hehe.. Well, I've lived here for 10 years. My wife, son, and unborn child are all born here, so I guess I'd consider myself an adopted American.
The change in the general attitude in this country over the past 4 years is really depressing. People used to be so friendly (if a little condescending) to newcomers and visitors, but now you're eyed with suspicion, and we're so divided. I just hope that people in other countries don't make the same mistake and start painting every American with the same brush.
