So awesome! Really appreciate the British spelling of "initialise" too!

Was this built on an evolution of Rose, or something new, or both?
I see from the NFO it's Rose. Cool!
Really interesting concept!
Da shit !!! Creative explosion !
So much fun! The voice sample tops it :)
Awesome intro, can't wait for the demo to start!
Erm...uh, wait?
Well played, H0ff!

Fantastic! Enjoyed it a lot! Thanks! :-)
I don't know... That was cool but at the same time the UI beeps quickly became annoying and distracted me from the story
liked it, entertaining!
That was unexpected, weird, different, but had the atmosphere.
i hoped for the whole time it's just the precalc and the real thing is following up :D
clearly the most diverse and unusual concepti've ever seen in the intro :)

One of the best OSes that support multidimensional coordinates of any kind!
Unique! Lovely design and SFX, feels just right!
Very refreshing with something out of the ordinary! Awesome!
Original and striking!!
Love it :)
Cool concept.
I can’t begin to imagine how complicated that Rose script is, so kudos for that alone.
I think this one will divide the audience. I enjoyed it on the stream, watching the story unfold, but I couldn’t help being left feeling like it was the intro to a demo that I wanted to see, if that makes sense? That said, the creativity was great, particularly given the constraints, and I very much look forward to part two..!!

Very nice! Cool concept and execution. Reminded me a bit of the game "Observation".
Nice concept and well executed.
Yes, yes and yes!
Entertaining!
i was really inside the story. It remind me what user interface can be in a movie. recently i seen severance and it make think of it. Great job !
Great concept, and I totally admire the huge amount of work that went into making this!
I did find it a little boring though (I guess I prefer to see cool coded effects in general), but still deserves a thumb for the work :)

Very different. Very cool!
I cannot decide if totally r00lz or it's just OK.
I mean, it's a really different concept(looks like more a presentation of some program), but in a demo compo i think it's expected more visual effects and astonishing music.
Please don't get me wrong, i admire the effort and the difficult task to do some with Rose. Just we expected more colors and effects and awesome sounds that master H0ffman brings to us.
It's very original concept and making, anyway. Good job.

i admit i waited for the drop and the beats just to be disappointed but the whole concept is ass-kicking and the sounddesign great. so whats not to like?
Definitely awesome!
fave of the whole party
Cool :)
Interesting but a bit long if you seen it at night after 48 days without sleeping ! 😁
You did a very bold move deciding to use a mostly (if not entirely) diegetic soundtrack on a scene production. No music but, still, not boring. Interestingly, the design alone supports the entire feel. Also, the heavy use of Rose impose a limit in the colors so this is just monochromatic (four tones) except for some green that appear in sudden overlayed graphics. That makes this production unique and I salute you for this.
Though I must say the execution don't reach the potential of the idea... Cause this should have been interactive! Now I wanna play with your cyberpunk GUI and check my inbox in Logic OS! :]

yeah sound made to fit visuals that was great. also: casually dropping sample :D "nah this size limit ain't even tight"
what wysiwtf said
All rights gents, right after seeing it i opt you should implement a proper Logicoma BBS and take as much traffic from this site as you can.
this was so... strange
thank you for sticking to your guns and not giving in to pressure to make this more "traditional"
in many ways a spiritual companion to one of my favorite demos "{" by Downown, but at the same time i don't think it's exactly trying to do the same thing, since the level of abstraction is entirely different, with this one being a lot more concrete and to the point, which loses some of the magic for me
nevertheless, i commend you for going outside the comfort zone, and breaking away from people's expectations

