rulez added on the 2002-05-12 23:08:41 by D'Arcy
this is impressive work dudes! I like the soundtrack and graphics. the scenes where very nicely syncronized with the beats. good work!
rulez! =)
cool stuff, good music and graphics. might increase your heartbeat ;)
groovy track backing up colourful gfx. pixeled pornstars. entertaining.
This is good, but the 2D overlays almost killed it for me. I personally feel they stay on screen too long and do very little other than invert colours.
Looks very polished and runs nice on my below average machine :)
Keep rocking excess!
Stylish, and polished. Upbeat soundtrack included (scratch-o-matic).
Great.

Great.
the new tbl :D
cool demo
Yeah, nice one. Disliked the gfx though.
Great works!!!
Cool music and graphics.
Cool music and graphics.
weird chicks, cheesy 3d, scratch'n'heavy soundtrack - all components of a delightful no-brainer are in place.. 8)
This = cool. Pure and simple.
great
well... the design is totally sucky ofcourse. but guess what, it wasn't pretentious and it moved along swiftly with some nice effects that did not just consist of additive planes.
(and this positive review has nothing to do with my bald-women-fetish, which I don't have, I hasten to add)

mmm.. bald women...
Fair demo. PHAT SOUNDTRACK! :)
That envmapped tunnel was quite ugly, but the rest was nice :)
And the music kicks ass!
And the music kicks ass!
i didn't like it that much.
kinda repetive and simple but very kool! i enjoyed watching it..
I like it. I like it a lot.
No sense at all, but fresh and festive. Good design/colors too. Try not putting 2D overlays gfxes just because everybody does ;)
Nice camera synchs, groovy music.
Nice camera synchs, groovy music.
hm i must say that in retrospect i found the effects a bit too cheesy and sometimes spoiled by artifacts
Really fun demo that serves no real purpose.
Quite traditional demo scene design (which is always a pleasure to see) with some neat looking effects and graphics, and a funky oldskool soundtrack.
The Graphics is nice, and so is the sync you guys really deserved the 1st place!
traditional demo scene design? For me this could also be a demo frim Wired98. Sorry. It´s ok, but many Demos are OK. for me nothing new. I watch it once. That was it. Ok but also boring.
Bring back Plasma and Tunnels? No thanks.
Bring back Plasma and Tunnels? No thanks.
I like the graphics... A LOT. The hairstyle of that girl sticking her tongue out, brings some flashback from some Haplo's classics. The baldie however looks like a cardboard cut-out. There are some rectilinear cuts in her head. Ow! And the demo ain't bad, it's nice to see.
graphic music effects all is very goog.....very good and speedy demo...respect
(_o_)™ huh... I mean rulez x')
Not only slightly improved look, but also much smaller :)
..however, the real treat of the final version was the readme.txt, which was truly brilliant :) great fun reviving the _02 memories again! this might possibly also be a world record in ()-remarks in a readme :) (regarding the flawless language in the text, I guess Sesse wrote it. kudos!)
..and, oh yeah:
I also like the demo :)

The 'final' crashes right on the start, while the party version worked just fine on my current setup (k2/win98/tnt). :/
Yes, TNT1 (16mb/agp). It crashes right after the start, no matter what command line parameter I use. It doesn't switch to fullscreen video, just the "somethings wrong at 0167:004252e4" box. :)
As said, no probs with the party version...

Very nice! Now this one even an "oldskool" fan like myself can appreciate. :) Great music, stylish graphics and nice effects. More!
this is quite entertaining, mainly because of the good soundtrack. graphical design and textures are a bit ugly and objects are too simple but it's a nice demo anyway
Apparently it bugged on my computer... During the first minute or so of music there was nothing on the screen and I only saw one effect after that, none of those fancy-looking pictures on the screenshot. :-P
pretty regular
I'm sure there's a pretty chemical explanation for all of this.
a bit boring, but nice design and graphics. and a bonus point for releasing source under GPL :)
i like this style
Ahhh!
At last I got OpenGL working, and to what a view! :)
I love this demo, especially the timing of the flashes! (and the spike-fluid)

Nice gfx, me like.
Nice colors and gfx
Nice gfx with (maybe) too few effects, but rather good demo
yep
O yeah baby, Beats those farb-rausch releases these days.
Nice grafix, demo-different sound. I like the idea of the loading-bar. :{)
groovy
Cooly
sweeto
The demo really works because of the heavy soundtrack and the great synching/camera rockin'. Nice prod. :)
very nice, wish it were loonger =)
kick ass!!
good rythm music, with some 2d gfxs and mono-objects effects
yes, it's a demo, with true 2d gfxs and logos, rare nowadays

Nice code, great graphics and a powerfull soundtrack.
I watched the Linux version, which was frameskipping on a P4/2400 with a TNT2, but that's probably my system. Also, Sesse, keep in mind that when /dev/dsp is busy, it's better to report it to the user instead of stopping with a cryptic 'Unhandled exception: Error in .obj data' message :-)
And of course, kudos for releasing the code and putting this in the debian unstable tree :-)

Neat stuff! Graphics is a little bit course at times, but makes it up in personality. Great tune, too... I wonder if they got the idea of the zooming stars behind the scary Susan Powter head from my old Operation 3DFX demo entry.
its nice but not my cup of tea
the whole demo is refreshing and uplifting. more demos like that please.
however, not really convinced by the music. good but not really "scenish" and too much "clichés" in it. IMHO

Some cool fx, pretty old school, it reminds me of DOS demos where we used images to fill in the blanks :). I'm not really into the hiphop music style but some drum & bass rythms are pretty cool. Nice demo, found it listening to Nectarine radio :D
Nuoldschool, I like. Would have thumbed up for sharing the source anyway.
Music roxxx
I really like the driving aspect of the music.. it's got balls and it just keeps on going. The effects do their job, though the only one I really liked was the plasmaball with hairy normals.
cool sound and babes.. ;)
music makes this demo.. the cubes at the end is all full of shit though you 3d studio precalculators.. Nice pics by neuromancer.. where'd he go? there is a special place in hell for those colours in the flaresquare scene..
Pi :)
The stupid looking 'Buddha' let me smile, but this prod wasn't my taste at all.

smooth. and respect for releasing the source, it even looks comprehensible!
opensource...
Fast and full of energy, vibrant playful colors, hard hitting sound, and excellent code makes great viewing experiance! :D
Nice graphics, cool soundtrack, great music-sync.... quality prod!
Pretty short but very nice to watch. I totally hate the soundtrack though.
I HAVEN'T THUMBED THIS!?
not yet.
not yet.
very cool demo! one of my fav pc demos..
sexy music, sexy pixels, sexy effects :)
Yep - sexy :-9
sells
I know the girl in the screenshot personally \o/
Funny. I found this on the Ubuntu packages repository.
Thumb up!

hi
good/average demo with cheesy design and classic effects, but most of all seems to be the * only * demoscene prod available on linux ubuntu depots, so mega-thumb-up for this !!!
ah yeah ! A little bit short but so good !
good.
total mix of styles, but went good :)
not bad
The sole reason I started making demos.
hot stuff, back then
Cool demo
