Didn't know OPL can sound like this.

Interesting sound technology. Cool shell.
A DOS-stuff that I would have liked to see in my youth :)

=)
very nice tunes, always glad to see some love for the more obscure/bespoke sound hardware out there
awesome!!
Interesting niche-project that looks and (more importantly) sounds good! Might be that the fact it's coming outside demoscene the music sounds more interesting to me (different influences). Might be the sound chip too.
Looks cool.
great
banger tunes. awesome msx disk:)
Cool stuff, great to see (hear?) some more alternative sound cards getting some much deserved love!
ESS TOP
Koolness!
Excellent presentation and great tunes.
I'm not familiar with the ESS but the sound is amazing for just FM.

Thank you for this compilation, and for letting us know of the recent developments in ESFM reversing. Eagerly awaiting the next one! And if possible give OPL3 some love too! :D

Pretty nice looking musicdisk, smooth screen!
AntDude: You can find the original module files in Furnace Tracker's example song collection (demos/esfm).
Excellent music-disk!
Now there's a good looking musicdisk!
Very nice interface!
Nice one!!
hello friends, just letting you know that the latest dev build of DOSBox Staging also supports the ESS, so you can enjoy this super cool production which i very much approve of! i'm listening to the tracks in Staging as i'm writing this :D
i ported the code over from DOSBox-X a few months ago; you simply just need to set "sbtype = ess" for ESS support.
oh, and you can also use "cputype = pentium_mmx" as we've recently added MMX emulation as well :) enjoy!

quite nice
Holy shit this is so cool!! nice stuff :3
just tried with yamaha opl3 equipped toshiba libretto, audio glitches. I wonder - how compatible is ESFM ? is it possibble to run it on 'regular' opl3?
thanks for thorough explanation. sidenote: it doesn't crash on opl3 ;]
Liked it, brings back memories.

if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.
instead, click here !
of course running this on real PC could be a bit troublesome since you need a ESS audio card (still easier to find than GUS :D),but in case of trouble, latest DOSBox-X supports ESFM emulation :)
