fucking awsome!
rulez added on the 2004-12-29 10:25:55 by bzz
so-so thumb up, because it is way too similiar to "Zeitmaschine", music is average and not very enjoyable, design is good, but i dont like those chessboard scenes. Spider scene looks good...
so - so thumb up
so - so thumb up
phat soundtrack, and stylish visuals. This has about as much to do with zeitmachine as it has budbrain demo.
Exited (crashed?) after the second scene's fadeout here :(
I like how it looks but what was the "pretty fucked-up idea"?
OMGLOL ROTFLMAO
Another standard Farbrausch fare. Some nice visuals here and there, cute shadows. The music was decent too. That's about it, I didn't really experience any strong positive or negative reactions from this.
rocks!
Looks like a remake of last years demo at first sight, but a closer look shows plenty of decent, cleverly placed details contained in the scenes.
nice.. graphics a bit annoying sometimes.. same for music =)
crashes here also at the same point as boyc reported. using a laptop with ati mobility radeon 9600 and more or less latest omega drivers.
Mixed feelings about this one, rather slow and it reminds me too much of Zeitmaschine somehow.
Some nice design & ideas though.
Just realized that most (if not all) FR demos don't feature any greetings. How arrogant ;)

german demo with a punch. :)
Seen at the party. It looked good. It's going the right direction. Watch this demo and be a better person.
Rather slow on a fx5200... anyway, this was cool. Very cool.
I agree with Keops that it's too much like Zeitmachine.
Worse still, it runs about 1fps in places and it crashes my PC too.

I noticed some resemblances to Star Wars Episode IV, were they intentional? :)
Some things could be more polished, but overally I enjoyed it very much. As opposed to majority FR prods, that in my opinion lack on the production side. Good work.

oh yeah; forgot to mention that i think this is the first fr-prod ever to drop frames on my computer (xp2200+,gffx5800ultra)
music *sucks* hard
and yeap... it is slow here too :|
nice visuals
and yeap... it is slow here too :|
nice visuals
Much too slow here, but still ruled.
From what I could see and hear, this is awesome.
too slow and the music is very much like Zeitmachine, whooshes and gated noise
overall it's nice but the rolling cubes and colors got on my nerves
overall it's nice but the rolling cubes and colors got on my nerves
quite interesting, paniq did it again! some slow parts on my geforce4ti, but cool anyway!
smooth on my geforce4ti
very cool style
very cool style
video video / fucking shaderz / video video / now!
Rocks. And yeah, for next time I'd prefer happy bubble-gum ;)
a few very slow parts, a couple of very ugly parts (e.g. the scene with a load of cubes in b&w), but generally i do like the style, design and direction.
pretty slow at some parts on my r9800pro, e.g. at the spider/robot/whatever thingy.
overall it's pretty cool - i'll wait for the final :)
overall it's pretty cool - i'll wait for the final :)
Finally a FR Demo with a different look! Rockt!
Very cool prod!
roXor :)
A tad slow at some parts on my AMD643200+ with 1280MB RAM and a Radeon 9800 PRO, that can't be right? A setup dialog with some options would have been nice too.. do a final ;)
Anyway.. wow, fucking brilliant demo. I love it.
Anyway.. wow, fucking brilliant demo. I love it.
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
very likeable. colours are absolutely disgusting in a very good way :-)
Crashes at the same point described by BoyC. But hey, it had to be the speediest crash ever. It went back to my desktop in less than half-a-second. Demo one moment, deskopt the next. Now that's effecient coding.
But in all seriousness, I enjoyed what I saw. Yup, it's similar in style to Zeitmaschine, but there's nothing wrong with that.
I'll withhold the thumbs up in hopes of a "final" that runs to the very end.

