massive! i love each scene.
The modelling and colors kinda reminded me of the screenshots of Valve's level editor :) Apart from that nothing too special but for a first demo really nice.

Hmm... It feels like a 5-year old demo lacking some more content.
its not that bad- but compared to other entries...and the fact that we are in 2008...
obviously seems unfinished and a little boring, the tower was way cool though, but every group in this compo is getting a thumb up from me, so nerrr :)

Respect for your efforts guys but this demo didn't make it for me. That visuals looked more like quake maps than a demo and bad textures/lightmaps even make it worse. Music was ok.
Well, at least it is easy to understand, and runs on my machine. But, it looks like freshly dug up by archeologist looking for artifacts of the last millenia...
Seriously unfinished and the flyby parts remind me of 1998. I got the "quake"-feeling as well, btw :)
But knowing that you've made such cool intros in the past, and that the time was mostly used for building the engine, I have no doubts that the next one will be a lot better.

yay a demo from the intel compo i can actually run full framerate on my machine! shame that its totally uninspiring. -_- piggie for the realigning tube thingie i guess.

What I don't get is... Did Intel forced you do to a demo? I mean, you said you spent most of the time doing a new demo-system. But you had an intro-system already, didn't you? Why didn't you saved that time and used your intro-system for doing something much better?

agree on the "quake .map viewer" feeling. it's not bad, but it's also going nowhere.

I'm close to thumbing it down, but since it's your first full featured demo, I'll save you - you would have been more safe in my opinion if you hadn't included the "spacebike" :)

i must say i was really diappointed about this prod.

No, they didn't force us. We wanted to do different things than we can do in a 64k, so we started on some new/improved tech... but in the end we just wasted too much time on that. We kind of underestimated the amount of work that is needed for a demo.
A bit dated, expecially in this compo, but it was still nice. :)
It does look nice, but still the time pressure was evident.
Not bad, maybe kasparov mkII. Though I have to admit, it has the best tunnel ever. ;)
I really loved this! Sure it looked a bit dated and could have done with more lighting/shadows, but I found it very immersive and it was nice to see a consistent style and colourscheme throughout.

-1) consistancy
-2) nice and innovative scenes ( not only toruses like some entries in this compo)
-3) nice texture work and lighting ( those who think this demo has bad textures have probably never applied uv in their life).
4) good music
too bad the level was so high. many people would have thumb this up in an other context. I admit that 6 week is really short when you don't work on it full time ( i m a victim as well). If the next one is of the same level and if you take time to polish it then you will kill us all.

Good for a first demo, but simply just too clean-looking and longwinded to climb to the top of the Intel Demo Competition. The music didn't feel very inspired, and the visuals were .. well, a bit dull and "clean". Still, good effort - I wait in anticipation for your next demo guys :)
What gloom said. Also, flyby overload = CANCER. Keep it up, there's plenty of potential here.
i'm with gargaj, preacher and puryx on this one. Then again this could've kicked the crap out of most demos from icons'08.

I am undecided... Maybe it's the context of the competition. From the five contributions Seiryoku definitely made least of its potential. The music is cool and I love inque's style of modeling and lighting. But then of course there are obvious issues with missing shadows (e.g. for the monocycle) and tweaking of scenes. I would love to see a final of this one.
I really learned to hate IDC for it's fixed deadline. I probably would have invested another six months into Seeker but suddenly time was over and the topic gets wasted forever...

I like it. Could use some post process and more polish maybe. but whats there is cool already - the greet part is nice, the animated bits too

Really has a late 90s demo style to it, and some parts are way too static. But apart from that I quite enjoyed it, so thumb up.

The tunnel is just ugly (not to even mention that "spacebike") and lasts way too long. Other parts are a little bit better, but not enough to save this one unfortunately. The music is alright, but it could've used to more punch (Probably could be done just with better mixing). Still worth a piggie.
I liked the interconnecting flipping flaps, and the movement of the rings around the vertical pipe (hope you know what I mean). I've gotten tired of that sort of machine environment in demos, but I see potential in that sort of thing.

Come on guys, if you need to do a tunnel at least do it with style like mfx. Showing the same boring tunnel without anything interesting in it for so long without any interesting camera movement either really destroys the demo, especially if the rest isn't that interesting either and the music does little to compensate.
Nice greets part, but apart of that the demo is too much of a boring flyby for me. Ok music.

Pretty cool, but it lacks some direction and effects. Liked the tune! Especially the bass(!) in the beginning. Should have kept going, got a bit too much high freq. after that.

While i completely loved the opening, I felt quite bored in the tunnel with the motorbike. Like Pixtur, I'd love to see a final of this. Or rather, their upcoming Evoke intro/demo/whatever-it-is-that-you-plan. You were up to a tough competition here, admittedly.

This would been a killer if it was released in 1998, now it is just very boring to watch and I do not like the music either. Sorry.

@eye/TRBS, i think you mean the Field of View of the 'bike' scene? Aspect ratio seems to be fine here.
