- demo MS-Dos/gus Cack 2 by The Dennis Courtney 5
- okay, it *kinda* works in dosbox. with sound it crashes after the dc5dude/starzoom (i'm amazed it got *that* far), without sound it actually runs all the way. some bugs, but most are intentional. :)

- 64k MS-Dos/gus GUNremix by The Dennis Courtney 5
- bwahaha, the thing runs in dosbox, thumbs up just for that. the "bullet" was supposed to be more elaborate, but actually it's kinda cute the way it is. if i made it bigger it could've been a precursor to the mooninite's "quad laser". :D

- demo Amiga AGA Atari Falcon 030 Silkcut by The Black Lotus [web]
- i'll be damned.. optimus is right. :)
i was wondering why the heck it ran great on my xp1900, but crashed midway through on my a64 3200. i tried changing/crippling all kinds of winuae settings, to no avail. finally, i dropped my cpu speed down to 1GHz in the BIOS, and voila, no more crash. Disabling JIT or taking emulation speed off "fastest possible" *might* also work, but either will make it so slow it will no longer be enjoyable. - isokadded on the 2004-11-27 02:05:09
- demo Commodore 64 Unsound Minds - Follow the Sign III by Byterapers [web]
- The absolute climax of C64 demos.. IMHO. :) Parts flow together seamlessly.. surely it must be loading *something* in there!

- intro Amiga OCS/ECS Spellcheck by Andromeda [web]
- omg, this is getting worse than livejournal..
FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO.
(and i'm actually going to discuss the intro - simple glenz and scrollers, catchy little soundtrack, so it doesn't stand out but it's something to let run for a while) - isokadded on the 2004-11-23 20:19:23
- 64k MS-Dos/gus sea robot of love by orange
- Workin' in DOSBox 0.63.. and yeah, you need -m, not -o.

- demo MS-Dos Wild 8088 Corruption by Hornet [web]
- just upgraded to an athlon64, and it no longer runs natively.. sniff.. now i have to use dosbox.. hehe. just set the gfx mode in your .conf to cga and like fox said, answer yes to the real cga. ("thanks for using a real 8088!" ;)

- demo Linux Windows obsoleet by Unreal Voodoo [web]
- i honestly want to give this one a thumb down.. but i keep looking at the screenshot and that blue glow, and i can't. :)
yes, this was definitely meant to pander to the audience to get votes.. but c'mon, like it hasn't happened a hundred times before. i knew where they were going, but like many other demos, the story was vague and less emotional than it could've been. i won't nitpick at what "effects" and "code" were done on what computers, that's for the geeks to do. :) but yeah, the nostalgia thing is only going to work for so long... - isokadded on the 2004-11-11 01:23:41
- demo Windows Planet Risk by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- if not the best music, graphics, or design, it was definitely the most visually impressive and entertaining demo from assembly. at least as good as dreamchild, a feat in itself. well done.
