Small reminder that if you plan to arrive with a caravan or camper van, you should be able to find a free spot on the parking lot in front of the party building. However these spots are strictly for parking only! You're NOT allowed to actively camp there, meaning while probably nobody cares if you sleep inside your vehicle, you cannot put any items such as chairs or similar in front or around your vehicle! There is also zero access to electricity or water for your vehicles. This is an absolute no-go and we have to abide to these rules. Just mentioning this so you're aware of it and don't arrive with wrong expectations.

tl/dr: sleeping in your car / van / caravan / camper van? - nobody cares.
Build yourself at home around your vehicle? Please don't! Seriously!

oh, and while I'm at it. PLEASE don't leave anything of value to you inside your vehicles. Because such items are NOT SAFE in there.

Bring them inside the building instead, where we can lock them away if needed.

spelling fixes:
"abide by" and "build a home"

PLEASE DO NOT email us via Google or Microsoft accounts (gmail, hotmail etc.) because our host currently does not handle them well at all!!

Why is this so, isn't mail just mail? I ask because my address happens to be @gmail.com. I can upload the main content elsewhere but how would I signal you where to find it?

In recent months, big corporation email providers such as Google and Microsoft liked to block our private mailhost, which prevented us from replying to emails sent to us from hotmail, gmail, t-online and so on. So people would never receive our response mails as they were quietly discarded. We've since updated the mandatory dkim and spf domain entries to get around this issue, but in all honesty I still don't fully trust that the issue is fully resolved.

So, just to be on the safe side, I suggest submitting your entries from another mail provider which reduces the risk of your submission getting lost in transit (or our replies). It's only a week until the party now, so if you submit your stuff and don't receive a reply within a day or two confirming your submission, you should be worried! :)

In summary, using gmail or hotmail "probably" is fine now, but I would still recommend using another provider if you can.

@SunSpire thanks for the explanation.

Why is the Nordlicht 2025 party not on CSDb mentioned?
added on the 2025-07-17 01:28:07 by G-Fellow G-Fellow
I don't have access to csdb (my account was deleted multiple times due to inactivity). Someone else there would have to create an event page for Nordlicht each year.

Quite a few people are asking us about extending the compo remote submission deadline, so it is now moved until tomorrow 10pm (CET). After the day tomorrow, everybody will be busy building up the party hall, so might not be checking emails very often then and your request might be a hit or miss. If in doubt, remind us about your entry before this new deadline hits, please 🙂

You know what happens when I visit a demoparty: there will inevitably be a new batch of pictures from the TRBL same-day party photo delivery service.

Great party, thanks for organising it!
Awesome new location, cozy athmosphere all around. <3
Nordlicht really becomes more and more professional each year.
Cider was delicious, compos were nice and I loved to meet the family and just hang out together.

Maybe one PSA to the end:
Guys, know your limits. I know some might only have few times in the year where they can feel young again, but you don't need to hammer yourself away so much that you barely can walk or talk anymore, do you?

Friday night someone severely drunk and in a state beyond good and evil pissed into the sleeping hall 1 and then collapsed on the floor. (orgas were informed etc)
Unfortunately it sprayed a bit on my sleeping place.
Fortunately Thorin could give me a new blanket and the new location has a shower.
Also fortunately for that person I am not Tomcat and did not shave the persons hair in return while he was passed out or similar.
I doubt the person remembers anything of it though - if the memory returns I would appreciate an apology (in private or in person) however.

Anyways sleeping hall 2 turned out to be nicer than hall 1 anyways and the rest of the party was still great!
Would visit again!

Great party once again! The new location is an upgrade in every possible way. Showers, sleeping halls, a properly dark main hall without too many columns in the middle of the room... :D And the supermarket next door being open until midnight was pretty useful too. :)

Two small nitpicks:
- Please consider using the awesome TrackMeister by KeyJ next year for the tracked music compo, for better song visuazliation and automatic loudness normalization (if you follow the process outlined in the readme).
- Running out of water to sell is... problematic. Not just for visitors, but also for orgas during teardown, where a good supply of drinks is arguably very important and getting drunk is the opposite of what you want. Having a few crates of water left over after the party is likely never a problem - someone's gonna drink it.

Anyway, I hope that we can come back to this location next year!
The new location is awesome, as v3nom and Saga already said.
It was a great party with nice sceners and cool entries. Please do it again next year at this place!

It was a really nice party, I prefer this new/old place over the Lichthaus. It felt more private and the supermarkets across the street were nice, too.

I really liked the familly-like atmosphere, was really an enjoyable party, I just missed some more tunes :D

and no, I complain without doing musics myself :D better for us all :D

a big hug to all who made this party so nice again

I do not know where to start to describe a perfect party.

First of all: I really love the new location! If neighbours are nice, why not stay there?

Second: All was good. Timing, show-up-rate of sceners, compos, live-acts. A big head-up to Drees for all this Stamina and to enjoy people at the DJ-desk!

Outdoor was amazing constantly. During all time of the day (and yeah, we shut down the door sometimes...)

To sum it up: If this was the first Ping, I just want to have the pong!

Oh, while lost and found: I have picked up an issue of "Amiga Fanzine Forever" - Issue 01-2025. It looked ver abandoned, and since I like it so much, I took it to my stuff.

If someone is missing this, please PM me.
