nice.
i'm somewhat tired of growing pipes, though.

nice. first GL_LINES, then pipes resembling GL_LINES. What is next?! ;)
oh i've made such a mess
btw is the music inspired by some 80s song? the melody seems familiar to me but I can't get hold of it.
Oh, very nice noodles.
really nice visuals and gfx, but sorry i thought the music was bland and uninspiring.
I liked the wave patterns! I liked the music.
mmmm well .. looks like it have been done before
very nice! but i agree it looks like has been done before (onwards), though that's not too bad thing :)
Nice show, great track!
Great flow!
a pleasant but not very exciting watch
As ever, making art from lines and blur! ROCKS! :D
A near thumb, although it's not very entertaining. And, *maybe* would've made me more impressed if not shown directly after MFX Simulaatio 5 Invi ;)
Beautiful code. Thank you guys. You really make me fascinated and truly, you really go on demo after demo. With the acceleration of your creative mindwork there is no one that can hold your brain horses of causing beautiful storms on my monitor.
nice lines
Fascinating :)
Cool code, idea, execution
and a very very very big thumb up for the music :)

yay, very nice. typical traction style :)
very traction
greeeeat first scene, and i started to expect something really good - but it went downhill rapidly after that and became rather uninteresting. and you're a bit late to the party on the "extruded lines" thing. :)
quite liked the music and the small touches of gfx. not sure how well the gfx fitted the rest of it, though.
(by the way, i noticed your extruded stuff seemed a bit buggy in places - are you modifying the extrusion vectors through the pipe or keeping them constant? or was it all intentional?)

This demo is going nowhere
The code is nothing special but it's cool nevertheless.
it was _you_ who stole the internet-tubes!
A little bit boring (next time more diverse effects, please ;)), but it's still a really nice demo.
too much of the same :\
Maybe it needs some finishing touches here and there but this is really nice, especially the rainy scene.
And great music! <3
And great music! <3
I don't really know what to think about this demo. Some parts were stylish, some were just a mess on the screen. Besides it's too abstract for a demo... could be done in 64k. But I liked the music very much. :)

The whole thing was put together in a relatively short time, mostly from scratch and effectcode that was originally written for an another unfinished piece. It definitely could've used a lot more polishing, and a lot better and more effects.. but we only had a few and decided to make the demo anyway. There was more gfx, with no time to put in, and the flow is seriously lacking.
haven't I heard that before? :D
"Err no, I'm not bored. It was really interesting. Carry on, I just need to rest my eyes."
anyhow, this is great. aboslutely rocks.
must say that the first scene was very stylish!! fft-line-terrain :) very nice! it looked good, but people here does have a point, too much of the same, but the sync saved it for me, a pleasant demo!
not amazing, still nice to watch- especially with that (good) sound.
Typical Traction style. But still different.
hmm, some shit on the screen with absolutely boring music. nice to see some new effects, but overall effect is nothing special (composition etc).
come on it's good enough for a thumb up.
interesting mix of traction style and brainstorm style
hey! defintily not the standard bumbum muisc like the most stuff!! me likes it!
This not demo, this WinApm-visualisation, or screen-saver.
+1 for some effects and music
+1 for some effects and music
3 base-effects, and all. Not demo imho, realy WinAmp visualisation
PS: Shanethewolf, put your foto in your ass, please!

omg stop with noodles! it has become an annoying democliché, lately... anyways, well executed! ;)
I normally wouldn't thumb down a prod of this quality, but I strongly feel that you guys didn't really work your brain cells (no pun intended brainstorm) when thinking of ideas how to use lines creatively enough. Or maybe I just don't see the value in the abstract stuff in this.
The music was ok.
The music was ok.
i cant thumb this up. far far FAR too clean, in a really aggravatingly pedantic way.
I like what I see and this totally walking hand in hand with the Traction spirit and in a very nice cooperative embrace:) Enjoy and don't complain if you can't do it better....
I liked it. I am failing to come up with a silly comment.
<3 music colors sync and all. i'll play it again and again that's for sure.
A good one for 'in between'
inbetween demos are so needed in the demoscene! Keep it up!

Nice and great music.
prematurely esc'ed thanks to horribly nauseating music and lack of progression.
nice one. just wish for one or two more effects...
Zzzz...
And I thought Preacher really hated growing things =)

super lovely!
loved it, lill boring after a while but still looks nice
new style but still nothing new.
like the style though.
like the style though.
Nothing new, indeed, but not bad either. Piggy.
Clean and nice, almost a bit too clean actually ;)
please do more demos in Katharsis style instead
love ya.
realy nice...
why was this voted 5th?
minimalistic and simple, yes, but very well balanced, cool retro music and no non-sequitors like seen in other entries. nice concept well executed.

