapt since forever. I like Concentrate perhaps a bit more for some personal reasons, but this one is finally it.
Great demo
cool effects, ok music
Winner demo for me ^^ great effects and cool music :)
Thnx Adapt
Thnx Adapt
what uncle-x said: nice, but too messy
really cool design
really nice one
somehow simple but very very cool..
heard that the content was partially procedurally generated (= awesome), didn't run smoothly on gtx660+i7+16gb... nice scenes, music and effects but the texts were a bit corny
This is great. Yeah, a bit too messy in places, but still.. great effects and design. Easily the winner for me :)
excellent
i like some of the fx a lot (the zoomer) and its probably the best of the top 3 at asm2013.
however, even in the final,
- it looks so messy throughout, particularly in realtime.
with screen space reflections, if your depth compare func on the ray march is too sensitive or not sensitive enough then you get little noisy/liney artefacts everywhere. youve got them in abundance.
- in some places theres so much layered stuff going on and then a load of rendering bugs/artefacts on top. add in some badly chosen camera + light angles and it becomes very hard to grasp whats going on. composition needs work.
- its not exactly fast (on my radeon 7970)
- i dont like the way the particles are rendered - it was done a lot better long ago in http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=51114. looks very messy and rough here for some reason, and they dont do all that much of interest either.

Loved the music syncs and infinite zooms!
a bit much lights used here an there, but overall a nice demo.
Really nice music and nice transitions/colors etc. But it still doesn't really work for me as I got bored in the end. Still not a bad demo though!
Back on form!
Decent, but it was really choppy on my very old Windows XP Pro. SP3 with ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB; PCIE; 1280x1024). I had to watch it at 320x200 windowed mode. Amazingly it runs (smoothly too). ;) Too bad this demo didn't have other settings to adjust. Its info.txt mentioned FSAA. No way to disable it? :(
kickass music and the visuals were pure eyecandy for me :)
Pretty stunning visuals and visual/audio combo, but there's nothing here that couldn't fit 64k. Expected more from a full-blown demo.
Improve your camera movements a bit more. Almost as good as Balance(Balance is in my top 10 best demos ever).
High production value. Great to excellent in every departments. Love the sound track. Final version still hard on the GPU.
Ran "OK" @ 1280X800 on my 600 GTX @ 1.3Ghz (BIOS moded 1.21V, 150% TDP) and 2500K @ 4.7Ghz on driver version 314.22. Still dip to 17FPS in some places, but average 22-30FPS overall.

Fascinating the detail in each scene. Very compelling to watch.
Yes, my favourite. Love it.
!
wow, this just blew me away!
should have won!
MOAR PLZ!

MOAR PLZ!
this was very enjoyable. good job!
Dull music, but great visuals! Smooth stuff. More please!
very cool! BTW: nice trick to mask the slow fps by jerky movement ;-)
nice to look at
but above all: great music!
but above all: great music!
Certainly great. But for some reason it's the kind of messy that makes my brain shut off the attention at some point.
Jep. Bit messy, but nice anyway.
clearly underrated.
Wow.
This stuff rocks!
Great demo. Amazing, fresh and beautiful!

very stylish prod.
I love it!

One of those demos I feel ought to receive a more thorough comment. This is a very special demo. It's a slow burner though and took me a while to realize, even though there was no question I liked it on the first sight. It hit me early too, but I guess it was one of those cases where you hurt yourself badly, yet you don't immediately realize just how serious the impact was. So this really is for me maybe the best demo in the last couple years. Now "the best" of something is a silly category yes, but I'm not looking for circumlocutions instead of emphasis.
This is a powerful demo. It's very visceral and demolike, yet feels fresh. The true genius here is the stream of consciousness element, which plays a heavy role across the board. The way everything falls in their respective places while watching this to me is akin to how people describe Joyce's Ulysses. I think it's an essential state of mind to enjoy this fully, because on the surface everything looks very haphazard. There is a beauty to all of the movement, cues and shots. The standard "event x happens at beat y" is taken too much for granted. The syncing is done at a much more discreet, sub-conscious level. There is no objective calculatable rhyme or reason to it, but it just feels right when you remove the thought of it from your mind. Similar technique was employed earlier last year in the demo Intrinsic (and in some earlier productions as well), but this comes even closer to perfection.
The visuals are fantastic. There is something to be said about reflective primitives and whatnot, but it all boils down to their usage. Reflextion doesn't feel limited in that sense. You forget that these elements get used (too) often in contemporary productions. How each effect is used and presented is happens the same way the direction overall does; if it feels right, do it. The audio side complementary to the visuals and obviously just as good as the rest of the production, a breath of fresh air.
Like the text in the beginning says, "Approaching planet". This is a view to an another world, a glimpse into it. In a way, the demo is still going on somewhere out there. I forget who said it when they said comparing real life and films, "in reality there is no 'the end' ". I apply the same concept to watching this demo. The world depicted here never ceases, only the window presented by the demo closes. And I think that's all I intended to say.

Awesome visuals and an even better soundtrack.
This is a damn fine demo. It also works really well with LizardKing!

Amazing sync.
cce: Haha, what the hell, how can this work so ridiculously well :D
holy shit :D
After many watchings I must admit this is nearly best demo of 2013 scene produiction, final is great. My thumb above.
this is pretty dopeish!
How could this get past me for a year ?
Excellent tune, nice mixture of codepr0n and visual design with good transitions at just the right length.
Nowadays many productions are reduced to film-trailer lengths, so they pretty much end right after the introduction.

I like it.
Yep awesome. Great style and cool liquid blobby stuff. Music is amazing, really nice tune and well produced.
I don't know why but I just like it so much , every part of it , even though it's not that popular , as it should be .
Forgot to thumb this up
not bad, there was stuff happening all of the time and the music was cool, but didn't feel coherent nor the different elements polished
yes
