Awesome! The visual structure of Part 2, 4, and 6(?) look too generic raymarchy for my taste, but apart from that the visuals are really gorgeous. Nice transition, and I also like the music a lot!
Great. Love the burning coke ribbon. Put some overlays on it and you basically have a full demo.

Some really good looking scenes, especially the glowing-twist-bar thing seen in the screenshot looked absolutely ace, perfect degree of DOF etc.
the scene in the screenshot looks awesome, i just wish the music would have progressed a little more...

I'm a but torn on this. While the engineering in the music is flawless and the tune is rad, the visuals feel very disconnected and I found the transition effect to be too long and very disorienting. The amount of DOF was really nice but the effect itself felt a bit cheap and I got the feeling the camera didn't really know what to focus on. Not to mention the intro runs pretty slow on my ~1.5yo laptops, but then again, only conspiracy intros that still draw polygons do run smooth these days :)
Don't get me wrong, this is cearly fantastic work. Just needs a bit more polish and finesse. That's the level you're at now :)

I'll be damned, Virgill ain't fucking around. Lots of content and very respectable rendering quality for 4k. Even has depth of field, and looks pretty good too despite being just gaussian as far as I can tell. And yeah the performance was... not exactly great, but it was fun having it draw the frames in sync with the music (that stab instrument) :)

The transition effect started to look gimmicky after the umpteenth repetition, but that's really my only complaint. The scenes looked great and the music was awesome. Top notch work.

Just great, goes without saying. The liquid twister was probably the best looking single effect I've seen this year.
The flute does it for me. The visuals look nice and all (the scene in the screenshot especially), but I must say I'm really tired of the same-looking intros now, after a decade of indistinguishable-looking things. Clear thumb, don't get me wrong, I just feel that we've kinda seen "generic use" of this technique enough now - we get it - enough. Now please try to do some interesting storytelling or cinematography on top to make things stand out. Also, the blinds-transition got very old, very fast.

That is an impressive amount of content in a such a small package. Lots of effort and it shows. Nice transitions, cool soundtrack, nice synth and amazing textures.
Bacon ftw \o/ awesomeish stuff and probably the bestestestest 4K this year. No shame to "lose" against.
I think I managed to tell you on every possible platform, but I'll take yet a shot at it: That overblown flute is INSANE for a 4k synth. Clearly, this proves why all coders should learn about music and why all musicians should learn to code. I do know some of the stuff going on for the physical modelling, but being able to pull it off in the stack based design in 4klang is downright impressive. Also, to the people claiming this and tbat effect got boring after a couple of times: It was great the first time, right? Breaking the pattern by leaving it out would add more bytes. So I completely understand the reason for transitions, camera shake (which was perfectly administered - not too violent, not too subtle) to appear with tbe regularity they did. I have little knowledge of the tech stuff for the visuals, so from a purely visual perspective, everything looked really nice. Great choice of colors for the blue light and the twister, that to me definitely was caramel in the making! Massive effort on this one, Virgill.
Mighty impressive 4k, Virgill. Probably raised the bar once more with this. The music, while basic in nature, is still very pleasant on the ears. Thumb up! :)

Awesome productions. I love the soundtrack! The visuals are nice too, although a little incoherent (in design and coloring). But technically really impressive. And cool diagonal cuts for the transitions :)

Now I know what Pixtur was trying to replicate on his stream the other night. ;P Very awesome 4K. Music was fantastic.
The visuals look nice and all but... honestly I had trouble looking at them because the whole time I was too busy paying attention to how good the soundtrack is. I don't remember ever hearing this level of quality in a 4k before.
Back to visuals, I agree with some of ferris' criticism. The visuals are very good but not great, and they lack a direction to tie the whole thing together and sell it.

I really wonder how you got them many parts with that much postproc into the 4k-limit...but i guess it´s as simple as you by now having realized your soundtracks are way too big for 4k and so you just made it smaller, a lot smaller! ;) (I had hard times back when we made intros together with your soundtracks being 50% bigger than my own repetitive stuff i had used before, haha!)

I'm a sucker for these 4ks that seem to somehow have space to play with screen space effects and transitions, so I would have thumbed this up even if it wasn't awesome.

Why U code as good as your music skills? Great 4k. Actually the music was a bit weaker in this release, but still hard to say anything negative about this awesome intro. So, go on, this one was sehr gut! I think this one is my favorite 4k so far this year.

The sound in this one is above the rest. That flute was totally mad! Actually there is very little about the sound to reveal it is a 4k. Perhaps only the notes that go 'bip bip bip bip bip' sound a bit 4Kish because of the structure (I imagine that equally spaced trigger pattern compresses nicely). Really outstanding stuff!
Visuals are also really good looking and fit the music I think. The fire twister is the highlight. Only snag was that the transition effect feels a bit too 60-70s styled compared to the visuals. Maybe fade to black and up from black in movie trailer style would have been more epic.

I don't like the visuals as much as some others here, since it's mostly "only" high-quality/shiny versions of things we've seen before. The direction together with the music made it for me, but if that rendering and postprocessing would be applied to some more interesting geometry... now that would be something.
