Sure, maybe I should do a proper write-up at some point. The tunnel uses a 86x50 copper chunky screen. It was orignally bigger, but it didn't leave time for the music routine! It generates 15 shade levels of the texture and uses bayer dithering to blend them in the table data. The horizontal panning is done using self-modifying code. For each line it has generated code with a series of moves to write a line much longer than the target resolution. It jumps somewhere into this line and temporarily changes one of the moves to an `rts` to exit at the right point.

overloaded at first - maybe because of my very bad headache. Can't
confirm this after relistening to it a couple of more times. In fact, it fits

It was the height I had to compromise on for the music routine, not the width. Previously I was using more vertical overscan, which seemed to screw things up. The routine is similar to yours, but the width is reduced a bit so it can be centered and switch back to the bg colour. It uses a repeated column to hide the ragged edge on the right. It also uses shorter loops for 4x3 chunky pixels, but that's more about the speed of the effect than the copper chunky mode itself.
