• gopher: you might have some trouble with the perception that the instrument quality isn't so hot I think. Trouble is, the instruments are now so good that it's pointless comparing them with v2 or whatever, they'll get compared with real instruments and 'pro' type synths where they don't fare so well.
  
  In all honesty my first thoughts on the audio were along the lines of "hmm.. cheap synth". Followed closely by "no, wait, this is realtime, in 64k. Whoa!" It's like smash's visuals don't quite hit pixar standards, but he's not trying for that and we're not expecting it, so it never gets compared, but the audio is starting to hit that point where it does :)

  As a demo.. well, it's oldschool, so if you don't like oldschool you won't like it. But it's decent oldschool, and an enjoyable watch :)

• The intro felt like somebody tried to copy visualice's recent style, and didn't quite pull it off. Then, dancing manga robots with terrible animation. If you're going to do character animation, then character animation is kind of a key skill, no?
  
  Well, I didn't like it. But I respect the work that's gone into this, technically and artistically it's close to being really good. So, no thumb down, and keep at it, I'll look forwards to the next one :)

• I'm all for originality, but this ended up just boring. About the only interesting thing was the rendering, and that was merely a flyby of what looked like photos run through a 3d converter.

• I'd class this one as 'near miss'. As in it was nearly 1995-level awesome, but just missed.
  
  The logos at the start: awesome. The rave part too. And the tune. And the other rendering style near the end was nice.
  
  But the parts after the logos sucked a little. They were slightly boring scenes, with slow moving cameras, and just lots of glitch to liven it up. With some sync of the objects or the camera movement, these parts could have been ruling like the rest, and the whole demo would kick ass.
  
  Still a seriously cool demo though, and I'll be watching it again. Any chance of a final with just a little extra sync in there? :D

• Interesting one, this. On first watch, the visuals left me a little underwhelmed. I think that's gopher's fault for making such an awesome synth and then letting reed near it, the audio side is totally stunning.
  
  Back on the visuals, this is a really interesting looking technique. The lighting is really nice. The scenes themselves are seriously cool. Maybe it needed just a bit more direction to link everything together. And I suspect this method can do some much more interesting effects too :)
  
  One thing I'm very curious about: 'geometry' side done on CPU or GPU?
