I remember smoke coming out of the demo compo machine (not really from the machine of course). It was funny.

This was good fun to prepare. Must give props to the BP beam and event teams though, they came up with the idea to do it in the first place!

I second okkie. Great idea from the beam team! It was funny to see kb furiously shouting, but there was a little too much smoke to make it believeable :)

I think this ought to be added under the 'liveact' prodtype as well. Or would that be silly?

The 'demo' doesn't run here, but if I understand correctly, the 'demo' stops after a few seconds and then makes it look like the demo computer caught fire?! If so, thats awesome.

the "smoke" actually look like fog coming out of a fog machine, so I didn't really think that was real. Was quite a shock due to the aforementioned BBS pic, though. :)

This is the ministry of truth speaking. We never had a smoke machine next to the compo pc, and we have most certainly NOT used it during the showing of abovementioned production.

(very funny tho that ppl have mistaken its noise for a fire extinguisher :)

I liked the 10 seconds AND the joke. I was sitting quite next to the beamteam on the grandstand...didn't believe it because kb shouting and having a smile on the face made it obvious it's a fake. But quite a nice idea! :D

Huh, totally ripped the idea from Sundown where our equipment actually did catch on fire!

I liked the face of the nVidia guy - looked like he thought the party beeing doomed for a couple of second ;)

opening with a Limp Ninja demo felt suspicious, although I was in doubt concerning what was actually happening

rc55, setting competition machines on fire is so 2002 (Mekka&Symposium Amiga demo compo) :)
