Announcing The Meteoriks - A new demoscene award

It is kinda sad to see that drama going on here.
I vote an admin does the [/thread] thing. We know that:
- D.Fox said they're taking care of it.
- It was also pointed out this isn't the right place to talk to them.
- The thread has already served its purpose: notifying all Pouet-visiting people about The Meteoriks.

Received the certificate today ... and without any whining and drama.

Well, I wanna say that I was informed about the certificate and well... I didn't get it yet although I have replied with my snail mail address. It can wait as long as it has to so I'm not worried. :)
However... The biggest thing is that I did not expect anything more than a mention on a page at best, so the fact that I get a certificate and a neat badge to show for it on Pouet is more than I've expected. I was rather pleasantly surprised by that, but I couldn't have done it without ZanaGB's help :).
Anyways, I don't understand why Baudsurfer is being so bitter. I respect his work as I believe it's technically impressive, but his behavior displayed here is just rude and selfish, and at points even childish. I hope that he'll go do the right thing and amends his behavior, as it's not productive and won't lead to anything good.
Anyways, cheers to those who participated, no matter if they got an accolade for their work or didn't. No matter if you were just submitting your work, being the jury or being the management who ran these awards - You all contributed to the demoscene!
This year we got a lot more interesting demos (In my opinion at least) and now the awards are 100% confirmed official so this year's awards will surely be even hotter! :D

IIRC Smash didn't want to send in his work for some reason.
The Meteoriks team did say somewhere they also reviewed productions outside of those explicitly submitted but the people who created the prods they considered had final say and could refuse consent.
FairLight did get nominated in the oldschool demo :) and i got the certificate today :)
And one of the three demos Smash contributed to in 2014 *was* nominated, twice - it just happened to be the one that wasn't released under the Fairlight label. Nothing particularly mysterious there...
... what? not even some FIFA bribes? :(

Demoklubi is based on the vote of the people who are present at that time. We value good products and downvote (and even stop viewing shitty ones) the crappy ones. If that's not your liking, then too bad. the monthly Demoklubi goes in a way that each month we vote on the products of the month and in the end of the year we watch all the 12 products and vote on them. As far as your eurovision hinting goes, it sort of is true, as the demoscene is mostly a european phenomena at the moment.
Not that it is any of my business, please do humor us by elaborating on the subject a little further; you're not satisfied for not receiving the diploma for a nomination you did not want to have in the first place from people you do not know or want to know?
While I'm glad you're even aware of Demoklubi, I still think you're the same delusional Kozmik with his Traffic Hour style demos and NextEmpire business. No matter how often you delete your history from demozoo.