This put a big old smile on my face during a dull day at work. The ambient sounds were a really cool touch, and add a nice bit of tension to this prod. Badass!
Cool. This somehow reminds me of "Xanadu" in Kentucky Route Zero.
Fresh and unmistakably h0ffman at the same time. Big up mate!
I love the originality. Now, if only it were multitasking...
Incredibly detailed and thought out. Man, this is why I’m still here. Fantastic work.
Very stylish and nice :)
So different and surprising!
Quite disappointed by this one. Surely by the lack of music
fun concept pulled off so well with a great story! was really exciting to watch despite not having tons of flashy colors, but i was also really impressed by the samples, the design and the animation, so this one's really got it all!
snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake
It totally r00lz <3 <3
Also, what noby and neoman said.
"Ghost in the Shell" style.
cute
Only way this could have worked was as an interactive demo. But I guess noone does that anymore. That said, experimentation is good in itself so piggy.
It's a piggy from me, I afraid. Props for trying something different but it's not interesting enough IMHO.
Creative stuff! Dig the slick sound design, there is an ASMR quality to it. I love how the new voice message tone is sync'd with the tracker beat. And what Ham said about interactivity, that would be fun.
this was something else, very well done!
what killed me was CASUALLY THROWING IN SPEECH SAMPLES
like ... nah! we have plenty of space, we're good :D

So original and well executed. My jaw was on the floor throughout. Easily my party favorite.
What Xeron said
Great concept. Excellent execution. Well done!
Inspiring concept.
:)
Nice and not really the demonormes, liked the greetings and all the details and sound, full OS next year?
Extra points for creativity.
Well executed. I love it
It's seems that hoffman was inspired by his own conversion of METAL GEAR on Amiga :D
yep
reminds me of making OSs in powerpoint as a kid 😎
So I've now watched it again and I have many thoughts:
First off, the idea is fun (in line with the trend of screenlife films and games like Uplink or Superhot where a story is told through a person's interaction through a user interface), there's some absolutely delicious (if a bit "common") UI sound design and some fun UX going on. All of this on an Amiga and that's already an impressive feat.
My big problem is with the rest - the first is the glacial pacing: initially it's a good idea to slow down the interface traversal to let the user absorb the setting, but the more the plot moves forward, the less time you should spend on loading spinners and UI animations waiting to finish, and since the plot is building up to something, you should gradually ramp up your intensity in action as well - instead there's a lot of "waiting for screen to fill" thumb twiddling that in the end accounts for most of the running length.
The other thing is that the plot kindof ends out of nowhere (the only real foreshadowing is that little popup during the "LOADING CRACKER" part, but it's hard to distinguish it from the rest of the OS) and ends a bit abruptly (sequel hook?) without a real climatic sense of what exactly happened; the UI audio hum actually starts pitchbending up (a nice touch) to show that you're in the coda of the prod, but then that happens ~20 seconds before the prod ends which feels a bit too abrupt.
I guess what I'm saying is that the actual elements of an absolute genius prod where there, and all it missed was a little tightness in direction - but then, whether that was technically feasible (with Rose, with Amiga, etc) is a different question. Still a great prod, of course, just couldn't get past the nitpicks yet :)

High level creativity with lots of polish.
This was different and cool! And I thought about the same as rez did lol :D
kudos for taking risk doing something really different! And it paid off, congrats!
Kind of agree with Gargaj, speeding up the second access to the same module would also make sense from a technical point of view: It just got "cached" after the first access :)
yes
satisfies my fetish for computer interfaces in ~pre-1985 sci-fi movies :P
OK.
I really don't really know how to define this. But of course it's original !
Definitely a contender for best concept of 2022. I'm impressed by the variety of sound effects and the voice sample in 64k.
Rules!
Fun idea!
loved the idea and stellar execution, especially the sfx
I was expecting something along the lines of "Way to rude" or "Everyway", from one of my fav demoscene musicians so I was puzzled. I guess this concept would have fit better in the wild category, although cramming everything into 64KB took many hours of sleep for sure. It can surprise on first watch but doesn't have as much "lastability" as your other prods. It reminds me about early amiga games/anims that told a story, so I wouldn't say it's a really original/new idea, more like nostalgic for me. The design and tiny anims are nice but it doesn't portrait your great music/design/synchro/asm skills. Anyway don't get me wrong, I wanted it to last more :-)
Lovely. Made me want to play "Another World" again.
Thumb up for achieving storytelling and installing an ambience in an OCS 64kb intro. The pace is too slow/repetitive though for my taste.
While it's a bit slow for me I like that we don't need to stare at the same plasma, scrollers, etc that has been repeated many times over. So big kudos for doing something different.
Also I know how annoying it must have been to sync this whole thing :)

