lol
poor hedgehog. next time try better :)
thank you for annoying sour old men
Cool story bro, "AI" thumb
Noisy audio with female vocals, blended together from 1000000 voices, bad stirling ripoff with annoying sound design and progression, elevator music, ... Underage pixel art anime girls smoking.
A manifesto relying on the actual artistic and impressive work of other sceners to justify the immensely lame mechanism of this prod.
...
Thanks for wasting my time :(

Low effort shit with a shitty low effort „message“. You don’t even deserve the attention tbh but this is such a dumb example of stupidity that I have to thumb it down.
I'm neither here for the production nor the consumption of bad ripoffs. If you need inspiration on what the concept of quality scene productions is, I recommend the

lol, your AI is sooo previous gen

Sorry, but the demoscene is literally all about "bad ripoff".
It looks like you and I exist in different demoscenes. In the one in which I have been present for 30 years, rips have always been considered bad practice.
&bitl: Not always. Sampling popular music for tracker-instruments was okay. (for example the drums from „Cream Of The Earth“ or „Rise Up“)

rip off a sample and creating an original composition, or redrawing a picture by hand (having limitations in colors and resolution) - this requires considerable skill and effort.
Nevertheless, the most original author's prods have always become the pearls of the demoscene. The more the musician made samples on his own, the more the artist developed his own inimitable style, the more the coder came up with his own interesting effects - the more their products were appreciated.
.
I think your rebellion here misses the point:
it's not "the end" because what a huge part of the scene judges is not the result but the effort and the applied craft. what we do is respecting each other for this kind of undertaking. that we apply a huge amount of time and power to get attention and admiration and that those who admire us understand what it costed us to make this production.
if then, in the end, the created production is nice to consume and worthwhile, it is of course an additional plus. but in the end it's about the way we went to come to this point. replacing parts of this sometimes very stoney way, is considered as lazy, indirectly ripping off others and all these other things you read in our AI thread here.
about the result itself - even without using AIs I would consider this prod as a quite lame production.

Unfortunately, this does not run on my machine and there is no video capture, so I cannot thumb it down. Yet.
neoman nails the argument perfectly. This argument means that wherever this prod falls on the "sincerity <-> provocation" spectrum, it (and its nfo) are equally stupid.

why "stylish animated demos" often win
How often does this happen? Do you have any examples?
As for production itself it looks like ass and sounds like a random collection of meh. :-/
But respect for doing what you want to do and stirring the pot.

If effort is the main thing, then why "stylish animated demos" often win

Just look at the winners of recent years in Amiga, C64, ZX and other retro PC on big parties
The first quote implies that the "stylish animated demos" don't require much effort. I'd still be interested in examples of those amiga, c64 and zx low-effort animated compo winners

Of cause there are ripoffs in the scene, and cases were »inspiration« was a little bit overdone. But to say the scene is »all about bad ripoff« is greatly exaggerated IMHO.
pffft
this absolutely sucks. nice trolling but "this is my artistic vision" revealed you pretty much. I wouldn't be surprised if the about section was written by AI as well
if you really wanna prove that AI is superior to humans, how about competing with a real demoscene musician?
*yawns*
i am not intelligent enough to appreciate this, im just a mere mortal.
sorry
sorry
You mention "crisis of viewers".
This kind of crap is exactly what brings this crisis about. Who wants to dig through a shitload of crap like this (oh it's coming) to get to the good stuff? You, my friend, and people "reasoning" like you will put an end to the demoscene.

you can experiment with technology all you like, but then you released it at a party, so people are going to comment on it. you have been judged. there's no point arguing. don't want "endless discussions"? stop it, then.

if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.

If non-coders were using Notch and Unity to make demos full of "check out these 100000 gouraud shaded cubes!!!", then that would be shit. But they're not. They're using them as a tool for getting original creative ideas out of their heads and onto the screen.
If you're a non-artist with a story or message you want to tell, then I can see the attraction of using AI as a tool to present that vision. But if the only message you have is "here is some music that I didn't make", what's the point?
