Has that straight-to-aminet kind of vibe, but still good stuff

Excellent visuals but the music is way too soft for the "mean" visuals, a proper industrial track would have been much better IMHO. Still, enjoyable demo is enjoyable! :)
indeed, good stuff!
Great music, great visuals, great demo. Pure MAKT!
great demo
Lucy 500 - ace! Compact package with a great track in tight sync. Perspective heads were the highlight for me, again (like in Lucy). You managed to push your signature low bitplane style quite a bit further with this.
Nice breakbeat MAKT!
Argh.. dropbox is blocked in China.. Can't download
hardcore :D
This is amazing stuff. Stunning glitchy visuals and cool synchro. "Esocentrica" for Amiga 500? Why not ;)

I've uploaded the demo and changed the download link to my untergrund ftp. Which is hopefully not blocked in China. :)
I liked the skull part the most.
It's cool but I've seen Slummy pull this exact genre first (for me, that is) at TRSAC 2001 and swapping the core effect every 5 years aside it doesn't really change much. It was cool and slick, but I felt like I was watching a rerun of something.
very great show! made me happy watching on the live stream <3
Cool zoomer thing in the beginning! Even if covered up quite heavily.. Stuff getting copied and offset around?
The dot/cluster/impostor/3d effects looked really ace! Particularly the.. was it an arm... and the final skull came out really good. Also thought I noticed Ebbe in there? :D
The infinite cubes also look great. I especially got surprised when the camera rotated on z as I figured they were purely 'infinite bobs' based.
Also great DnB track as usual by Lugoober!

The track does the heavy lifting, the visuals just revert to monochromatic strobing to hide in.
"signature low bitplane style" is the positive way to see this, "swapping the core effect every 5 years aside it doesn't really change much" the more negative way. While I was entertained (nice track!), my perception is slowly shifting from the first to the second interpretation...
Weak thumb up.
Weak thumb up.
Good effects. Very enjoyable.
of course this rules!
huge
Yes!
Nice codework, visually appealing. Little more variation and it would be even better :D
Pretty much what kylearan said
Awesome track. Awesome visuals! And impressive stuff. Whats not to like?
Var det kvisten? :D

AHYEP
F*ck yeah!
THE MOST asskickin' I've seen in years!
There is no room for discussion or negative feedback - that would be trolling and shameful. The music, the sync + that brutal presentation of kickass effects pumped out in a perverse - yet glamorous way! A signature elegance like no other, running the A500 non-accelerated.... DAMN!
GIVE US MORE! NOW!

Great stuff. Incredible soundtrack. Wicked visuals.
Good newskool stuff for our oldskool computers.
Thumb up for another A500 prod, but I could quickly see the entire demo was in 1 bitplane even without reading these comments first, so, I guess that's the new way to get speed out of an A500? That said, the better effects were at the end so I'm glad I watched it all the way through. Nice work.
<3 Amiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Neat filth.
One of those demos when you realize immediately that they're super awesome, but spend the entire duration trying to get into the mood. Did not hit me, but thumbs up for the execution.

Apparently your eyes aren't that good. :)
Spaceballs dominate once more.
Respect.
particles on Amiga 500, my ass!!!!
Reminds me a bit of »You are Lucy« which is a good thing.
Solid thumb, has the usual Spaceballs vibe which is always worth watching. Please don't get me wrong here, but how about something new / different now?
cool
very different
music
Have been really long dark nights up there in Norge, eh?
...son of a bitch wot a scorcher
...son of a bitch wot a scorcher
gut gemakt!
The usual Spaceballs style, but luckily for me I like it!
Yeah, a total blast for me. I dig every single bit of it.
Interesting to see just how different styles all can work with the good old A500. Very different style from most other demos in the compo, but I like them all!
going HAM
Numero uno. Face and skull were my favorites.
I liked it, voice clip was a little out of place, but overall enough for a thumb. :)
ugly af + black background.
AWSUM!
It works well!
Rulez, unusual for the A500, but not my cup of tea. I hate skulls.
Looking good!
Undeniably Spaceballs.
While the style is indeed starting to get repetitive, I still really enjoyed the glitchy visuals and the solid music.
im a sucker for A500 demos, but this demo with noise effects and bad music is just not my thing
I loved you when you did DATASKULL, now I love you even more...
...and the thumb!
happy to see this, dithering & nice feedbacks! another demo with semi-end in the middle :)
way too good for a500! :)
rules!!! and kimi kandler & rock is a 2 malfunctionsuckerz
Not very fond of this style. And the rendering is too messed up to really appreciate the code behind it.
Some nice effects here. Not a big fan of the music though.
still works for me! in fact one of the best from slummy, recently at least. can't pick a fault, except the palettes are a bit garish maybe.
magic!
but it could be better without all those pixel logos and oldschool pictures...
wait...

