Panda! What more do we need? Cheers Guys! :)

What a disappointment! After downloading over 100mb for a PC demo, I expected more.
Sorry, but this is really boring and empty.
Nice sync and looked rather polished. :)
Fallout: The Demo
Not sure if this was intended to be a parody of generic lethally boring diarrhea-textured flybys? If so, outstanding work.
I can't thumb it down due to the assets, but this is barely a demo. Extremely disappointed. :(
what break said
Weak thumb up.
those guys rules us all
It sure looks like a misplaced contribution for an 3D animation contest.
how comes it's not compatible with my 10 years old OS !?16
...seriously, any video?
...seriously, any video?
And again this prod furthers my impression that Panda Cube is a reincarnation of Smash Designs: Massive 3d fly-bys, not much taste or originality, cheesy tunes, always in the top 3.
it's definitly the demo with the most quality looking at models and textures.
however, music is not fitting and from what i could see on the stream the syncs were waaaaay off.

Not my bier.
katsomatta paska
promising intro, but machines rhythmically working to uninspired music isn't what a 2012 compo winner should be about anymore.. at least not when presented in a way like it has been seen countless times before.
It's sad that this kind of prod wins 1st place of the PC-Demo compo of europe's largest demoscene-only party. That said, AMIGAAAAA!
I like it. Maybe not a technically highlight, but anyway a solid entertaining demo. Great.
Your worst one yet. Mild piggy for the graphics work but you should put them to better use.
Piggy.
And seriously, 100Mb?
And seriously, 100Mb?
Why so much hatred?
This looked good, even though some drawbacks (indus visuals don't quite fit to trance, and glowing things moving around are expected to somehow affect the lighting).
The opening was very nice, and the camera switching was clever.

Was missing life.... Something went wrong with the voting.. This still deserved top 3 but what the hell happened to distorted memories by jolt... That smashed the opening pc demo compo in half.. Now that had life...
For all the sceners, I'll speak for all french sceners and so would like to apologize for what the Daft Punk made to music.
nice 3d modelling, solid demo.
Just another flyby.
Fab!!
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
nice textures, but that's about it. : (
@knl: no, you certainly won't speak for people who didn't give you consent to do so.
Fantastic artwork and engine. Thumbs for that alone. Only problem is that the demo lacks a "soul".
nice flyby, but the pixel font looks awful in greets part.
boring
good prod, nothing more nothing less.
I enjoyed it
I enjoyed it
well. first of it all, this prod has serious craftsmanship involved. the texture and model quality is solid and professional. same goes for the code, i think you guys know exactly what you do. i also really liked the intro with the cassette, that was a good start.
but: guys. industry building fly by? is this pre millenium? i mean that's so boring and unimaginative. and that's why i am thumbing down this prod. it totally lacks effects (despite pre-baked destruction), imagination, progress and finally: there is no soul.
and where do we end up? cliche scenes, cheesy sync(!!) and a prod without anything memorable.
i know this comment is pretty harsh. but pls take it as criticism that asks (no- begs!) for a prod with proper effects and style. i'm sure you guys would blow our mind. the tools are there, but please use them properly.
otherwise you will end up like tomaes said.

Good looking but boring as hell
kasparov re-release v235
A textbook example on how to suck the very life out of a bunch of meshes that could be used for something nice. How the hell did people find it in their hearts to vote for this?
boring
very great winner demo even if it reminded me of Kasparov and Portal 2
this is normally something that would came out 6th at a hungarian democompo. no offense.
looks like a quake flyby and yes, boooring. this won?
Zonbie: I think what people are saying is "less engine, more demo".
the cassette looked awesome, and some seriously skillful work with graphics and textures, the engine also rocks.
but as stated already its a bit of a fly-by without any soul, i lived your previous demo, you clearly are talented people, so look forward to your next demo :)

also the music reminds me of daft punk a little bit, no that is not an insult :)
nice 3D, ok music. Expected much more.
deserved winner. was fun to watch you guys working on it until 2min before the deadline - that's the spirit!
It's a bit weird to associate the music with the industrial atmosphere. Nothing special with the FX or the soundtrack, but I liked the idea of the greetings part.
nice 3d art and stuff. it just lacks a soul.
Awesome work with modelling and textures displayed on a flyby but not my conception of what a demo should be.
What pro said. But a piggy for the work.
In the end this highlights how weak the pc demo compo has been this year. :(

mmmmeh
Nice done, but not my cup of tea, sorry.
no way.
Was that so special..?
So I guess it makes sense for this one to win but it certainly didn't feel like this one brought anything new to the table that I haven't seen so far in any previous Panda Cube release. I suppose there were some nice textures in there but it all felt like a tech demo for some game. Didn't do it for me.

