- demo Windows Fast Forward by Doomsday
- I have to admit that these guys know how to make stuff look good. Notch or not, there's still countless hours behind all this and I appreciate that. And everybody uses tools. Some tools just do a bit more than others.
But I have to think, if we should take some steps backwards? Arbitrary limits have been the thing in demoscene, and now the only limit is that it is realtime. Which of course requires some optimization efforts even with Notch. And now when I start to get philosophical with all this, is your tool actually limiting your creativity? Something like Notch is not a tool to make everything you can imagine. No tool or framework is.
Notch stuff looks good, especially in talented hands like shown here, but can you innovate? Of course you can! But perhaps it takes couple of more rounds to really materialise. At least if you are not part of Notch (or any other similar) dev-team. - rulezadded on the 2024-09-16 15:27:34
- 4k Windows TIME|DARK by Strategic Brand Elevation and Market Alignment Directorate for AMOC
- We just wanted to let Doomsday win, this time, so we extended our franchise and founded this new enterprise to coordinate efforts to dilute our brand further. We just have to give newcomers and less well known demogroups a change.

- demo JavaScript I Saw A Peacock, With A Fiery Tail by Kooma
- This got rejected by Samsung Galaxy Apps because it _doesn't_ go to sleep mode. Like I mean... you can actually watch the thing without tapping screen all the time.

Browser version might miss features on certain browser. Seems to work alright on Chrome and Edge. Safari and mobile Chrome didn't play video texture. - isokadded on the 2017-08-07 08:53:22
- demo Mobile Phone Do not call me cute by Kooma
- Yeah. It is kind of slow. Reason for this is that it is surprisingly slow to render big additive layers on mobile hardware (with too big screen and outdated drivers). This is also partially software rendered. Shaders do also too much work considering hardware and result. I wrote this down quite fast and my focus was not in the visuals. Party version was even slower because it rendered few more layers. :)

- A Qt/QtMobility demo for Nokia N900. Video coming soon, but point of this demo is to run it on your own device. Also guys at the party where whining about framerate, so I made "optimized" ""final"" version.

- demo Linux Recycle by Pants^2
- You have to start from somewhere. Our first demos/intros some 16-17 years ago were much crappier.

- demo Commodore 64 Unsigned by Byterapers [web]
- Great stuff. Tune rocked and code was good especially for C-64 virgin. You can see that Suckho hasn't been making C-64 demos for last 20 years. I mean that this demo wasn't stuck into rigid form like way too many demos on old platforms. There actually was some style. Only thing that broke it was those sprite bugs. They were funny though.