Industrial Amiga500 Strength! Kicked ass AF at the party.
And this was only 65% done? Hope to see the remaining 35 on an A500 near the tomb (kinda rhymes with YOU....you know the chaina place YOU?)

Thats a reason to login once in a couple of years. Rulz!
Looks so different to other OCS releases. The noisy artifact rendering look works pretty well.

straight-to-aminet
Hahaha!! how did I miss that on the first read!
You houuuuuu !!!
Is gud.
Absolutely great, modern demo for Amiga 500!!
phat effect and music, nice "hatespeech" xD
Really cool
Yep.
Gargaj, the hiding is not to cover any rendering errors as on PC (assuming that's where you're coming from). Any glitches would be part of the render; WYSIWYG.
What to say? Datalump still works as for all previous releases, 1 bitplane makes it last longer while fitting in RAM. I compare to Algorithm, i.e. you should keep doing what you like best & no use me making reasons. And this time it kinda works I think :)

So so.
And here's the write-up about the code: https://codingwithballs.wordpress.com/2017/02/19/makt/
Loady & Protte: Sure is! He has a very distortable face so we used it again. :)

Really nice tech, and music.
Amiga OCS demoscene landmark.
Cool demo and the write-up was a nice read aswell.
I dig this. True advancement, in a way! Also, double thumb-up for the nice write-up again
Fuck. This is HUGE.
dope stuff
f***ing amazing demo! all the favourite spaceball's aga effects at one place, in a500 release! what could one possible want more?!? my jaw was visibly dropped when i saw this on the party, in a first row, sitting on the floor, by pure accident, next to the slummy. i was literally speechless at that point.
ah yes, and the writeup was absolutely amazing, though i must admit that it did spoil some of the "magic" for me. ;))

I quite like it!
It showed it to Lord Helmet it wasn't his kind of music ;)
But i like it!
But i like it!
nice visuals...
Really cool video/rendering system and synch.
Spaceballs always on the top ! Great demo!!!
Really like this one, fantastic OCS/ECS demo! :)
Creative blitter use and I like the soundtrack.
we are struggling to run our a500, when we run it, it just flashes and it's dead, any ideas how can we get it to run?
Great OCS/ECS Demo!
yeah
Really cool demo, and awesome tech!
Thanks for rekindling my interest in the demoscene! :)
not bad
First time I saw it live on the stream I had a bit mixed feelings about it. Read some of the tech writeup and gave it a second chance, and finally a thumb.
I was finally able to watch it on my A1200... great demo and quite a technical tour de force. Great to still get A500 demos with effects that feel fresh.
Style.
Cool!
Stylish and fucking great. And like Lucy very great track. Amiga 500 rockz
I love that Slummy keeps making these noisy looking eye strainers as it means I don't have to. Fantastic as always! :-)
Nice and cool
this is so good
I hardly find this demo enjoyable. Repeatable effect that is indeed good but this demo lacks variety.
Yes!
One love!
too newskoolish but good
A bit of a one-trick-pony but executed so nicely it definitively deserves a thumb. Rocking music on the top.
Damn! Damn!
this is goddamn cool
Missed thumb! Good to see that some people make interesting stuff on A500 and not endless boring text scrollers.
What emoon said!! Very interesting and also insane what you pull off on A500... that zoomer for example!!
In my mind clearly a long overdue new direction for OCS in the 21st century.

That was some ass kicking demo, y'all smashed it
Saw this on the Gubbdata demo show this weekend. The effects are both provokingly ugly and interesting. Reminiscent of 242, only modern.
late thumb is late
ohmy
The first time I watched it I thought :"Huh, that is weird." I rewatched
it a couple of times during the last months and once more after I had
read the tech notes (@Slummy: thanks for that), and it is awesome.
The effects and the music reinforce each other and I dare to say it is
digital art. But I still cannot believe that the rotating skull is based on
only 4 images. Wizardry :-)

still magic
rude awakening
different!
From another universe of demomaking. The mastery here is relentless exploitation of idea, which renders even the most stunning of technicalities to just a means to an end.
A great production. New-school aesthetics and effects on an old-school computer.
Brilliant! Good tech on this!
Nice tricks and awesome presentation. The illusion of depth is really nicely done; in particular the guys nose :)
very good
This is the good stuff.
