- One of the first demos out of Western Canada (Calgary). The guys who made this (aged 16 and 14 at the time) later organized Crash '97.
Doesn't run under DosBox. Runs under PCem after some config.sys tweaks. Couldn't get a Fraps capture though, so video will have to come off a real machine. - isokadded on the 2014-07-26 22:42:52

- Well done. I'm glad it automatically plays each track, as they make a nice listening album, collectively. Good gfx, but the mag engine needs updating. Good articles.. that FLT history, even if it just covered C64, was a book in itself!
Regarding diskmags in the era of Javascript/HTML5 websites.. well, you can read the mag online too, which is cool. But there's something about having a complete package, with a collection of original music and graphics.. that gives it a real demoscene feel and not just some text on some website. I guess it's like buying a CD (or record, for the hipsters :), or a print magazine. It forces you to focus your attention on the product, and not get distracted by IRC, Youtube, cat photos, etc. - rulezadded on the 2014-06-30 22:42:56

- Let's stop pretending Dreamhack has had any connection to the demoscene for the past 10+ years, okay? New DH prods are about as relevant as those dreadful TP2002 entries. :)

- I was expecting a REU port, but streaming from a floppy.. yowza. The SID was cute.

- For the attitude and ripping. Maybe take a break from Pouet and stick with the local Russian scene for a while. Then maybe you can get into some real-life fist fights like in the good old scene days. :)

- Oops, I didn't notice that Trixter self-voted. He probably didn't realize that is taboo/verboten here. I had nothing to do with this prod so my thumb should still stand. :)

- So, can someone change the screenshot to color, or one from the second part? :)
Looks and sounds great in Dosbox with cga and 200 cycles. It helps that the video and HD are much faster than the real thing. But I did watch this run on actual hardware, and let me say, it's surreal to watch it on a small IBM CRT.
At @party, I asked Trixter if he'd seen the new Atari ST hicolor video encoder. He did, and scoffed at a couple things: 1. 12.5 fps playback, and 2. it takes 1 hour on a PC to encode 1 minute of video. These things don't cut it for Jim. :)
Regarding the (appropriated) content, Trixter hoped people would focus on the technology instead. Displaying all the tech specs certainly helped. I can't help but recall Algorithm's C64 demos. Now we wait for the writeup! - rulezadded on the 2014-06-17 18:34:29
