Have to admit I was disappointed with this one. Many of the ingredients are good, but as a whole it's a bit of a mess.
Really liked it, that unmistakably Haujobb stuff and platform autothumb - but I would thumb this on any platform :) should have won IMHO

Well, between that 1080p 60 fps emulator capture shown in the compo / youtube and what you get on the real device at 640x480 and much lower FPS (sometimes feels sub-30 fps) is a big difference mind you..
Just checked it on the real thing with VGA output on an LCD.
Still happy to have a new DC demo in 2026 of course .)

Ok, after carefully rewatching the capture and comparing on the real device the framerate differences probably aren't as dramatic as I wrote before.
Probably mainly in parts where a lot of alpha/transparency fillrate is burned, but that's to be expected :)

New Dreamcast stuff is always great and it being done by a group that is known for targetting other platforms, even better. Having said that, the visuals inspire for more. I love the effects, and the 3D parts, but it isn't that coherent. I feel there was an effort to do an Amiga AGA 3D style demo here, but the pacing felt off.
Nevertheless it still gets a thumbs up because the Dreamcast has so much more to give. There is a lot of untapped potential here1
