Generally speaking I'm not really into this style of demo, but even for me this production didn't suck.
Another *very* strange demo. Maybe I must watch it several times, but actually I prefer 'Incyber'. But in general more interesting than usual 3d flybye demos.
wish to ask, is midi-in support supported+?
lovely ___ should have won mekka2oo2 competition _

MASSIVE satori production!!!!!!!
I send a "kiss on the noze" to zden.
it roxxxx....
good point you decided not to participate to the mekka democompo, you would have been unselected by the preselectors, they will never be able to apreciate and understand such a masterpiece artwork...
and they already showed it many time by unselectig great works...
anyway, we dont care, we just want our eye candy, so dont stop delivering;)

no way we would've preselected this out!
alkama: you are wrong. simple as that. of course we would have shown this. the not shown demos were total crap.
oh and of course: this one rockz.
audio&&visual==awesome=>respect
(_o_)
too sad to think that 90% of the self-pretended "scene-artists" will never understand the half of this animated-art jewel.
demos suck, this rules.
recently I started to hate the word 'understand' ;]
thanks zden!
Maybe my machine is not powerful enough, maybe I'm just jealous that no matter what zden does, and no matter how medicore it is, everybody says how great it is and maybe it's just me who thinks that the statement that this would have been shown at ms is pure hypocrisy (I bet it would have been preselected if a no-name group would have submitted exactly the same kind of demo...).
Anyway, there are still plenty of good satori demos out there (metamorf, incyber, tao, singularity...). Feel free to disagree... :)

zden, just a thought/question: is the title "de:tox" influenced by the track "detox" by strapping young lad? If, yes, well, that's also a rich source of inspiration for me. :)
And no, I'm not a good coder myself, I'm also using code for visual experiments/self-expression, nothing too serious though...

This was refreshing after seeing all mekka'02 entries. Different (as susual from zden;).
Can something dirty, trashed, noisy and fragmented be elegant? The answer, I believe, is yes. You don't think so? Download one of my favourite arguments above.
I am sucker for flashes and distorted music
Experience it
kicksass!
Damn, this stuff just keeps getting better and better with every release... genuinely different, claustrophobic, intense atmosphere.
somewhat disturbing and scary.
something i wouldn't watch in the middle of the night in a dark room just before going to bed.
zden is _the man_

strange. but cool.
oh, and on the people ranting about the ms2002 preselection: interesting that only those who were preselected complain...

indeed
amazingly good
This is to noisy for me. Nothing special.
Metamorf and B10 are better, imho.
Elran by i2pi are also very good.

the moral winner of the ms2002 demo compo
it can win something that it didn't compete in. but i likes.
superb! one of my favourite demos (2002 releases)
10 x rule!
10 x rule!
ver very cool. rulez a lot. it's really refreshing to see something like this.
ive registered on pouet just to have a chance to say: i dont believe i could possibly marry a girl who wouldnt like this.
this turned a shitty day around.
better than therapy.
thank you zden.
better than therapy.
thank you zden.
Yes !!! Very refreshing !!! Very original !!! I am sick from all those "demos 3D fly byes", Satori refreshes the scene once again
definitely rulez
yes, very nice!
but I don't really know what's there to "understand", as elric put it... just wondering

Interesting demonstration. Which slightly reminds me a bit of one of his previous pieces 'metamorf'. (atleast the audial-experience) ... What I love about this demo is (much like as 'metamorf') is that it's so chaos'ish, drifty. organized low-fidelity chaos. You can't really get a grip of what exactly is happening all the time. Which sets you into some kind of very noise'ish, 'confusing' state... (which ofcourse is meant in a positive way) ...
In comparence with 'b10' for example, which is very 'concrete' so to speak. Where every sound in the demo is visualized with a minimal approach. So I guess it's a matter of taste what you like. Even though, I like both :)
>>> and for tomaes: I don't think it got anything to do with that track. Instead, I think the demonstration is about the "media-noise" in our society.
In my opinion, the name 'de:tox' and the demo itself sort of tells me something like:
"remove-the-media-toxication" or something similar to that. (which is something I strongly agree with... even though I know alot of you just give fuck about that)... All in all it feels like a protest. I might be wrong - but who cares... Art is in the eye of the beholder. Good piece.

...and yes, over-analysing things is good for your mental health... It really is... BELIEVE ME! I'M NOT JOKING! INSANITY!! Ar2470´204239"900239!9 !
don't pay too much attention in the crap I've said Saffron, i'm just loosing my faith in the animated-art concept from demoscene these times :)
nice
Wonderous. It was loud, it was distorted, but I liked it. I can't even describe why, but I guess I don't need to ;)
Excellent. As usual with Satori. Actually I didn't find this so special when I first saw it, but it's been getting better with every consecutive viewing.
That facial distortion bit gives me the feeling that there's something trapped inside this demo, trying to get out but failing. Eerie.

