if not a bit too long, but very nice indeed! fuckings to XNA though, i watched the vid. great job.
thanks for the greetings, binaries please!
Firstie.
yeah!
trsi ... since the ice age... roxxx
WTF?
There is nothing in there that looks sufficiently advanced to justify a XBOX360 demo. Also ugly colors and bad flow.

thanks for the 360 prod, but too dull, better luck next time!
i guess the platform could do MUCH better, but a firstie is a firstie. and actually this one looked good no matter what platform, 'cause h2o knows how to twist the pixels. only the blur was too much, especially on the starwars scroller part.
overrated
Nice one, but missing the final sync. ;)
very fresh and stylish, should have gotten 2nd place in my opinion
Like a big fat ugly Xbox360 commercial
for the effort and giana sisters!!
cool
Started out ok, but then ruined by the most obvious joke crap.

This is not your and also not my opinion for true, the Giana Idea was the best in this demo. It was excactly that what we wanna see.... So don´t go the "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" Way - Keep on demoing this way how you like it to do - it was brilliant and i hope in the next demo is again a old-skool effect.
Greetz, AMI ;-)
RockZ.
>> i forgot to rate this prod <<...
Not bad, not that good either.. And not the first.
it started somewhat promising, but it was to empty and the oldschool votegrabbing thing didnt really appeal to me at all..

You get a thumb up for this statement! (and for making Shifter happy ;))
I've been very into XNA development latelly, so I was glad to see that one. Well I must confess that I was planning to make a XNA demo sooner or later...
I'd really like to take a look at the binaries.
Congrats guys!

goodie!
changing your own style to please ppl like okkie & shifter : binairy suicide !!!
stick with your own style instead of trying to make another forced farbraush or being the new future crew.

+ massive growing weed (loads of polys, right? :))
+ the logo stuff (weed logo, xbox360, the bugs, etc)
+ giana sisters
- too repetitive (smurf village shown for eternity)
- confilicting styles (techno demo style rotating logo and growing stuff)
- nice to have a single colorscheme, but it doesn't fit with smurf color.. maybe some poisoned smurfs by gargamel?
it's technically not too impressive considering the hardware but it's a first..
overall: piggy. but keep up the good work!

VERY GOOD ! i need to thumb up !
is ok
For the first one factor. Keep doing it ;)
DHS in the greetings, instant thumb up ;-)
Not the best console demo I've seen but still I like it.
this one started out really good, then the oldskool shit started.. and you repeated the effects way too many times.
looking good isnt everything.
despite the effort and that it had a few ruling effects.. i still need to give it a thumb down, because it promised so much but failed to deliver.

A cool demo by a cool crew, with some good ideas. I particularly enjoyed the oldschool part.
[-] The color scheme makes it look like an official x360 advertisement
[-] Amiga boot screen? Fuck you! + all other oldschool faggotry (especially the Giana Sisters thing)
[-] Not releasing the binary or even the sources.

oh, i just read that you won't be handing out binaries. Isn't that against the BP rules in some how?
anyways, mediocre demo with very bad coloring.

what ps said
Sorry if my words came out too strong, but seriously an Amiga boot screen image in a demo is about as "cool" as a fake blue screen of death...
my thumbdown is mainly aimed at retards who claim to be "oldskool", and then proceed to vote this quickie-prod over this masterpiece
the overall design and flow is really slick, only if some parts were shorter (growing trsi, jelly village). especially liked the transitions in the beginning. and some great ideas and crafted small details (bugs, upscroller, shadows on the main layout, background animations at parts). a great demo if you ask me.
and for people bashing this for being too xbox360ish: isn't using a style favoring the underlying platform preserving some consistency to the overall idea here, being amigaish that is?
and h2o talking about changing styles. i really wonder how it's output will be :)

I do like it to a certain extent. But really, that Amiga bootscreen did not add anything. Move on to new things. :-) It's not a bad demo but some parts looked way too recycled from your last psp demo (not that I don't like those effects, but, as with the amiga bootscreen, it's time for something new) and some parts are shown way too long so it gets boring. Nice to see first 360demo! :)
Enjoyable, yes. Perfect, no. XNA, ick.
Rasmus: I don't think you CAN provide binaries on 360/XNA. I don't know. Nor do I care. XNA = suck.

Maybe TRSI needs a new supgrup to make some nice actual demos :) Masque, Nah-Kolor, Mellow Chips etc etc.. ;-)
Still a nice release !

nice rls..

