Alien, the download link points to a video you fruit :)
Brilliant!! Can't wait too see it on real hardware!

rm, go back to school.
i have to go "back to school" for disliking an obviously shitty prod? well uh, go back to africa, mr. kryps of titan mister!
Liked bouncing ball effects a lot!! ;) nice demo and tune, friends ;)
LOL good music rest is ... :)
i still wonder how you did that fd-voxel...
++music+platform, rest is nice
it was pretty enjoyable due to the nice effects.
Atmospheric (and nostalgy) music, nice sinc in some scenes, good effects. Well, it's all about video. Where is the application (or Win port)?
sure! the effects are too long and pretty ugly, the music's garbage, and some design would definitely not have hurt! how's that for constructive!
i think the point should be more like "why do you guys feel so goddamn pissed off just because someone did NOT give a detailed explanation with his thumb down".. *cough* *cough*
I really liked this one!
I wonder how the scene in the screenshot and the fd-voxel scene is done... is it realtime raytracing?
some flaws here and there, but all in all very solid.
i REALLY digged that voxel. damn you.
yeah, well, boring and not so good looking

nice effects but too much glitches and some of the parts look too empty. looking forward for a final version
Coder Porn. Also, I really HATE that releases with missing binaries are allowed in the compos (which also applies to the MattCurrent demo for S60).
Sorry for that dixan, we're currently working on a win32 port, and on the pocket pc binaries themselves, to make them better.
Great stuff, NO Design rules :D
i loved it :P
binaries please.
pailes: ok, the 'classic' raytracing scenes are brute forced with a little 4x4 or 8x8 subdivision grid, but what about the 6dof voxel ? it's awesome for some fixed point code.
The flow of retroficial is good though the no design and no gfx. With better textures/colors ( the plasma/grid texture is better than a xor pattern, but still :p ) and a thinner font it'd rock.

i'm betting on some recursive octree technique...
The win32 port will be available soon, as we're still working on the design, and on the gfx :) the binaries for the pocketPC version will be released soon as well. Wait a bit guys :) it'll be released today, or if it's not, it'll be before friday for sure. At least, i hope so.
dont pull a Black Maiden please, release the party version as it is.
Please, please, please....gimme binaries !!! :-D
Finally want to watch that one on the _real_ thing (no! Not on c64 this time...but on my pocketPC of course...! ;-) )
Was very cool at the big screen at tUM though!
Thumbs UP for sure! :-D
There should be way more PPC demos these days...! :-/ (Hint! HINT! ;-) )

Yes. Cool. A bit calm.
Was nice on the bigscreen and it's still nice watching it here at home. :) A few boring parts but still a good demo. The voxel is very nice. Gotta check out the binaries tomorrow at work. :)
finally some binaries. woot!
now that you've proven that you can code, i'd like to see some more design ;)
the thumb is for the frame rate.
Well, I rewatched the demo and damn, it's still boring as hell. And who cares how the voxels are coded, it's still a voxellandscape looking like every other voxellandscape for the past 10 years. Whooptidoo... But then again, I've apparently got no clue about coding, so who am I to judge demos :(
i have watched the final on pocketpc now and it looks better
britelite, but atleast you are an expert on the subject of demos with effects that have been seen for the past 10 years
britelite, but atleast you are an expert on the subject of demos with effects that have been seen for the past 10 years
Simple effects but the demo is enjoyable.
Dear pailes, no I won't. But when you do something intresting with your voxels I'll be happy to thumb them up several times.
And to make it clear, the thumbdown was maybe a bit harsh, but the demo was just way too boring no matter how good code it has.
paska mikä paska
who gives a fuck about the effects, the demo itself is a boring piece of crap
who gives a fuck about the effects, the demo itself is a boring piece of crap
the titan style of getting mad at people who don't like your prods is so funny :)
okay maybe i was too harsh, its your first pocketpc demo, this clearly deserves just piggie, no thumb down. keep coding
well, at least i don't go fuckin' nuts when someone doesn't like prods i've been involved in :) and for the record, i'm almost 100% sure that jumalauta's mac demos work on most os x macs. do your pocketpc demos work on every pocketpc device?
and indeed, the demoscene is also about code. my prods aren't, i'm very open about the fact that all of them are rubbish :) but i'm sure we agree that design is of great importance these days, and well, i'm not a coder, and i don't give a fuck about just watching effects on a VERY POWERFUL DEVICE. FUCKING VOXELS! WHO GIVES A SHIT

