Does what it says.. hexagons reacting to music. Sounds decent, but one scene plus minimal camera movement equals meh.

It doesn't really go anywhere, unfortunately.
It sounds and looks nice.
But it didn't caught my attention at the compo, other than for the hexagon repeating/tiling thing, which is actually pretty neat thing to do.

Great music, bytes probably wasted on the FFT. That together with the single scene makes it look of like all those audio visualizers on Youtube. Maybe the music can be a bit more optimized in the future e.g., by using less different units in Sointu and removing some of the ones that don't do much, to leave more room for visuals.
FFT is neat thing to have, but maybe at least for some cases in the future, some simpler algorithm could work as well?
nice, but not much happening. Thumb for the music.
Cool music. Small but cool
Lovely music, I'm sure this is one of the three intros with great that Sir Truck was wondering about at the CompoStudio. During the compo I was thinking that the effect would look better if the hexagons rose higher, but then I noticed the marching artifacts on the ring closest to the camera... Marching 2D-height derived terrain always needs hacks, and getting hexagons right is indeed painful :) Count me in the camp that didn't realize this was an FFT, I assumed it used some volume envelopes or such.
ok
