I wonder where that idea comes that scene is or have been like a huge hippy PLUR community. If you look old prods, you can't miss there is as much fucktros, dissing and wars as there is nowadays. Stop crying like a baby and be a man. Your whining all the time just strenghtens the biases about you (and Titan).

Jean9: Actually, in the past there was a whole lot MORE of dissing, fuckings and wars. It was all about competition between groups, first for game releases and later also demoscene productions. But then the Internet came, groups lost their meaning in the legal scene as the spreading machinery ceased to be of any importance. People could also cooperate more freely with eachother, instead of having to rely in local groupmates' resources. Personal differences and ego clashes still result in occasional disses and fuckings like this Titan business, but compared to the old days this thing is quite PLUR indeed. These days you don't see many fights at parties, people blowing eachothers' cars up with dynamite, guys actually injuring others because they're in the wrong group or use the wrong machine.. Or have I just been too drunk at parties to remember such actions? :)

Is that a good or a bad thing? I personally don't enjoy fighting, but then again I do have fond memories of seeing melons shot into pyramids and filled scrollers dissing ParaLAMIA and Unique. =)

Quality fucktros might be a better idea to solve your differences than flaming in Pouet. Then again, even Pouet flaming is lot better than a fugly 5 minute jokeprod saying "UR GROUP IZ GAY", so please don't do that either ;)

There were many ridiculous wars 15-20 years ago too (like Amiga vs Atari crap). Those new (whatever)tros are total shite but i don't know why they should be taken _that_ seriously.

Speedfisters and thoose with simular comments has totally ruined the joy of beeing a scener. And yes okkie maybe I should quit the scene. Noone seems to enjoy or work, or much worse, not even understand what we are trying to do. I think it is very sad. When you have grown up with computers all your life, and you are proud of what you do, it is not fun having anyone making fucktros here and there. And to be honest I know MORE than five guys who has quit our group just because of the fucktros and bad credit that we get.

I mean, do you actually this is fair? The fucktros that were released on C64/Amiga were jokes. Not one of them were serious. They always had some comic breaks in it. Same goes for the warez groups. Sure it was a contest, but they always took the contest with joy. They did like the contest. It is totally different now. And yes, I do not think pouet is helping at all.

I bet that more than half of the registered users in here havnt even started a DOS Ascii intro. Or even less tried pacman at tthe C64.

And to you mr. teel. If this were a joke, why do you think I sound so serious. Have you ever downloaded a DoD release in your life? Do you remember the old Triton guys who coded and coded and eventually grow real big and started Starbreeze studios ? Or do you remember (who we spoke about earlier) rez with all of his work on Alambik?

I would make a bet with you, that if you know the scene as it was when thoose guys were still active, yes I know rez that you have the chiptune v3 ready but you are so slow. I mean even Rob Hubbard and Chris Abbot changed codes sometimes, long after C64, even ASM)

I hosted the gallery, domain, updated websites and mirrors, made 2 intros (How many did u make), made lots of modules, mp3s and I even made some ascii) How much have you done the latest halfyear? I am just saying the scene isnt like be as before. And no jean9, you are wrong. If you check at the percent of "fucktros" now and then... they have increased with more than 20%. And also, most of the C64/Amiga fucktros very funny in a way. Just like "Faster than light".... Theese are not. They are just to annoy us.
