- demo MS-Dos Pill by Opiate
- not half bad, actually, compared to other naid demos which have become embarassingly bad over time. runs in dosbox (tested with 20060201 build) with ems=true. the credits screen has always been screwed up, they used a weird vesa mode or something.

- demo Windows fr-047: malpasset by Farbrausch [web]
- ah, finally, a followup of sorts to fr-05: konsum. :) this photo composition actually has meaning to it, as the photos gradually transition from all-nature to all-man-made. man tries to stop nature, but nature prevails (nature suxx :). the sounds could be interpreted as sounds heard around the dam. this would work well at a gallery room with a projection screen.

haha, dixan put it very well. looks like the comment struck a nerve with oyiseer, eh?
the first ripple effect and music save it, but still.. average for a flt production. - isokadded on the 2006-03-05 21:48:30

Demos are demos, not musicvideos.. Can't we see enough of these on tv and other media?

9 Fingers by Spaceballs
How come the party that i went to could produce so many classics? :) One of the most original and spoken idea of it's time. This one is good, no question about it.. I'll give it 10 fingers..

- 4k Windows Parsec
- haven't i voted on this yet? 4k's have come a long way since 10 years ago. more importantly, 4k *programming* has come a long way since 10 years ago. we all just have to get over the fact that software library calls have replaced hardware calls.

- diskmag MS-Dos restless #1 by Opiate
- yep, this one runs in dosbox too. move the mouse to the left or bottom of the screen for menus.

- diskmag MS-Dos Restless #2
- holy flurking schnitt! bust out the bacardi, cuz it runs in dosbox!
this old, relatively unknown diskmag was coded by.. me. in quickbasic. i shit you not. i put it together for the gathering 1998, and i haven't gotten it to run since.. 1998. the party version was a bit short on articles so it was actually released a couple weeks later. anyway, find any other qb app for me that has svga, mod music, and clickable buttons and links, eh? :)
the north american scene was dying out by 1998, so it lost that theme after issue 1 and went global. hell, even ghandy from the amiga scene contributed some articles.
issue 3 never happened. frost made a nice interface for it, with that font that everyone uses nowadays (this one), but that's it. boo on me.
and yes, the menu font in this issue is lame. this was before i even had photoshop, or windows.
now i gotta see if issue 1 runs in dosbox too. :) - isokadded on the 2006-03-03 02:04:25
