i'm a huge fan of this intro. the atmosphere is so great.. definitely an intro to watch on a bigscreen. respect. (i'vent tested it on my pc)

Cubes up the wazoo, a city of them basically. And some "sunlight" adds a nice atmosphere to it. But I guess you'll need a fast PC (it was a little slow on the MS compo machine).

atmospheric indeed. and much of that is thanks to a-move's brilliant music.
i just wish the intro wasn't so slow. it doesn't need to be. we're talking flat shaded cubes...

The sun shining through all those flat-shaded buildings was quite neat in some respects. But overall I found the demo boring. It didn't really seem to do anything or go anywhere.

good idea, good execution. All those orange buildings bring the vga to its knees, but the result is well worth it. The music rulez. :-)

The awesome music sets a very nice mood. Only pluses. Nice sun effect too. Truly great, I think this intro is underated :( It deserves more then a measly 5%.

This was the best 64k at mekka 2001, and also is one of the very few 4ks i still keep on my hd and watch over and over again. perfect.

two things: i dislike the break with the greetings in the middle. and the planes floating upwards to the sky at the end don't need a texture imho. otherwise great sunlight effect, and a-move's music is superb anyway.

Slow as fuck, but the flare rules big time and the music is quite chilling. It also gets quite boring after a while, but it's good if you are stoned.

silky smooth on my poor old pIII/gf3 box, and precalcs roughly at 15-20 seconds too - dunno why you guys complain so much about this thing being sluggish.
one of my personal favorites indeed. great music, great city, great sunlight.

as for the intro, without the music this intro would probably end up quite a bit more monotonous than it already is.

however, the general ambiance is warm and cuddly, and the whole thing fits perfectly with the music.
might've been cooler with some better cammovement and randomly inserted synching

Excellent and unusual music, and on a fast machine not only is it smooth, but I can see the last part of the flyby sequences. I wish they'd removed the popping excuses-for-drums from the soundtrack, but other than that it's amazing. I've watched it at least thirty times since I first downloaded it in 2001, and it's still worth seeing again.

I didn't like it so much back in the days, but it was really nice to re-watch now. Nice flow and direction, awesome music. This intro-style has more or less disappeared these days, I blame ray-marching.

great soundtrack - really love it. The demo itself is running with quite lowfps, even on fast machines that are 10years older than the demo :|

Still works, but modern GPUs are just too darned fast for it to handle, so it stutters. I found that setting Vsync to Adaptive half-rate in NVidia Control Panel helps, but it's not perfect, so if possible you'll want to limit your GPU to 20-24 Hz. :)
