audacious design, deep respects for that

First demo in mspaint. Platform thumb up. (:
Great idea, excellent design!
Quality production !
Quality production !
this is how Piet Mondriaan would roll if he was in demoscene.
deserved 2nd place. very cool demo. Piet Mondrian inspired
so artsy and evoke-ish. love it.
Nicely executed concept, good music also, fit perfectly.
what they said
This looked fantastic. Great idea for theme/style!
My favorite from the party. I was really happy to see how much work you put into this since Break^H^H^H^H^H ReVision.
I like this really really much. Different style and lots of scenes that all fit together.
Artsy in a very interesting manner.
Nice design, nice camera movments, great fitting music.
My favorite from the compo. Love the visuals and music. I know what the colors are going towards (Mondrien, de stijl etc...), but a bit if desaturation or a tint would've made them better. Still, ace.
I really love this, very artistic, well executed. I tip my hat to your courage for going through with the color scheme.
what ryx said!
fresh!
Excelent demo. The bass line makes me think of pet shop boys.
Beautiful design
traction style. nice tune. i like it.
I like the idea, design and of course the good music.

lego colors, stylish visuals and fucking great music. really love this (=
An animated Piet Mondrian painting in 3D. I can dig it.
Direction is a bit lackluster though. There's no tension, just the lazy change-cam-by-beat synching.

The lack of development/tension in both music and visuals is not really my cup of tea.
That said, I really love this. Extremely well put together, and you can tell that lots of love went into this. Should have won :)

Whoops, thumb.
Lotsa kewl ideas and coherent, perhaps the direction slips a bit towards the end.
Stylish to say the least. And the pantone background is just pure win
Rulez!
YES!!!!!!
I love the music so much I could play it on repeat for few hours straight :)
Visuals were your usual quality and I really liked the unique design. Big thumb!

Bold visuals! Nice music, too.
ah, nothing quite like the feeling of looking at the screenshot and thinking "man, I hate this style of art", but absolutely loving the actual demo :D
flat shading + mondrian colorscheme = <3
Pure <3.
yep.
pure style.
the direction choice fits very well with the great soundtrack.
love it!

The pace in the animation and the way the sync has been done, seems wrong combined with the music. I adore the music, it has loads of possibilities for a demo, but in my opinion, this doesn't work.
Lovely, but ugly as hell.
Reminded me of those awful commercials from the late 80's or early 90's with the Stu-stu-stu-studio line...
Funky music, nice direction and flow, but colors ruined everything - and for that reason alone I'm not watching it again :(
But colors are not enough to piggie this. So thumbie it is :)

Classic art colors used in new ways - I like it. A little long, but managable.
hellacool
wow great design, something different..
probably my favourite traction demo so far. loving the constructivist/avantgarde reminiscences.
Excellent soundtrack and great syncing work. I wanted this one to go on forever...
If I could make demos, I'd make em like this!
love it !
A few lengths here and there, and a lack of progression in general, but a very successful, enjoyable, design.
Absolutely massive - the only thing that kinda took away from the experience is that the sync seemed slightly off.
Either way, this is moralhardcandy-level shit right here.

Fresh! I don't agree that it is moralhardcandy-level shit but it is pretty nice nonetheless :)
thumbs up for a really refreshing aestethic approach and the elegant soundtrack.
the only minor critics is, that visuals and music do not play together in way that it feels like a unity.

Made me happy.
Great music, great visuals. But the music really needs a lead melody.
thumbs for having proper colors! you seem to have forgotten about the green, though :(
Any demo referencing Mondriaan's work gets my thumb. Especially when done this well :). My personal compo favourite.
Also liked the imagery, particularly as I saw some of the work of Mondrians friend, contemporary and reciprocal influence Marlow Moss at the Tate St. Ives only a month ago.
design-wise so damn clean and tidy you could easily skip an overdue shower by simply watching this.
choice of music couldn't be more suitable.
i didn't imagine i could ever enjoy a demo this much again.
- THANK YOU -

I like this style. Got a bit repetitive after a while, but thumbup overall.
reversing accidental piggy..!
Just great, perfect match between the visuals and the laidback soundtrack.
nice
this color scheme is good
Pushed *ALL* my buttons. Beautiful! Preacher, please never change (or well, change a lot, i guess :D)
harmony
house music.
Whoa, traction 2010++ !!
For me, this is a very well but executed but strongly different than usual effect demo. At the same time it is a perfect trip to the world of constrained colors (very much nothing wrong with the colors of this demo for me) and very fancy'n'cool animations. Big thanks for bringing us such a quality magic effects show combined with good music and sync!

I liked what can be best described as "primary color lego brick snake" near the end but a lot of people seem to be really confused about Mondriaan and De Stijl in general. This would be a terrible homage to that and I doubt that's what it is.
excellent!
After watching it a few more times, I have to say...
It needs more of those!
Oh, and finally a modern demo running at full resolution (1920x1200) and 8x multisampling on my laptop. :) Well okay, it's not technically demanding, but people still manage to make stuff like this to be slow, so kudos for that. :)

I'm actually more confused about all the Lego associations, while the link to Mondria[a]n's grid compositions (+ hints of recursion / "sparse texel tree" look) is not exactly subtle and makes more sense to me.
First of all, i love the Deephouse track - no matter what.
It could have been perfect and spot on if it had a more predictable pace or direction. The change between fast syncs and slower scenes isn't really reflected, especially since the track has a easy mood to it.
Anyway. Thumb up-worthy production!