Sorry, couldn't resist :)
stay on psp then
Shazz: you won't miss much, Outline will be full of sick dutch fucks anyway ;)
Still haven't watched the prod btw, sorry :)

You know what , i have the style i prefer, and goddamn i love the amiga late ecs times, i was always fighting for this styles, but listen ... 4 Prods and 4 times NOT ENOUGH people voting for our stuff, that means we are not state of the art ....
Did I misunderstand this: You have a style you love but you're going to change it because you want people to vote you? I'll continue backing up the scaly pecker sentence :)
About this prod:
For the content it was too long. Design was otherwise ok.
shazz, you're jumping to conclusions there... like i said, my thumbdown was aimed at those who claim to be oldskool, and voted this prod above the wamma 4k in the BP compos. so it cannot be aimed at you- you said yourself that wamma deserved more than what they got- and that while your own prod would've been the first to lose a rank because of it. so i definitely do not have any beef with you personally- in fact, your sincerity in this case is something i admire.
Since when was I rude? I just put a timbo quote in there because, well, it fitted! :)
Stay relax people, it's only stupid computers!

Itsenys!
STOP THE HATE .. plz. and i would like that trsi would make "more" modern demos
ayatollah: insulting Havoc and giving your own prod a thumb up is probably not the best way to defend your work...
+ havoc is somebody who brought significant stuff to the demoscene, including Outline :)

uhm , ayatollah, read the wiki page again, havoc is active since 1989, which is, afaik, a small bit longer than you are.
but stop that personal bullshit please.
also read once again what havoc said. he was neither attacking you nor this production i think.

and i personally will take care that you two guys drink a kölsch together at evoke, because such a stupid personal beef on basically no reason is absolutely idiotic.
I have to go with Stingray here. And all the oldskool sucking up is ruining it for me.
some parts are cool, and it has nice musics in it.
ayatollah, i'd be interested to hear real arguments, if you have them. but i'm not falling for your kneejerk personal insults. just like you don't know me, i don't know you, and i'm not shortsighted enough to judge people based on 3 minutes of googling and a decade old picture.
H2O RULEZ !
not very good, but not completely bad either
Some parts are good, some are awesome and some are average at best. Use a tighter design next time (thus making it shorter and getting rid of the bad parts as well as too much nostalgia) and you'll have a potential compo-winner imo :)
O_O--b
Sorry for asking, but if the idea of releasing the source is such a biter for you guys, why develop on this platform? It's like complaining that the demoscene is for faggots and then attend a demoparty in drag :)
The XNA bit bites, not releasing anything sort of sucks. No thumbie, but thanks for making me happy :)

or listen to italodisco with Okkie!
didn't like it :/
Binaries please!
With XNA Game Studio Express Refresh release, you can release it in binary format with "package as xna creators club game" feature, so no source code distribution needed.
I'll hold my thumb until binaries are out.

So they paid a fee to microsoft to be able to do a demo on their console ?
neat stuff.
keep up the good work guys

huh.. great stuff. respect to h2o and vigo
Thumbs Up for not making yet-another-peecee-demo on another platform. The design is REALLY different from peecee demos, I recognised more than half dozen effect remakes from excellent OCS Amiga demos.
-IF there is a next generation Amiga demo, this is it!

nice clean style.
but time to move on to new shores id say :)

i like it... the "hidden part" rocks too :D
holy mother of god, this was tasteless.
Some nice and some dull parts.

Wrong - the "package" deal is just one big blobfile containing all data _AND_ the source, it's just that its much easier to distribute the stuff this way cos its in one big file with all the settings included.
good gfx but... what preacher said.
ok, i stand corrected - apparently someone was wrong when i was acquiring information :)
gargaj, don't trust msdn forums :)
Actually the "ccgame" format is compact enough for 4k intros, as it's CAB based and consists just of the exe+resource files combined with a simple .resources file containing actual filenames and game title data etc.

sorry, no.

Updated.
So you paid to be allowed to do that demo ?
So you paid to be allowed to do that demo ?
Good start anyway. Shazz: no more st stuff from you by the way? :)
Holy crap that binary package is huge! You should compress the audio track to XMA with the XACT tool.
Holy shit 130MB for a demo!?!?!?
the ´ music ´ :/ too much style overall.
(Nice) Oldschool effects on "so called" nextgen console... well it's cool for me
Anyway waiting for an original 360 demo

XNA or not.. The demo was really nice.
Looks nice and sounds nice, but.. eh.. I don't know.. Piggie.
nice one!
Its nice and my thumbs up is exactly because i like seeing "oldies" active!
Isn't this whole scene thing more about being creative than being competitive and judgemental?
Two things i would have done different about the demo: 1. slightly too many trsi-logo scene-changes 2. the break in the middle is like a smack in the face, pulling you out of the atmosphere.