Miami Vice -colors & nice music.
like it mostly for the music and of course the mathematical finesse.
But due to it's requirement of external framebuffers ... video only :(

for those of you who didn't figure it out: it was supposed to be a mix of Depeche Mode and 80s disco neon music ....
as always :)
soundtrack link?
music was very cool! the rest - enjoyable. but the same traction style anyway...
ps: no katharsis anymore... please ;)

Very cool visuals, but the music makes this a bit boring, although the track is not bad at all, just... I don't know :)
I like it anyway.
I like it anyway.
I like the Traction style as always, and the design is very clean and cool. The 2d is so so (lay off the smudge, dude!), but the music suits the prod fine. I noticed the bug that Smash mentioned, and it bugs me. Overall, the demo is neat, should have ranked higher, but it's a bit unispired though. Now I hope that you guys will actually take the time to gather momentum and release something killer for BP. Quality, not quantity.
somehow it feels like traction's stuck in a loop repeating themselves... maybe something else than glowing lines next time?:-)

I've been boo-ed and hissed at for calling them the new Replay, but yeah...
Some part of brain triggered when I saw the scene of the screenshot and recalled the awesome work from demogroup Fascination. Kudos for making me recall the good times ;)
kool oldskoolish music. And the with the borders and shit..hehe...allways like the logos from Critikill. Not many doing logos theese days...or 2d graphics at all for that matter....anyway thumb up.
Really nice demo. Easy to watch, wasy to listen. Maybe my fave from TUM this year.
you suck
worked for me in all possible aspects. so i'll just point out that the music is a very good fit, the visuals are polished, and the whole watch leaves a nice feeling in the end.
Now *that* was boring
Nice mixture.
nice & relaxing soundtrack! a tad overuse of growing lines maybe.
Pleasant, but a little boring.
A little bit boring but cool design and nice tune
nice
More than just cozy. I might even watch this one again!
Oh, and props for the pr0n music - way to go. ;)

Starts off really nice than it get a bit boring.. At it's best moments its´s extremely cool though!
Great, with a wonderful soundtrack.
YES !!!
the music deserves itself a thumb up

Deserves a thumbs up, although it sort of gets stuck in the same gear. The music has a nice old school vibe to it. Graphics very smooth.
sweet
very cool
I really like this one. Great tune too.
Also, where can we download the song/soundtrack? :)
check buzzer's link earlier on.
yey! Not a technical super demo, just a really happy feeling and captivating visuals the whole way through. The world needs more of these. :D
\o/ ribbons \o/
You can't win compos with this kind of demos, but you can get instant coup de coeurs.
the last traction piece that really did it for me must have been 'fiat homo'. maybe because it had a concept the visuals were bound to. this one, again, feels a little bit too random to me. which is unfortunate since i really dig the general traction style.
one a side note: the pixel overlays are well done, but don't suit traction at all. plus, they look like someone either hibernated for the last 10 years or is really nostalgic about mid/late ninetees demo design elements.

a little bit boring, but ok for now
aight
nice one :)
hmm, a bit boring and could have fit in 64k
I like it, but well there are better demos from traction :)
maybe was a bit boring, but the music its lovely
Okay for music and fx
piggy for demo direction::a bit boring

I didn't enjoyed it as much as other Brainstorm demos (sometimes boring), though it has so clean visuals, nifty colors and nice music that makes me give it a thumb up.
watchable :)
Beautiful.
beautiful.
feels like advanced version of win95 pluspack screensaver.
Beautiful :).
cool but a bit boring
liked teh muuusic
somewhat atmosphereish, but not too much content nor excitement. got a bit inspired by the "wave lines in a plane" towards the end though.
surprisingly good, the music fits so perfectly well with the graphics on screen. and it's arty.
beautiful art out of simple 3D object ! music reminds me jmj ;)
Cool, w. some nice synchros. The end logo looked nice
little bit boring, but most of the time cool and with good music :)
I like the music and effects and style.
I like the soundtrack and some effects
+music
I'm a sucker for 80's-style and don't see anything wrong with only having an idea or two and running with them. Doing that produces a tight & focused demo although one should be careful about not letting it run for too long, this one is bordering on that but didn't cross the line for me.
This also deviates from the standard traction demo and while the content is somewhat familiar it still brings something new to the spaghetti genre. Finally, I prefer the clean look here to the typical amount of elements surrounding the central effect in recent traction prods.

Not as good as the sequel (one of my personal fave demos in recent times), but a great demo! I love the design and theme and admire how well it is achieved. I'm really hoping for more like this!
quite random for me.
Has very nice rhythm to it
A couple a nice looking stuff, a couple a not polished enough transitions, and all in all, missing something to be really entertaining.
The quality is uneven, and a couple of things lack polishing here and there. But the second part is really nice. The blinking scenes in particular work very well.
Mmm, weird colour ribbons.
I forgot to mention the soundtrack which is absolute bliss! Beautiful melody (sorely lacking in music today) and a sweet 80s vibe.
Very good prod especially the music.
Music is great!
Much better soundtrack than the second part but I still don't like the visuals.
For the pretty logos and the great groovy 80's soundtrack. The effects were quite smooth apart from the awkward growing pipes :)
