• 1. it's hilarious how the design makes no sense.
  (why? 1st part typography/effects and that hilarious 3 icons screen, texts, slow/happy music with a corpse gfx)
  2. music is some formulaic, flat, empty eurosomething
  3. the abstract effects are rather pretty if not a bit naive
  4. the industrial scene is pathetic for 2001 (when compared to de profundis or kasparov)
  5. did i mention the soundtrack was going nowhere?

• it's not a good oldschool styled demo.. i mean if you want to go on the oldschool trip, then watch again some old scroller demos and learn from them... your scrolly's sine function is neurasthenic, it's rather slow, it's missing clever screen transitions (vectors turning into 2d, original decompositions) ... it's not shiny or whatever.

  << News for sceners: I have recently joined forces at Razor 1911 demo division. I'll be the musician and craptalker for the time being. It's a pleasure for me to be in a group that probably is the overall best ranked PC scene group in history. Being used to be a member of #1 groups, such as AFL on c64, I enjoy to continue this tradition.

• do you know why it was cool when that person said that? because the aesthetics of this intro are the aesthetics of disfunctionment: elevating bugs/errors to the level of intention/art.