i really like it but try to reduce the "coder colors" :p
unseen: second actually
britelite: if you don't see why 6dof is indeed "something interresting" with a voxel, then i agree with you. you don't have a clue about coding ;)
kjosswhatever: I'm not interested in coderporn on any machine faster than 1Mhz, and I still stand by my opinion that the voxellandscape looks like most other voxellandscapes during the past 10 years, even if the voxelROUTINE might be better...
all, now, SHUT THE FUCK UP :)
you're a fuckin' comedian dude, have an even nicer day :)
raytracing a heightmap has nothing to do with voxels? okay.. I just dont have a clue about coding. reminds me to thumb up `Toasted` btw :)
pailes bro, chill down :)
pailes but but its a 2d dataset right? please tell me its not a voxel
nice
Nice Work :) but ir0K0S , man, Tell me also about the next co-ops AT TIME :) want to be updated and set for them. thanks
good work
good work
Wow! Voxels rules, more voxels in demo and 6dof (I say 6dof 6dof 6dof like exi daugh exi daugh ;), polygons, raytracing, everything cool, resolution ok not ugly, great tune, good design/presentation, and hey PPC has Arm 200Mhz? More than GP32 and less than GP2X, that means such demos could possibly be happening in GP32 or I hope there comes demos for GP2X in the future, why didn't we have there? Deer Blast!
Now we say voxels I'll blog you about Ken Silverman's new voxel stuff. Well,. some oldies recently, but I had seen some really cool 6dofs there ;)
The latest stuff here (old and not so old code releases) http://advsys.net/ken/voxlap/groudraw.zip
And check http://advsys.net/ken/voxlap.htm
I really have to code something like these oneday..

just wonderful
Knowledge is good. Besides, it's not like a 6dof voxel is the most magical effect ever. It was pretty good back in 1996 but..
I agree, I find voxels and raytracing plus other ways of rendering(?) preety interesting. Too much polygons today, though I am still hooked finishing my 1st software 3d engine for GP32 and PC, cause I haven't coded something like that before and it's interesting to me :)
rox
nice.
Wosh
Uhh, I just love this! Great timing, nice graphics, sound and code. Keep it up!
maybe the download is a bit steep but anyway, it really is worth it.
Nice one, especially Voxels.
I really enjoyed that, although it would have been great to see it on a pda. No chance of a palm port i suppose? :)
well it's quite boring (esp the second half), but for some reason it left me a good impression, liked the music too =)
I am wondering where can I find the music? I tried to record it with kkapture but it doesn't work. So, I use to run the demo in small window in the background while working on my PC just to listen to it :)
not bad
optimus, try this

no try this link
thanks
i was expecting something horrible when i saw the screenshot (well that scene in particular was sorta horrible, actually), but this is pretty nice. :)
Great!
yeah!
Yup.
Yes :)
NO!
Too bad about Titan's surplus involvement in this entry -they cause too much drama and steal the focus from the actual release.
I hand you a thumb. Thanks for the timely Win32 port :)

Pretty neat for a long demo on a PDA! :) Nice tune.
haha shifter ;)
overall a purdy and nice good demo, excellent by pocketPC standards. kinda sweet tracking effort, espec. portamento & delay
etc. Varying transitions, good graphics with nice coours.. purdy.

Shit pailes, im just .. stunned.
The music by Raina was perfect. I got to have it =)
I love the style of this demo (better than yoga, if you ask me) - Awesome work!

i liked it. since its not the averagy 3d acc demo :). back to the oldskool!
niiiice
nooo, it crashes. i'm so disapointed :/
dila: did you "unpack all and ecexute" or just "unpack and execute"? because there's a .pak file you need to unpack in order to get it work. that's where I screwed up first :)
anyway, guys, great job. the music is excellent, and it's all in all a great production. a must-thumb-up. :)

great!
great demo
beautiful music and nice feedback of music into the camera and effects
Great to watch. Of course enjoyable oldschool coderpr0n, expecially the landscape.
The only 6dof voxel I can remember is the one in Orange's The nonstop Ibiza experience.
It would be even more nice to know by developing experience these handheld devices to fully enjoy the fxs...

worked very nicely....great to show off on my toshiba e330...very smooth
Fantastique
So Calm So Beautiful
Multi colored flares where awesome

A rehash of mostly old effects with a good little track that unfortunately starts getting on the nerves when nearing the end. The demo's nothing special but kinda cute. I really wouldn't want to watch it more times though.
It looks cool :)
great demo!
PSP port added! Enjoy!
For cool demo on pda!
no! on psp!! :)
I want to see it on DS (I know it can't handle it...) :)
Impossible not to like this and I love it. Had to watch it twice. <3
soundtrack sucks, but the fx are a nice impression of 1996.
Lots of good work in this one.
pailes: it was 1993
PSP port doesn't work on either of my PSP's. Tried with 1.5 and 3.03OE Firmware. After I select the screenmode in the menu, it loads for a second and quits.
what. more ports? damn..who cares to be honest? it is seems like a peniXxx enlragment now
hint : don't press X but O in the display option menu ;-)
Very cool port, really fast code (as it seems the PSP GU is not really used), I love the particles metaballs, the music and simple effects syncs, cool good old voxel, nice ribbon...
That's my fav' PSP demo for sure !
(damn where is the tumb up ??? silly mac ?)

