jaw dropping.
Overscan on every flloor.

Critical Area was great, but Twist nailed it.
The end part is really cool too.

All the music made it.

Awesome !
Nice to see such things running on CPC.
And yes, very nice musics.

Well, well,. the long awaited demo is here. Much much smaller than what someone could expect but it was to be expected. This might have dissapointed some, oder?

Well,. still I liked it a lot, no Shadow of the beast menu, no 3d vector balls and 1frame wireframe, nor the other rumors about parts not included. But the intro and especially Gates to Delirium kicks ass (1996 part and I still like it)!!! It's the type of demos we miss on CPC. Great synctro/presentation and the music rules. I liked the twist part too, even Sylvestre's gfx screen, it's the first time I see so many mode mixes in one screen (and the digi music kicks!). The text gives you a scary impression of what happens with big projects on CPC. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad..

Well, I am happy that they managed to get rid of their old 9 years parts, no matter if DIA was the 1/3 of what was originally announced. Hopefully, some other parts will be release in another demo..

tried it on WinApe - didn't seem to run 100% correct. any other emus i should try?
added on the 2005-04-04 15:22:01 by cruzer cruzer
I watched it in WinApe, set in "CRTC 4- Pre ASIC"

the "twist" part still doesn't look like on the screenshot, and other parts look buggy too.

I use WinAPE 32 2.0 Alpha 5b with the RAM set to 64k + 256k ram expansion, 256k Silicon Disk. The Plus features are enabled in the display menu, otherwise I see nothing else.

There was a bunch of random pixels in the upper border in "twist" but that's all.
added on the 2005-04-04 18:22:40 by p01 p01
When I first ran it from Winape32, I had to set the CRTC to type 1 to see it properly. Both Critical path and Twist hardware parts work 99% fine this way. Also, you can write: RUN "DIA"'CRTCx where x=0,1,2,3,4 to specify the type.

Wow. Quite an impressive product... what a shame I can only watch this maxi-demo on an emulator !

It really worth the wait. Some part look quite old, but the general content of the demo remains coherent.

Design, design, design. I'm so proud of the CPC scene trying to improve design in the latest production... technical stuff are interesting, but most of the time, previsible. Design code is not...

Well. I'm quite happy watching an awesome CPC prod in 2005. I'm sure there will be plenty of another ones to come.

Keep up the good work guyz !!!!!!

Ver nice. A few parts messed up in my emulator, but that's not the fault of the coders...

Ok ! Finally they did it !!!
Great job really.
The intro was powerfull.
Critical Area : a bit old but nice however.
Twist : I had seen a preview a long time ago. This version is very much better !
Landscape... I need my sunglasses :)
Gates 2 delirium. At first I was a bit disappointed but after little time, great parts came to punish my impatience. Delay Dots kicked ass !
Sympathic End-Part and the loader is terrific.
Finally a very good demo. But to say all, the first preview I saw was in the OVL meeting in 1996 and I cannot really understand why it took all this time...
But it's really really really a great job. Keep on coding friends !
Cpc needs you. Arkos is surely the only REAL group steel active on the Cpc. Follow the exemple !

Safe as f--k!
Doesn't run as expected on my machine (320k 664+internal ParaDOS) - it just freezes four tracks in - but holding down 1-5 when loading the demo works fine. Good work Arkos. :)

Very good one, definitively shows that an Amstrad CPC is way more powerful than a C64 :)

This "long time waited prod" was disappointing, but there is some good pieces of demo inside (especially Twist & Intro).

Impressive megademo, I specially liked Gates to Delirium from Targhan.

Gates to Delirium would become a kick-ass prod if it was released as a single-part! I also like the intro very much!

This demo had built a lot of hype and failed to fully live up it, but it's nevertheless fun and interesting.

Strong code, great music and musical technics. At the release, the design of some parts looked already old.

It would have been an historical megademo if released earlier, when most of the parts were ready. 5-6 years sooner?

Congratulations to Targhan to have the faith to finish the project as an alone coder!
