this was so fuckin' awesome (albeit in the barrage of hectic and humoristic action there were a few slow seconds that felt they didn't belong there)! Also huge props for the camera angles on the tank just before the greetings part, it gave me little tears of joy :-D

I just must say that because of the intensiveness of this project and the incredible tight schedule, there just are lots and lots of stuff missing. Lighting is often too bright or just plain and things are intersecting and there comes no particles out of the ground or not really any kind of effects. Sound or otherwise.
So if your comment is about what's missing or what needs to be fixed in this prod, it's propably so because we just didn't have the time to make of fix it. In every second of the film I could name a couple of things that could be improved, but that's the way this goes. I didn't even want to get a job for this summer because of the time this project needed and still didn't get it anywhere near the glory I would like it to be.
But I'm glad with the end result we accomplished in the time we had.
Btw, I'm planning on releasing a big making-of-field-trip package some day near future. Check out the .nfo.
I'm making the high-quality-version as we speak, but I'm also gonna fix a couple of major things that annoyed me, like the blinking red light at the zoom-scene will be removed - I have no idea why I had to put it there. Maybe my sleeplessness had it's part in the play. And also the zoom-scene's lightness is a bit too bright. And maybe some other things.

AS much as I would've liked to chime in with the "this is the best thing, like, EVAR" crowd - the story or theme just didn't resonate with me in any way.
Then again, It had its moments (when you played with the scale of things, and even the now obligatory infinite zoomer) and the technical execution is so good that it fully deserves a thumb up, so here it comes :)

Well, I guess the authors should say which things are references and which things aren't. Having a 4d julia set as a kindernoiser reference is like having a shopping kart as a farbrausch reference. It can be, but doesn't have to. Reference to mfx's demo is really obvious tho.

Dunno what went wrong with the original video (or maybe something in vlc got fixed?) but I watched it first time round and was left feeling it was probably a bit disappointing underneath the video skips and crappy sound.

Insanely fluent and prolofic for the first minute and a half or so, then becomes a lot more uneven (obviously lower render quality at times) but with obviously some stellar parts. Not my favorite from this stellar team, but there's no way though any body part could point anywhere but up while watching this.