Thanks for the hint. :D Works like a charm. :) Some minor glitches in the twister but nice port! Nice demo for the PSP. Now make a real PSP demo. =)
hmm, let me watch this again :)
now i remember, this fucking rocks!

Stingray: Sorry for choosing X as Exit, it seems that a lot of people have trouble with that as most games use X as select key :S (it has been tested on 1.50 and 3.10OE-A and worked fine on both)
Actually, that's a western thing. All western playstation games use X for confirm and O for cancel, while in Japan they use O for confirm and X for cancel.
I use triangle to confirm and Right-Shoulder to cancel in real life. Fuck PSP =D. Nice soundtrack ;]
coax, stfu, let us do what we want instead of insulting this way, you fag.
Thumb up for the PSP port!
Did not see this one before, cool stuff
A thumb for pailes, a thumb for raina and a thumb for me because I was clever enough to run the demo instead of exiting it!
irokos will always be the scenes gay. writes a co-op in releases and when he gets thumb ups he deletes names..it was so obvious..lets see how many co-op irokos "arranges" to become famous..ah lets count again:...no need to million co-ops..
Quote:
there are not a lot of people out there who have a PocketPC to run this on.
the ones who do really appreciate the original though!
I have both, PocketPC and PSP and I appreciate both ports! :)
Hmm, both versions rather as 1 of them is not a port. :D
pails, guy, i liked your work on pc, sure i did. proud for seeing a nice thinggie, but i dont like spreading the shit as "a bla bla co-op" and or showing/bragging like a goat <not you, i dont know u from ric/real life>
But yeah mate, good job! it was a other thing i did not like..the way of showing this co-op to the public

I dont give a flying 'bout naming that prod as a titan only or titan/cph (or maybe cph/titan if you prefer your group at first, coax?), i just removed it because you were NOT STOPPING SPEAKING SHIT ABOUT WHATEVER RELATED TO THAT PROD. Now, stop making yourself some movie from dunno where, i NEVER EVER thought about naming that prod as a coop with CPH to have thumbs up, i mean, WHO CARES ABOUT CPH HERE? and who cares about titan? you're the first not to care about it, so let us in peace, and if you want anyone to re-label that demo as a coop, say it. I removed the cph tag because i was more than fed up to see you blabla'ing, and only because of that. Now, please fuck off, and if you got a problem with someone, including me, go and talk on irc, you know, that thing which allows you to talk real time? -instead of bothering everyone with that lame bullshit you took from nowhere. Thanks in advance, d00d, and happy easter in advance.
stingray, what did you say?
ah 2 versions..yes i will add to next hugi disk magazine or might send to pain..
About ripping, yes it should be there also. not the demo stuff but some other.

nice code, nice effects, nice light faking, good sync, fitting music, some glitches, ugly textures, no design, no design, no.. design? you have skills guys, hope to see enhancements in your next release :)
i tried all ports ! rulez coaxy!

Nice. Especially liked the music.
O_o--b
bad for a windows demo, but is ok because it (seems to) also runs on pocket pc
Cool to watch a good demo on PPC :)
Psp port works great! Nice demo :-)
Great demo!
for the psp port
Wow! Best PocketPC demo!
Thx! )))))
Thx! )))))
<3
... horrible font though ;)
... horrible font though ;)
thumb up for the port, but the demo itself lacks the pace an design. just a set of more or less interesting effects.
I really liked the music, and the nice effects it`s not boring at all. I`d like to see more prods in this quality.
Finally seen it on a PDA.
I watch it all the time!
this one is abolutely my taste :)
oldskool :)
and a very fitting mod.

another demo for my WM6 phone, thanks! :)

Pretty FAAAAST demo for both my pocketpcs,
My 200MHz OMAP850 equipped HTC P4350 ran it fast
My 400MHz PXA263@530MHz equipped PDA2k ran it much faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaster !
Nice demo to watch with my iphoner friends.

My totem demo on pda at the moment. Love the "oldschool adapted" effects - interesting codewise, design is ok with some nice logos - music simple with nice melody.
this is one I always liked. Good music too.
.
awwww no sound here :(
Runs smooth in a low-end iPaq.
Coool.
Amiga port please ;o)
I really love the music on this one, sweet and calm sinewave track - well done :)

it's funny how this one, especially the music, has stuck with me through the years. I was really into sw rendering when this came out (with my very outdated home PC) and it was instantly one of my favorites.