nice idea and amazing look but it dragged on a bit too much, but it's something really really different. great job and well deserved!
Dunno, don't like it.
What Gargaj said, but still a solid thumb up.
Great concept, feels fresh and original.
And obviously it's very well executed. My favourite of the party.

someone could make a game of it :)
Addendum: "original" doesn't nearly describe how I feel about this prod, so let me rephrase.
For some time now there have been discussions about the evolution of the demo art form. Whether it is about the demoscene style being stale (Gargaj recently made a demo about it), legitimate questions about the future of demo in the new and evolving platform landscape, the value of real-time as opposed to YouTube, the use of commercial engines, etc. etc.
I think this intro is different enough from what we've seen so far that it meaningfully contributes to this discussion and shows what a demo could be. This alone deserves a thumb.

Nice idea executed well!
Refreshingly different!
Totally love it. Finally something new, different. Great Idea, Storyboard and direction. I really was mesmerized during the compo-stream!
A big winner for me :-)
A big winner for me :-)
Neat concept, but didn't really go anywhere and the pacing was slow.
I hoped that the music was going to keep going once the TRACKER app was exited. I think that would have helped with the pacing and direction - using the soundtrack to push things along.

Nice concept!
Cool!
What Saga Musix said, aka "What Gargaj said" plus: It has its weaknesses but for the concept, sound design, and cramming it all into 64k alone, here's well deserved thumb :)
Fantastic concept and execution!
Nice idea and very well done.
wicked stuff, reminded me of some early 90s amiga game intros, so now go and make a game about it :)
well done!
Not really my personal cup of tea, but nonetheless some fine stuff and a big thumbs up for thinking outside the box!
Liked this one a lot :-)
excellent art work and would be happy to have an amiga os as this one ! great !
.we need more "story" intros like this for miggy.
love the concept.
maybe a tad too long, but it is just so well executed

Enjoyed this alot, different and engaging storyboard, hooked & engaged me very easily. Another World intro vibes with the sfx and ui, loved it <3
Well, enjoyed it, also got Another World/Flashback vibes of it.
different and nice! i think some fx could have spiced up the os interface if it would not have been a 64k. well done!
Very interesting concept, flawless execution.
Just expected something more at the end, but that would probably spoil things said above.

cool UI design
I don't like the pacing. If it led up to "starting the demo", I think that part could have been quite simple, say a one-screener with simple music. Then it would have rewarded the wait for the build-up!
I enjoyed watching this one very much. It was also quite satisfactory to see that this intro got first place despite its rather simple visuals. This gives me hope that maybe one day I will also come up with a production that will be appreciated by the demoscene.
Super nice!
good, good!
I've always loved Logo and turtle graphics.
Well-crafted and mildly entertaing, but there's simply not enough going on here. I was hoping for the real production to begin until the end. A nice experiment, but it also looks like a dead-end conceptually.
Nice one!
Love it!
this is fucking amazing!!!
Very cool. Great concept, incredible attention to detail, and very smartly delivered.
definitely a cool concept, i really like it. i appreciate the faint machine hum in the soundtrack, it adds to the immersion
Never seen an Amiga demo like this before. Very interesting concept.
love it, the only problem is that it's too long
I was slightly entertained watching it for the second time as well. Nice interface and sounds, extra fun feel to watch it on the real machine. Novel idea, and all that; but it could have done with some more actual effects and less anticlimax.
different but great idea