I am sorry to say that because I like Paniq music very much but: I don't like the music at all ;(
However this demo certainly made it on the bigscreen because of the beam friendly ensemble. Well, it crashes too when entering a white square. Waiting for final release to vote.

beautiful
Cool. The spider was really nice.
Ok, worked at my home computer. Smooth beast. I dig this much more than Zeitmaschine, which was much more messy when it comes to the direction. The synchs were sweet but sometimes tiny weeny bit off - hard to explain but some things going to the beat just didn't seem right.
ok : i did not like last FR tum demo at all ! but correct m if i m wrong but the engine improved a lot , the shadows looks very nice ... there is obsiously a lot of attention paid to graphics and i love that ...i can't wait to see things like this in 64 k : once again fr pushed the limits further ...btw it crashes in the middle and the music could be less repetitive but who cares
untz untz untz
hmmm a hardware problems ? slow ? Bah, what ? It runs like "lambo" here on my A2600XP XPSP2 +Radeon9100 +newest drivers
nice and fresh scenes, but i dislike the music, as well as the last part with that spider.
Crashes after the second fadeout :(
deadly crash on my R9700 Win2kSP4 1024 RAM Athlon XP1800+ Catalyst 4.12.
It stops when there is a scene with jumping tetrahedrons. I hope this will help You a bit.

though I don't regularly listen to such music style, the soundtrack worked very well for me, and i also enjoyed the way the visuals are synchronized to it.
i have gf5600, and also experience framerates that seem inappropriate, but no crashes. a final version solving the performance and stability issues would definitely be nice.
:O
Exits when the camera steps into the second white rectangle. (winxp sp1/r9800xt/drvs 4.12).
Good work there paniq. Congratulations!. Shadows were great :)
during the first 15 seconds i thought "my, that's the most ugly farbrausch thing i've ever seen". but then, step by step, it started to make sense! especially those cubes with the greek mosaic-esque design were very neat. the whole "geometric" feeling had smth very special about it - because it wasn't only about geometry but about geometry-related aesthetics like those greek patterns and stuff. great work, paniq!
hehe, looks abit like kasparov on e on some parts.
pretty cool! keep up the good work paniq! :)
pretty cool! keep up the good work paniq! :)
Wicked cool.
Looking very sweet, like the mosaics \o/
Looking very sweet, like the mosaics \o/
I like it. Looks good, sounds good but wish it would run to the end. Crashes out on me too. (WinXP SP2/ATI X800 XT/AMD 64 3400+/AudigyII)
Excellent as always
...
Nice illuminated scenes, and well balanced colors. I've loved the detail on shadows, and the GI touch in every frame.
Very Personal, don't take it seriously...Worst things, for me, the resemblance in music and sincro tricks to ZeitsMachine, and the Spider sequence, it's totally out of place...even a huge stream splash of that red ropes have been better.

Good show! Paniq obviously took some of the recommendations people made regarding zeitmaschine to heart, because this was near-flawless. (Admittedly, the spider wasn't my kind of thing)
clue :)
Nice design, sometimes slow with a FX5800 & i2.53.
WOW! outstanding fr-prod
ah: it does lack enourmously on my mashine.. there are big pixelblocks everywhere and on some parts it slows down to 1-5fps.. (do you want a screenshot of that pixelthing?)
huh, I remember a spider, but i was fairly baked out at the time (: And yes, it does remind me of Kasparov slightly. This is a good thing.
Yes.
theta
The best production at The Ultimate Meeting 2004.

