- demo Windows cannapaceus by mfx [web]
- Finally got a computer that runs this one. One could say mfx has lost their touch, but I think they went back to their roots after all the mainstream releases.
For a first time watching it was an interesting experiment - first feeling like discovering all the "cool" filters in Photoshop 4 back in the days, emerging finally into a grand noise bliss. The moment when the camera raises from the "sea of noise-embossed shapes" was alone worth the wait.

- 4k Windows Texas by keyboarders
- This got to be the best release NVscene had to offer. Mindblowing 4k, in all aspects - also what is not easily achieved in this format, with proper flow and building up the tension to the very end.
As pretty much all the demos that leave permanent marks to the demoscene history, this one is creating controversy from th - rulezadded on the 2008-09-02 11:30:33

- demo Windows The Seeker by Still [web]
- Perhaps my favourite from the Intel demo compo this year. Has atmosphere and continuity over all the rest while succeeding in being very close to coder porn at the same time. Unlike most of the comments suggest, I thought the music was the weakest link - I liked the classical parts but those idm glitches ran out already long before 2008 and rather distracted than completed the whole. Or perhaps that's just a matter of taste. Nevertheless, please - more of this!

- demo Windows Nazca by Cocoon [web]
- Has all the Cocoon trademarks (faces staring out of the stone, rotating tunnels), but that doesn't mean it's not a hell of a show at the same time. Clever typography, too (Willbe?). Solid work, and I did fancy this more than most of the late Cocoon demos.

- demo Windows TMDC lives again by Northern Dragons [web] & Bawlz
- Cool effects and execution, but somehow it sounds like your musician is deaf or something. :)

- demo MS-Dos Valkone by Coma
- One of the better entries in the TG98 PC demo compo, even has most of the video footage recorded at the party place (first time anyone did that?), starring Leuat and Finnish export beer. :)
