Breakpoint 2010 - Like there is no tomorrow
category: parties [glöplog]
a great party.
thank you!
thank you!
@lx & thec: I'm extremely sorry to hear that. I had ordered the bus to be delayed until 15:30, but not any longer. Until now I was unaware that it waited longer than that (and I'm unsure who, if anyone, gave an order for it to wait far too long).
Thanks for a breakpoint-demoparty-jetlag that is filled with absolutely stunning memories! I loved this final breakpoint!
Scamp, my flight was at 15h55, so a delay until 15h30 would have been worse... We left around 15h, at 14h40 the bus driver said 5 min but it was in fact more 15min... So i ran like thec to my gate, but i was 5min too late! And because i had a cheap airplane ticket, the company charged me for a whole new ticket... That sad, considering that i left the pricegiving around 14h10 when it was almost finishing. So yes if you find some way to help me on this unexpected charge, i would be glad :)
awesome party! thanks so much for everything, it was one of those moments which will never be forgotten.
we'll be putting up photos tonight, and i'll get started on that video...

I'd like to say "thank you" to Charlie for organizing the Amiga compos. He's a friendly guy and he has done a perfect job organizing.
mega-thanks to the organizing crew, for the awesome easter-times spent in Bingen. this year's party was high standard as usual, i hope there will be some replacement party next year.
the weather was almost perfect, the compos ruled, and meeting a lot of friendly sceners is always nice thing.

sorry, I meant... "to be delayed until 14:30".
I think this year was up there with the best that ever happened.. thoroughly enjoyed the whole event! mega props to organisers! It has actually given me a bit of a confidence boost in terms of the demoscene in general which is great! Bring on the replacement easter party! :D
Also, I'd just like to extend my thanks to Saga Musix for arranging the unofficial tracked music compo on behalf of modarchive.org - It just goes to show, that there is indeed some spectacular trackers out there and 19 quality entrants made the compo a worthy addition to the party.
The t-shirt that was given as a prize was a last minute gesture to the entrants, if I had known earlier that this would have been such a big compo, I'm sure a 2nd and 3rd place prize would have been possible - 19 QUALITY tracks! Amazing...

Somebody got an URL for that weird "hello" video by Kevin Mack that was shown at the beginning of the demo compo?
Back to real life, a couple of words:
- a big thanks to the organizers. I am sure the @lx and thec unexpected over expenses will be solved;
- kb: you sing very well;
- guys who dirtied the toilets and those who throw filters down on the ground are not so cool;
- bull: thanks.

AMEN to that!
I love his Skoda. To make such a haul from Hungary in a 130 just to essentially get stressed out of the skull
shows utter devotion to the cause.
I'd like to second that. Great party! Thanks to all organizers for making such an event possible, and especially to Charlie for Amiga related dedication!
Thanks to all the organizers and big thanks to all people still releasing prods for Amiga, C64, VIC20 and even Vectrex!
Maybe Breakpoint is over but we'll meet again in more demoparties. Demoscene will never die!

Awesome Breakpoint.. especially the oldschool releases where splendid.. First I thought not to attend, but after this great great party I'm really happy for the stay!
Yes, Breakpoint was amazing, big love to orgas!! :)
The worst thing was that it was my first and last breakpoint, I don't understand how stupid I have been by not going down there before. Next easter I will attend whatever they comes up with! :) Until then I will probably go to Solskogen and Assembly so I hope too see some of you guys in a couple of weeks! :)

Thanks to everyone who I have met at this year's Breakpoint - It was nice to meet many new people once again and also to meet people again who I have met in previous years.
Thanks for organizing an awesome party once again to all organizers.
Thanks to YOU all, the visitors, for creating kick-ass compo entries.
Thanks to YOU all who contributed to the unofficial tracked music compo with your kick-ass entries. You showed once again that such a compo is still needed on demoparties and that trackers aren't dead.
Thanks to m0d for arranging the prize for this compo.
And last but not least, special thanks to ryg for being helpful all the time when I had questions about the arranging the compo and such!

... I can hardly keep my eyes open. Time to go home and sleep... In a few hours or so ;).
(and thanks for all the fish)
Thank you guys for a great time at the party! Won't forget it ever!
The only thing I didn't like at the party was that people told me there is no tomorrow and it seems it was a lie ;(