Good enough. :)
theta chaca chulo phis!
Really great, and paniq's track is brilliant :)
ran like shit (why?).. and what i could see of it looked awful.. although the music was cool!
I get the same bizarre pixelblocks like venomsoup. I'm not sure why he thumbed up something that is clearly buggy, but okay. :)
Specs: Radeon9500/WinXP/Catalyst4.12
Specs: Radeon9500/WinXP/Catalyst4.12
imo this is visually different from zeitmaschine, the soundtrack is pretty similar, but better. some scenes remind me of escher, which is ok.
sagacity: cause i have seen it on another machine where it worked properly... (and actually i don't think that it looks like zeitmaschine)
my specs: win2ksp4, radeon9800pro, newest omega drivers
my specs: win2ksp4, radeon9800pro, newest omega drivers
i like it a lot, very nice product, i like the music too it fits to the style of the demo itself
PaniQ crashed my system HOORAY ;)
this was fine, congratulations!
great visuals + superb soundtrack!
just great
and not to forget the usual one for the 2nd placed demo "should have won" ... echt jetzt junge!
good looking scenes, great camera direction and a powerful soundtrack.
also a good progression, but why does it end at the climax?
also a good progression, but why does it end at the climax?
Holy fuck. One of the best demos I've ever seen.. the sense of movement is incredible, the soundtrack is relentless and the visual design just screams of perfection. <3 <3 <3
The badass section of fr strikes back with better design and worse soundtrack. Piggie!
visuals were nice. sounds sucked.
enjoyable although i suffered from fps drops and arachnophobia while watching it..
the avi writer code is really nice.
oh, and i love that part that rips off Black2000, the popular demo and Kasparov at the same time ;)
Other that that: (selfvoting and such)
Other that that: (selfvoting and such)
loved the style in this one
WOW! that kicks ... and now put this in 64KB please! ;) There was only one thing i that wasn't good - the very intesive light-flickering bevore it fades out (did anyone try watch this in a dark room?) ... waiting for final! [runs fine on my overclocked rad9600pro ~20-35fps]
quite nice
Nothing really new in style, gfx or music - but a cool demo! Well done paniq!
Thumb up for a good prod... some stunning scenes, nice effects, simple music, but there are still better and more interesting (fr) prods out there.
btw...new kkrieger engine looks stunning... hoping for a new stunning fr release at Breakpoint. Macht was cooles!

ugly, slow
What's up with the star wars reference? :)
nice render, cubes, triangles, cubes...woha!
was kk was nice
yes, we all like glow and blur :)
And I thought it will be ok when I do the next hardware upgrade around Assembly...
<3 you paniq.
<3 you paniq.
watched the video.
the visuals are lovely, but the music is a capital error, imho...

Great visuals! But unfortunately marginalized by the music. Could have been much better with other music.
yeah!
too bad the music is too repititive : \
too bad the music is too repititive : \
I was expecting something new from FR.
Hang up after the "red-line" scene... camera go into the white box and the demo jumps back into windows... :(
p3 1.3ghz, 512mb, fx 5700 256mb, win xp sp1, det. 53.xx.
p3 1.3ghz, 512mb, fx 5700 256mb, win xp sp1, det. 53.xx.
Stunning visuals, but a bit boring, great demo anyway!
Ok. i saw the video and here goes my thumb... (hm. music is very boring imho.)
whoa.
Gives me sequences of 10fps, then 1fps then 10fps again, and there is nothing to indicate that it should go like that on 5700 + 3Ghz. Maybe a bug ? Waiting for final (as it also crashes after a minute or so...).
crashes here after the fadeout with the jumping boxes... (athlon xp2800+, geforce6800gt with both 66.93 and 67.03, winxp sp2).. never experienced any problems with the earlier prods on this box.
Damn, that robot sucked. Besides, still a neat demo though.
WOW! I had to watch the video because my graphics card was found in an ancient tomb. This was a really cool demo. The word "tribal" came to mind.
A ketamine trip in realtime 3D, nice nice. Some pretty cool elements - the spider, the motion blur -, but somehow, watching the demo left me indifferent. The color scheme is a bit too coder-colorish. I don't like the music very much either - and I'm a fan of paniq's other stuff. The demo has one great moment though: when the beat stops and everything comes to a halt, briefly.
All criticism aside - for a first time effort, this is definitely worth a thumb up.
All criticism aside - for a first time effort, this is definitely worth a thumb up.
this isnt a first time effort O_o he already did atleast zeitmachine before...
ps: depends on how you look at it... paniq only did music & additional gfx for zeitmaschine.
strange. well, strange is good.
great
I thought it's a joke. Unfortunately it is not.
That was Thee most sickening display I've ever seen.
The tune could be one with only four channels. It's too miniimalistic but does what it was meant to do. Paniq is able to do better music, that's for sure!
In some parts the demo reminded me a bit of Tron 2.0 (the game). Really not bad all in all!
In some parts the demo reminded me a bit of Tron 2.0 (the game). Really not bad all in all!
sorry, but this felt kinda shallow.
Don as CP once said, "hate in an emotion of the dark side" you sick sod
I like the track and I like the emotion transported. The only thing that baffled me a bit was the sudden ending.
I got those Tron vibes aswell. About half of the scenes ran very slow on my laptop (9700M 512MB 1,5Ghz Pentium M), but the other half ran fine. I liked the style and It's definitely better than Zeit'. I'll give my rulez when I get the final.
PS. Why doesn't it let me to choose my monitor's aspect ratio et cetera?
PS. Why doesn't it let me to choose my monitor's aspect ratio et cetera?
A different visual style, very nice rendering, especially the lighting&shadows, but i hate monotonous music..
I liked this plenty. The soundtrack was much better than zeitmachine, and the visuals were pretty nice too. Good stuff paniq!
The first half (except the very first seconds) rocks - nice rolling cubes, shadows and colors. Then at times it's not that good; the music didn't left me impressed either. Overall, a nice demo.
POWERFUL!
very stylish
hm...
i'm really pleased to see fr releasing stuff that isn't a one-man-show (aka visualize) demo but it didn't impress me too much
it's very stylish and stuff, cool ideas, very abstract but still it doesn't do anything for me, so a piggy, sorry

