great demo and invite, the music is awesome and well synched to, and that scene with the lightning drawing in the clouds thingy is really really cool!
i wanted to thumb it up because of the great music (i <3 dubstep stuff) but hey, the scenes looked rushed, ugly and unpolished here. the approach and ideas were nice. must have worked as hell on the bigscreen, though. :(

Real heavy stuff! Kickass scenes and soundtrack, but colours and backgrounds could have shown a bit more variety.

feels like a fair amount of effort went into this. nevertheless, it didn't really do anything for me. none of the scenes, nor the music, were very convincing. pigger.

Yes I did this. June2010 redistributable, around 500MB. Nothing.
For the light, the lightning and for accidentally inviting me to the development dropbox folder for the whole project.

Lightning is also buggy on my quadro fx card, but I guess there will be some fixing for the final version.
The scene with the cube-thing and the volumetric lights is well worth the thumb alone, really cool.

there's so much more that you could do with the camera work. and also the particle behaviour. ive seen you do better camera work in previous outracks demos. maybe you lacked time (i don-no). good demo otherwise with a massive soundtrack!

thank you magic -- i'll be offering my opinion of the party product. even though i am now officialy terribly sick of this music trend (yes it DOES sound like the excess demo and many of the kind lately and no i am NOT a total idiot when it comes to electronic music :-)) i do appreciate the graphics/scenes, or at least, what they attempt to do. it's just too slow paced and that totally kills it. a shame imo.

dubstep is taking over. :) i think its great for demos, it's helping generate some fresh style.

So, my take (thumb?) on this, based on the party version:
- I like the visuals (in particular, the skybox is pretty nice, as are some of the silver balls/balloons parts), although they do get a bit boring after a while. (Also, I don't like the typography all that much, but I guess it's a matter of taste.)
- Dubstep is not really my cup of tea, but lug00ber and Optimize's execution is as always good.
BUT: I don't really think they go all that well together. Audio and visuals just feel out of pace with each other, which makes this a “well, okay, it's an invite, let's go on with planning for the party” thing for me. :-)

Looks sweet :D As mentioned above, I would also like some more usage of the particles for syncing. I know how good they can look, use it more! ^_^ See you all at TG2011 :D

They are not particles, but balls (touching).
And according to Duckers, they look bad on gpus with poor precision, which unfortunately includes my gf9800GT.

With both final version and party versions, I also got that d3d10.dll error and already have the latest DirectX 9.0c (directx_Jun2010_redist.exe) installed for my old Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine. Does this demo require DirectX 10? :( So no thumb up from me! :P

Pretty good, but this one didn't really draw me in somehow. And the particles looked a bit like they had a really bad SSAO effect that was turned up to 11. Pig.

Nice work, music was pretty darn generic though. Which isn't to diss lug00ber (who I dig a lot) but after the 50th dubstep demo soundtrack it's just a bit "old" and frankly lazy. I almost want doskpop back. (that's almost)

One thing I really like about this demo, is that it feels "big". That is, even though it has relatively few parts and is "only" ~3 minutes long, the build-up and pace kind of makes it feel like it's a long demo with a lot of content. I guess it's because it manages to keep my attention all the way through by displaying new, interesting things all the way...
and for that, my thumb goes straight up
