Wanted! - A human resource hub for demomaking.
category: general [glöplog]
no, I don't mean a market.
that's a nice idea. folks have talked about it for ages and no one actually ever tried to implement it. thumbs up!
Great idea! I usually think about coding but worry about music, too afraid to ask (but now I have some spares for Revision :)
Menschenquellen ?
Awesome!
Excellent indeed!
Next up: a scener-only dating site to ensure the scene isn't going to die anytime soon.
Seriously cool idea, thanks for making this.

Rules!
Very cool. This is long overdue idea. It's good to see the spirit of collaboration in an era where strict group rosters don't really matter. You should add a link and news item from www.scene.org.
www.scene.org is a different story. One that I should probably post on Wanted about actually :D
That is not such a bad idea. The url is kinda huge, but the front end besides serving files,.. well,.
I'm on the case. It just takes work.
since i said, that demogroups are out, this is the best idea since years!
yeah scene.org needs an upgrade after all these years...
*adds laser cutting as offered ability* (Just kidding.) I'll echo everyone else in saying this is a nice idea, as while I have had an open offer from someone for music should I ever decide to write another prod, it's nice to be able to ask for similar and other such resources without starting a thread about it.
However I hope this doesn't turn in to something like the ride sharing website my university offered. They had people willing to give rides to various places and those wanting one. However the website didn't try to pair them up and notify either side. It seemed to me it was easier to secure a ride if you contacted someone from the offering-a-ride list than listing yourself as needing a ride. Though this is a different context, so perhaps things will turn out differently and more people will browse the wanting-something list. (and/or my experience with the ride sharing website was atypical. :P)*
* A word to the wise: Don't accept a ride from a guy with an injured right arm in a sling who drives a manual transmission Chevy S10 in a country that has steering wheels on the left side of the vehicle.

I love the bilotrip ad.
Damnit! Now one told me T-101 put out :D
awesome idea!!
also, even better idea is to add it to pouet box, so that it doesn't get quickly forgotten (hopefully it will be enabled to everyone by default ;))) ).

Great idea! Let's expand it to human resources for the A.I. scene. :o)
one step closer to "looking for three Indian developers to create a demo for me!" :D
good idea, great initiative! maybe this is something i might be trying some time in the future.
brilliant project! i wish it would have been there 10 years ago...
just a suggestion: how about an expnding towards a sort of "lost&found" category where people would be able to search for long-lost demoscene-related artefacts? perhaps this could work in connection with the "lost" tag on demozoo: http://demozoo.org/productions/tagged/lost/?page=1&dir=asc

...although i do agree that it doesn't really go along with the website's focus on "human resources", so i understand if you say "no" to this. =)
Great idea and nice implementation, good job guys!
10 yrs ago there was ojuice that could do something similar. Or was it dead already?