not as good as the kinda similar zeitmaschine, but very kewl anyways! paniq rockz!
ok i ve seen it .. good design powerfull code .. too bad for the music
nice
Excellent color scheme and design. The giant spider simply rules.
too much like zeitmachine. (and i didnt like that too well)
absolutely unenjoyable framerates.
and doesnt look like it actually needs more hardware...
debugging?

An excellent addition to the collection!, can't wait for a final. ;)
Cheers.
Cheers.
Works all the way through with Catalyst 5.1.
Now that I've seen the full thing, my only complaint would be the walking robot doesn't really fit.
Now that I've seen the full thing, my only complaint would be the walking robot doesn't really fit.
final rocks :)
oh yeah. Things are running smoother now!
When I got to the point where the camera stops following the red line through the buildings and pans up, my computer just... stopped. The music still played to the end, but the picture was frozen there and the only button that worked was the power button. (WinXP Pro, GeForce Ti 4200 Go)
nice final!
thanks ryg, smooth like a baby's bottom now
My problem sounds the same as Crusaders, except it made my screen look like this:
This pic was taken with my camera phone cos my PC locked up and it wasn't possible to capture the screen.

paniq: To be fair, I can create 20 generators and a shit load of effects in Buzz pretty quickly... That doesn't really allude to track complexity. Not to be arguementative about whether or not work went into the soundtrack.
shane: don't worry, it's supposed to look like that on _your_ computer ;D it's like that amiga trojan some funny guy put out years ago ;D
Acctually this demo manages to run with "bad pitch" (well, it looks like badly coded blitter;) first time i tried the "final"... Then esc -> rerun, and it worked.
However, speed is like 20% of what i had in the partyversion (or i was just too drunk when i watched it first ehrm). No driver change...

the final has solved all the problems i've encountered with the party version :) and the techno spider rulez! :))
not exactly as weird as Zeitmaschine but still pretty Auf die Fresse.
absolute killer \o/
rulez as always
rulez as always
NOTE: if you happen to own an Intel 915G onboard card, update to newest drivers, then it should work.
I think this should be really great with 3D glasses! Unfortunately mine refuse to work at the moment...
Very cool, as Farbrausch always is. Some nice original stuff and the spider is great!
final version runs just fine here (xp, gf6800gt 67.66) and it sure is really cool =)
two comments though: would be nice if this could run in 1280x[1024/960] so it wouldn't look so blurry on my tft.. ;) and i liked the shadows, but why not have shadows on the robot-scene (including the cubes)?

