Great intro, music and atmosphere!

Awesome light-effects. Great to see something new from you. :)
That's a 64k? Simply unbelievable
The first half was absolutely breathtaking, with great visuals and direction and a lot of "wow" moments for me. The second half unfortunately couldn't live up to the first half IMHO. One thing in particular that bothered me was that from some point on, the lack of (illusion of) water in the visuals made immersion very hard for me (no pun intended).
Still, a great 64k nonetheless!

some nice content, but then i also have to second kylearan..
This was very nice, but as noted by Kyleran, I also noticed the "underwater effect" seemed to disappear in later part of the demo. Might have been nice to keep it, but perhaps it interfered with the ability to readily see the effects of those parts, as they did look pretty clean.
Great until the temple-part.
meh
What Kylearan said.
this is excellent
Atlantis found finally!
What Kylearan said. (exactly)
The first part with submarine lights was AWESOME. The part after, not so much. Still worth a thumb.
Tons of content and nice rendering!
Nice flow. :)
Cousteau...
That under water trip ruled :D
Fantastic atmosphere and underwater scenes and the music gave me goosebumps!
"Everyone else goes to space, we'll go into the deep!" :) Everything from after the submarine/pod got deep into the water and until the red light show started was fantastic. Really nice ambiance, looked great. But after that, it quickly went into "3DFX DEMO"-country, unfortunately :/
very nice idea, liked the underwater trip and greek temple
It's just the last scene with the armies that ruins it . Otherwise , very nice .
Some really awesome scenery in the beginning, but you left me with something that looked really rushed in the end or something you gave up finishing?!
beginning and last underwater scenes were great. the flashes scene with the music gave me goosebumps.
why that ending?
why that ending?
First part was awesome. The last part wasn't so cool either, but all in all it rulez :)
ok but not very underwaterish to me
This intro had so much potential. As Kylearan and gloom said, first scenes were just "wow". Could easily be one of the best if not...this unrealistic ending with plastic soldiers.
But I think I get it, you probably run out of time to polish all scenes - that is why it came as a mixed bag. I usually do the same mistake. I guess if you would actually just remove some scenes it would be still a very solid 64k and actually much better as a whole. Great job nonetheless !

what tomkh said.
really impressive and worth a big, fat, solid thumb nevertheless :)

Nice
Very impressive demo, some great visuals during the submarine shots (reminds me of 3D mark 11).
I especially liked the music throughout the whole demo, very pleasant to listen to.
Great performance too! I had a steady 72FPS through most of the demo, and even 144FPS in some scenes (at 1080p with a GTX970).
Unfortunately the part after the columns start glowing red doesn't hold so well anymore, it's not as impressive graphically in both technical and aesthetic sense. IMO these shots would work better if they weren't so wide angle and instead were much tighter, and had some DOF. That would hide some imperfections while being aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Still a very solid demo worthy of a thumb up !

The early underwater scenes were so very pretty. Are the volumetric lighting effects done with raymarching? They are so smooth and noise-free.
absolutely beautiful.
Great intro!
Not sure if the CNS logo on the floor of the temple was intentional or not, but we're flattered. :)

A ton of content. Beautiful one. Drunken me thought the whole way through it was a lego prod because of the aesthetic of the wee sub :D Loooved the glowy stuffs in the trench! Ossum.

It was - just like the (more subtle) references to Still and Mercury :)
<3
some scenes looked really good, but others felt unpolished. rushed prod maybe?!
Very enjoyable to watch!
The "headlight flares/streaks" were maybe a bit too exaggerated. As the trident and columns light up at 2:18, maybe the whole scene should have looked brighter.

terror from the deep BANZAIIII <333
starts off strong but then the procedural nature of the visuals kinda show too much through.
It's a shame that this intro had to become a textbook example of how you can break a prod in half by suddenly trying to show too much, because the first half is a masterful build.
very good and fitting tune
Mixed bag of goodies, overall good.
I also liked the cns logo, and the Gaia Machina feel. Send the army on a rampage in the final! :)
Looks and sounds nice, specially the first half but the second half wasn't too bad either. :)
Going to postpone the thumb until after the final. Couldn't shake off the "something is wrong/missing here" feeling, which was a shame because I came to expect Ctrl-Alt-Test prods to be very accomplished. Best of luck, guys. :)
Great!
Beautiful! One of my favourites of the compo!
Great underwater mood!
nice idea to build in group logos :D the ending was not my cup of tea but i'm a sucker for underwater stuff that looks / feels good. one of my favourites from the compo.
I love this! Wonderful work, guys!
Awesome, great mood and soundtrack. The last 10 seconds kind of kill it though.
First part was kind of wow! but the second half was weaker. Anyway it's still an impressive work for a 64k
First part was great with so much mystery. But then you gave the key, don't make me understand.
Waiting for a final. The second half really killed the Immersion for me...
I think the biggest problem with the ending is that there actually isn't any proper lighting in the scenes. At all. The shots in the beginning were beautifully lit and framed, and then suddenly, boom, back to the early 2000s it is. Also, the music should have reflected the change in scenery more.
Apart from that I really like the mood and the soundtrack.

Nice! An interesting story for a 64k, with lots of elements, I liked the temple scene.
really nice!
pads sound great :)
ALLEZ LA !!!! VOUS ENVOYEZ DU PÂTÉ !!!! TROP FAN DE VOUS !!!!!! CTRL-ALT-TEST GREATLY UNDERESTIMATED !!!!!
nice and awesome sound
fist part was reaching for #1... but then it went coder colors
Great final :)
The music reminds me of Time by Hans Zimmer, the ending tune from Inception. Both have the same gorgeous chord sequence!

The party version felt super uneven. The final fixes all its problems to a satisfying degree. I still like the first half a lot more though. Those cold distant chords and pads are still so very haunting, and I love the underwater lighting. The big picture is still slightly off—again especially towards the end, like camera angles and movement—but it also has a lot of nice little details like the metope on the temple.
you went undersea with a bus?
Very Nice!
The final version is AWESOME!
that final ver made me thumb
Thumbs up on final
Nice story and lots of nice visuals in here - glad you made a final! I'm with noby in that the second half doesn't feel half as polished as the first, and the geometry in the end feels rushed. Still a solid prod and well told.
It would have been an excellent demo already, but a 64k ?...
Awesome :)
Awesome :)
Huge props for doing a final, and the final is awesome!
forgotten thumb
Nice! It almost ran perfectly on my decade old PC. I saw black bars and parts.
And I'd never thumbed it! Dang!
Just saw the final for the first time, and boy howdy, that's a day and night difference! Great intro!

great final + what noby said about it.
nicely done
Nice one, sweet mood.
belated thumb
A lot of great content in this 64k : textures, shading techniques, 3d models.
The direction is near from perfection, classic Ctrl-Alt-Test quality!
The music fit perfectly also.
I doesn't remember the party version, but the final one is awesome!

Cool 64k, with some egyptian and underwater themes
Great underwater stuff, with wonderfully fitting music.
.
yep!
Obviously this deserves a very big thumb.
Now that I've watched Le Monde sans soleil I can see where this is coming from!
cool trip