This is one of those demos that I nearly absolutely love but something just doesn't sit right for me.
Love the music. Love the style. Love the scenes. Some great sync and scene development in there. But.. sorry.. that camera work really tired me out. I liked the sync in the spheres + triangles scene (first pic in the screenshot above) more. By the time the greets came I was ready for the break.

Pure traction! ^_^
Yeah! Nice nice!
nice track
brilliant! i love it!
Like it very much :)
Dutch colorscheme!
...anyway, it was cute, I quite liked the music too, but there was just a bit too much repetition going on. A shorter demo would've been stronger, I guess.

It's different and it's cool. I'va had to look at something green for a while after watching this.
@rpfr - you're right, credits part is a real downturn. Either you stay until the end or press esc then.

These would be awesome as screensavers!
Still, really hypnotizing and chill demo - Giving it a thumbs up!

YESS!.. looks soo nice.. clean. and the music fits perfect
Awesome stuff!
great, just great. fantastic music. preacher always delivers, kudos for that!
Interesting concept, but soooo boring. Not my cup of tea...
Wow, awesome. It worked well on my ancient, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine with its ATI Radeon 4870 video card (driver v9.4!). :D
Also, Neo effects were weird. I had to disable them even though I love neon. ;)
one of those demos that made me nod in agreement with every single scene
refreshing prod, remind me Blasphemy & Purple days. Excellent
Simply excellent
Yes!
Nice, cool Mondriaan influence. He seems to be popping up everywhere these days.
Not related, and sorry to hijack this, but I just wanted to say I'd really absolutely love to have a new 8 scenes of human life with a any-resolution selector...
Nice cubism :)
Very cool.
nice.
sorry, i don't liked this color.
but, nice design and soundtracks.
but, nice design and soundtracks.
Small file size, fast rendering! That's what modern demos missed.
The style, direction, music - everything done very well and neatly.
A few totally different scenes (stylized the same, though) was the most exciting thing for me.

Arsty for Fartsies.
First things first, I find it brave that you went with this colour scheme - and as you stated it'd be a hit or miss. And the beautiful thing is that you some how manage to not let them look like coder colours at all, it just feels clean - and I can't imagine other colours to fit better. Though in the ball scene I saw some nice one in the back :)
This tune just sticks in my eardrums since Evoke, it's so calm yet so pushing forward - I feel like I could loop it all day and it'd not get boring. Of course it matches well with the visuals and the sync, which I find rather tastefully holding back - like in the "not totally filled cube" with the small rectangles on it's sides.
I love a lot of parts, the first one with the spinning rings, the circle/icosahedron(?), the stacking building (actually the part where it has no colours yet) and the line parts at the end. Also love how I watch your demos and always learn something, like the camera movement this time that planes should have depth (yours have) and much more.
Keep it up, I'd give it a CDC if only they'd not be so rare :\

best demo in the compo, shouldve won.
I really like the style. It was a lot more entertaining than I thought.
artimation. mondrian reloaded ftw!
I would like it better without the sphere, and I don't love the music, but that doesn't make this demo not amazing.
Design!!!!
Great design for a good demo that would have been great if it had been as entertaining as it was already beautiful.
Also, 10 MB? Really? This should have fit in 1 MB and even less, given the precedents set by Farbrausch and Co.

Yeah, with a fabulous 32kbps mp3.
Very nice. Stylish, smooth and brilliant.
well designed
Really lovely
I like the concept and the effects, but the camera beat-sync in the middle was too nervous for me. The music's nice, but could have been used for more creative syncing (more than camera paths). Also better transitions between the effects would have been nice, because atm it feels like a bunch of disconnected effects with the same color scheme...
style, smooth, nice
Smooth as hell
Unusual concept, with the very nice music a very entertaining product :)
Tune is so sexy it prolly needs a gun license, still enjoying it deeply even after hearing it so often - of course the same applies to the visuals :D
Feels, sounds and looks clean and cozy... Nice blends of geometries
Killer style, excellent concept. I wasn't a massive fan of the music or the bit with the sphere but the rest was more than enough to make up the difference. My favorite demo with a white background in recent memory ;)
Loved it, because of the style, because of how clean and relaxed this is, and because it felt a little bit like it was talking to me personally. I am not fully convinced that the chosen colour scheme was the best possible choice (I would have gone for complementaries), but I dig these colours too.
Jep
very cool! love the tune
<3
Nice to see some primary colors in a pc demo for once.
nice one - i don't dig the colours too much but well.. neon-option was better, albeit a bit too bright at times
no clue how i had never seen this one before. pretty good! faithful to the traction style while still keeping it fresh.
Not bad
nice colors.
Nice!!
I totally adore this demo. Wonder, how could i miss it.
Gorgeous, brilliant and touching.