Srsly.. WTF?!
seen better, seen worse... still a thumb.
fuck off already
It's good but not a winner demo in my book. Let's see some fresh ideas next time :)
there's a massive amount of work involved but it's so lifeless at the same time. i had the chance to talk to grx a bit before and after the compo, and i love the enthusiasm he had, but after the compo i couldnt help to point out that there was nothing happening, there was no tension or anything. it starts with such a nice touch (the tape recorder) and then it sorta goes into the usual flyby, but this time the lively colors of flux were changed into an asd-monotone. the music was also less interesting.
here's a challenge for you guys: make a demo with a narrative. it doesn't have to be cinematic, but give it a beginning/middle/end.

It feels like one has to know modelling to appreciate it.
Amazing effects, and some nice 3D modelling. Your tech really needs a director... you really need some direction.
namevoting? Another boring sceneplayer-demo from panda-cube :( not bad enough for though...
medium
I was really disappointed seeing this winning first place.
The modelling in some parts is nice, but all in all it has nothing special. Music isn't great as in previous pandacube demos, everything looks quite empty, the camera just flybys everything - and all that within 100mb :|

Suprised to see this win the whole demo competition of revision '12. Watchable. Maybe a panda animation would have saved a little. But then again I felt like watching the animation compo inside a sewer system. Which can be cool, but .. no thanks! Some nice colours here and there and the greetings part looked ok. A piggie to accompany the panda.
When it started, it looked like Fallout 4 intro, but even when it was really nicely rendered, it was empty flyby. If you add at least dancing zombies it would be thumb up worthy. Enjoy your first place, but this demo will not be on my hdd for sure, sorry.
though i dont dislike flybys this one feels as it could have been amazing (due to pretty cool tech), but simply was too static. i wasnt too fond of the music too, so unfortunately just a pig
I loved this - MORE PANDA CUBE!
People with this much technical skill should really know better. I won't thumb it down because of the work and the tech involved and I do understand that different things work for different folks, but for me this does absolutely nothing and I agree with a lot of comments here.
Abuse of great tech.
I guess this isn't a bad demo. In fact, this could easily make it into top 5 at some small party, with maybe 50 participants.
And it somehow won at Revision, which really makes me not want to watch any of the other entries. Except Variform 2, of course.

nice tune but the rest can be skipped
"PC demos" compo was very disappointing... Total lack of original ideas...
hm, o.k.
I have personal problem with your demos. Theyre visually ok, but I always found them rather uninspiring, "flybyes" in some not so original city/factory/abandoned mines with cheap music.
Before downloading I wish this "winner" demo can be different, but no history is repeating once again.
Cannot thumb this down, but it is a mew.

absolutely lifeless!
hard to understand how it could get on the first place

.
O_o--b
Beggining was nice, then it turned into very boring flyby, nice tech stops me from giving this prod a thumb down.
massive start but unfortunately it gets weak and boring :\
How could this win at Revision?
Boring scenery, no special music and 110 Megabyte of data for all that?

Three scenes a good three minute flyby demo do not make.
a bit boring
Feels like the reincarnation of old Smash Design demos. Good modelling but very very boring. The annoying soundtrack doesn't help either. Weak piggie.
played portal 2 way too much, haven't we?
What StingRay said.
Moral thumb up for all the downvoters, winning Revision makes the audience more demanding. Solid demo but without bringing anything new or exciting with it.
hated it, sorry. you obviously have the skills, but it was just a boring 3d fest.
thumb up because most other pc demos sucked
I disagree with this demomaking orientation.
This is really good work, but it is too much of a flyby to really enjoy it.
boring.
too POP and too uneventful. piggie for effort ;)
soulless monster.
your previous demos were much nicer.
your previous demos were much nicer.
good art (texture), but boring scene player (hello 2000)
Strange. Most of the opinions here don't match with what people voted at the parties.
Awesome technique (good renderer, good polygons, good textures, etc) but lacks style, and lacks something happening.
So piggy.
So piggy.
What a shame :( A wonderful scene with lots of dynamic content and ZERO atmosphere. I am disappoint.
bumpmapping abused like in the first Halo makes all of this look like an industrial scene... covered in slime and sperm :)
there's just nothing going on here and technically it' seems like nothing more than a rather standard looking scene player.
very nice soundtrack though.

very nice soundtrack though.
Rendering quality is awesome. The very daft-punk like music rocks.
Lots of parallax mapping, but see no reason for it to require DX11 hardware.
What Ferris said. Too much flyby for my taste.
Nice! :)
well, deserved winner!
it's ok - not sure how it won..
Music was good, especially in the beginning but it didn't stop me from getting bored.
Ok
I just joined the piggie crew!
A piggie from me also. Quite nice rendering, but not very exciting.
quite a bunch of nice ideas and smooth visuals, overall direction could have been better
In the right mindset it's anything but boring!
great tech, but that's about it 🤷♂️
I love the atmosphere and music! WOW this is awesome!!