When I heard that Farbrausch had released a new demo, the first thing that came to mind was another Visualice thing. It looks like I was wrong. This in another dark techno demo in the style of Zeitmaschine. Good stuff.
ok, finally i can thumb this up, but mostly for incredible engine ( which eventually managed to slowdown to 15 fps on my ti4200 :( but overall if fucking cool ), cause i didnt like the whole design concept. But tere were really original and good-looking scenes.
and 1.02 ( or so ) final with spider shadow fix would be nice ;)
and "die (or) demo" dialog deserves one more thumb :DD

paniq: your buzz screen capture is crazy ;)
thumbing is up because I LOVE this demo. The light, the fx, the spirit in it. Great job, again.
Really great! I love the design and scenes!
this is farbrausch... (greetings from germany)
oxbow: wanna compare? ;)
Cool demo, but not really jawdropping (at least for me). Great code and fine music and visuals, but I think I have different taste.
Gargaj: Did you really put all these machines into 64k synth and managed to make it run in real-time? Great job! :)
Gargaj: Did you really put all these machines into 64k synth and managed to make it run in real-time? Great job! :)
it's actually just a beta version of the track, i think the real version contained even more...
like Zeitmachine - boring...
I liked this although it was quite slow on the ol' warhorse-o-mine. Good job paniq.
I liked it a lot, even though i have no sound at the mo!
good work lads.

Music sucks but it fits the context. And "natural motion" is a nice thing to do. :) Apart from those two issues, it's good entertainment.
brill
and the f0rking thumb for it
Cool stuff. The track rocks.
Not bad in any sense, but somehow low replay value
Stylish, cohesive, beautiful, rhythmic and evocative. One of my absolute favourites.
That is not my taste. The music is monotonous and the visuals are just satisfying compared to other fr prods.
at first i wanted to protest, as the music made my ears hurt... but flawless awesome smooth graphics won me over..
and the robo ant exstinguished any doubts
and the robo ant exstinguished any doubts
oh yeah..
Good one.
pretty cool. anoying music, but great engine
ROCKS!!!
good stuff
This one kicks ass, one of the best FR demos.
hardcore Soundtrack and Spiders... I hate spiders.. but this one was nice - Good one
Feell the(ta) beat! :P
paniq: d3d demo, therefore i cant watch it with wine.
Very Nice!
good.
Never gave it a thumb up? There it is.
yay!
great
not for me
visuals are enjoyable. music is even more enjoyable.
Impressive.
really perfect, really amazing : this is what i call a demo !

Tune is boulder crap. Therefore the whole thing bores the hell out o' me...bleh
loved the graphic style even though it was simple.
Enjoyed the graphics style!
Enjoyable.
for thos psychedelic patters...
I find paniq's demos very enjoyable, and this (first?) one is no exception.
epileptic!
nice.
You should add a warning about about epilepsy with this demo :) ...but yes, it rules!
execution and music went well, but design and visuals were ugly as shit, sorry. don´t like this at all.
This product is a nice remix of...
fr-036 Zeitmaschine = Graphic (Glow, Blur, Objects) + Camera + Sound
fr-025 the.popular.demo = Round Ground (when the vocals begin) + Round Tribune (second scene) + Disolves + ...
fr-022 ein.schlag = Space + Camera "hopping" + Audio and Video sync + aggressive Sound
fr-06 Black = Rolling Cubes + Ball + Font Color
Kasparov = Follow the Pipes + Camera + Robot
+ 3D-Glasses
+ Tron style
+ especially the sound together with the robot and the light effects and the scroller at the end with the blurry background is well done!
...too bad, that this demo is even so not under the Farbrausch Top Ten...
- Mayby, because of the discrepancy between the scenes => some scenes are too uninterresting/boring/naked.
- The graphic over and in front of the "planet" looks strange in my eyes.
- Unfortunately, too many people don't like the music.

Excellent techno demo.

now it´s even more vivid to me why i love this farbrausch even more than debris and theProd.

absolutely fantastic! top music and visuals. Haunting.
video download link is broken, but the demo rocks! It's hard to believe I have never thumbed this up before.
Can't really tell why, but those music synced jumping cubes and thetrahedrons hypnotised me...
riktigt bra goa dödsrejvs demo :)
Urgh. Not for me. Sorry.
Even nice.
amazing lighting
Great stuff
Never saw it before. Great style, music is a bit monotone in my opinion.
still such a kick ass demo, the robo-spider thing is pure ownage, had to make a capture for myself :)

it's still awesome, however a fix for aspect ratio and/or higher resolutions would be much appreciated!