And yes, "understand" is overrated while "experience" is underrated. Try "understanding" a David Lynch movie and you'll know what I mean ;-)
Cool and funny one.:)
"cool & funny" ? No, now that's FUNNY.
wow, this sure as hell didn't run fast enough on my Pentium 933 (win98se/voodoo5)
anyone with a questionably slow PC should download the video version immediately. It's freaking awesome

massive glop
satori strikes back with another extremely cool release full of new ideas.
mmmm
damn, this rocks. I recommend watching this demo under the influence of.. something. :D
the end is a bit abrupt... but the style definitely rulez big time!
only few demos containing so much noise and rubbish can be (so) good and not boring.. detox is one you can get into and just bang your head against monitor as the mighty noisy beat goes down the screen!
OK, so I've been busy but I finally managed to check this one out. Well, it's predictably no effects and just noise and art, but it's darned good. In fact, maybe my favorite Satori demo to date, and a contender for the next DemoDVD PC volume.
very cool.
Very interesting design and a cool demo for sure !
Well normally I like disturbed images. But thats too heavy. Its not visual beauty anymore. ;/
"S"-creamy!
but why 15MB???
Who gives a fuck if it's 15MB???
Please, everyone: get over your pathological size obsession. PLEASE.

i like rauschen
Nice stuff.
big thumb up
really weird.
I watched it once and decided to comment it on pouet as shit, but then i watched it again, and the music acually is quite good, and nicely synced with the noisy visuals. It still doesn't deserve a thumb up, because of, well, what the hell is this? It's quite big, so is it really just noisy textures cycling fast on top of eachother, with that one realtime distorted face?
In the end, i give it the pig, it's OK.

definitely deserves my vote! strange but nice...synchro is awesome!!!
It's.. different, I don't know if i'm prepared to thumb this up just yet, but it's certanly not bad so i'll give it an "ok" for now.
AAAAAhh, <3<3<3
me like alot!!!!
music roxx!! and nice atmosphere.
super duper strange demo
zden is genius! I watch it again and again and again and I still don't get enough, this demo is just so fucking brilliant.
the spirit of christmas
how on earth have i managed not thumbing this one up yet?
15 MEGABYTES RULE!
It's harsh - like a cold water shave - Hits the spot
great demo, but I need more weed next time to take full experience :)
Not the style I like...
great!
I LOVE THIS
wow - i'm suprised at so many thumbsup.. usually this sort of thing gets the scowl.
But for me, it was right up my alley - very well made prod. thought it was a tad repetitive, but will play later too.
extra thumb for vj integration :D

Haven't I commented this yet. This is one of my alltime favorite demo.
Rules, especially the music.
Beautifiul!
Mmm.. noise that gets repeatitive with boring visuals and music.
cpu timing eh :)
Well that doesn't stop it from being one of the most awesome demo ever.

Very nice.
dark and dirty trip with an awesome soundtrack
I LOVE SATORI!!!
Pure glitch art with a little and sensible 'political' dimension.
(and a great soundtrack!)
(and a great soundtrack!)
a bit too noisy for my taste, but not bad
ROX
hm... not bad, but not that interesting either (despite providing this style while stil most of the scene was busy playing with their shady 3d polys)
why haven't i commented this yet. this rules almost too much.
es rockt
Different from your average glitch-fest noise prod, this one actually has some direction. I like how stuff kind of bubbles out of the corruption only to be swallowed up again just as it becomes recognisable. Potent theme of government cover ups, censorship and controlling the message here. Great stuff.
Outer Noise Limits
satori!
glitch to the muthafuckin max
Fine, I was wrong 10 years ago. It rocks. Having much faster hardware at my disposal now, certainly helps.
(This is _not_ a good demo to watch on a ~700 Mhz Duron :D)
Cool
The screen flashed in one corner, and music started to play - now the screen remained black. Right in the moment I was about to hit [alt]+[enter] (to help the old demo not to fill the entire screen) - the voice said "there's nothing wrong with your tv.." - and the picture came up..
It's the little things :)
This is what realtime art can look like.

well why not?!
unique, different, specific, artistic, expressive!

do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.

but it was NOT delivered to party according to agreement
after 4 years i wanted to participate
on decent demo party and had created
on 1 month vj tour around europe
this piece under extremely hard
conditions
(almost non-stop in bus or in dirty
clubs)
all i wanted to know is the global opinion
of scene culture of this "edge"
demo piece in the competition of
cool "mainstream" demo productions...
enjoy
