For me, one of those rare esc-before-exit demos.
It's ugly as fuck, but I just can't thumb down gabber. And maybe the harsh visuals has gabber-attitude afterall :)

uhm... please don't take it too serious - I definitely made this thing as a "crappy, sick fun-entry" and not to win a compo. I had only three days, starting from scratch - hardly enough time to create anything better. Thus, "it rather looked like some fast compo entry." - indeed, it is ;)
I was actually surprised of the positive resonance it created (made some people laugh at the compo) - but I personally would not vote for anything that's most advanced technique ist linear interpolation ;)
To complete the list of technical features: motion was recorded using a joystick (mapping axes to paths...). But beside using sdl for image blitting and fmod for playing music, there isn't much more.
Cool (and simple) way of recording/syncing animation, anyway *recommendingittootherdemomakers*.
To complete my conclusion:
Feel free to like it, or to dislike it - it's a pure question of personal taste and one's idea of "what a demo should be like / what make's a demo a good demo".

Wonderful kind of "evil" atmosphere that I appreciate as a black metal fan, as well as a DIY lofi atmosphere I appreciate as a punk rock fan. Don't know anything about gabber, though, but this is good, really good.

btw: all the animation was captured directly from a microsoft sidewinder 3d pro joystick (timestamped, linear interpolation). just in case you didn't know. because i was as lazy back then as i am now.
