- demo MS-Dos/gus Go Easter by Verhot
- an overseas entry from a short-lived finnish joke group. a bit goofy but if you like jeskola and hirmu stuff, give it a shot. provided some comic relief in the demo compo.

- demo MS-Dos NeuroToxin by Sentience
- yeah, it's a smorgasbord of oldskool effects.. roto-zoom, plasma, fire, mandelbrot zoom. the energetic music keeps it somewhat lively. call it a coincidence that flight also had the "move it" sample and that nearly every damn naid 95 demo had a voxel landscape. unfortunately the fire scroller goes on waaay too long. at the end, you get photos along with the credits, with some of them standing next to swimsuit model posters to make them look more like players. :)
i think this was the first demo group i met in person - friday night at naid before it officially started saturday.. we played hackey sack in the hall.. good times.
in dosbox, it doesn't seem to want to run with the gus, so disable it in the conf or run "set ultrasnd=" and it'll go with sb. - isokadded on the 2007-03-24 18:16:52

- pretty much everything mentioned in the intro and the infofile is a lie. :) their naid '96 demo was, of course, this.

- just digging out some more obscure demos from the north american archives :) this one was a bit cute and original. it was for a 2-minute demo compo (2 minute time limit to show the demo, not make the demo :).. something that's certainly not so "impossible" these days.

- demo MS-Dos The Potato Salad by Team #coders
- well, i thumbed down the 6th and 9th place demos so i'd better be consistent..

- allright, so it's not that good a demo :) but the 3rd part is at least a little redeeming, and like so many of the other NAID "our first demo"s, the end scroller is amusing and sentimental. if you're sick enough to try getting it to run in dosbox, i didn't get it to run all the way to the end unless i set the speed to auto/max.. which makes some parts run too fast anyway.
btw, watch for the quick cameo gfx from fthr/tpolm :) - isokadded on the 2007-03-21 23:31:55
