The biggest Amiga surprise this year and excellent comeback. Mighty code and great effects. Good design / graphics. Very well done!

Looks like Bifat is finally fully back on track! :) Great trackmo with some really nice parts, the usual quality code by Bifat and good graphics too. Well done, thanks for a great OCS show! :)

I immediately thought, that I want to watch it again immediately :).. Pure OCS awesomeness.

and like the meatballs thing. smooth rendering

My absolute favourite from the party. How this ended up 3rd is way beyond me... Highlights: transparent metaballs, blurred line "twister", copper chunky tunnel and blurred vectors in credits part. Totally my kind of effects! Also enjoyed the majestic power poles :)

A very good demo, with some non typical effect scenes. Pleasure to watch!

excellent

Notes: The video capture has issues on my Linux desktop. Effects which run in 50fps appear flickering, and there are palettes with color interlace which look broken here. Also, there are a few AmigaDOS tracks on the disk containing the intro Vallejo Amplifier, which hasn't been added yet

Nice effects, although the music sounds very familiar.

The music is also on some scene archive

Just great, as one would expect from TEK. Btw, what's this "comeback" people are talking about? Deadline 2016 wasn't that long ago :P
rulez added on the 2017-02-14 21:10:07 by break break
Its a slick demo, no doubt about that. But if it wasn't for the music, it could have been great.

Awesome demo which would have deserved far better music.

Bifat is still one of the best coders on Amiga...and i love that he´s back to stay! :)

Pretty cool demo with true oldskool feel. I was left a bit confused because of the recycled music. There are still some people in the scene who can make you a tracker song for your needs, you know...

My favourite Amiga entry at Datastorm. Bifat shows us what and OCS Amiga can do if treated properly.

Very nice effects. Music was a bit offputtingly chaotic.

Liked this very much. And the health benefits of dandelion include relief from liver disorders, diabetes, urinary disorders, acne, jaundice, cancer and anemia. It also helps in maintaining bone health, skin care and is a benefit to weight loss programs

Good code indeed, but the music doesn't really have the same qualitylevel.

Not bad, although some effects are too low on fps and music is meh
added on the 2017-02-27 00:48:05 by rutra80 rutra80
No effects are too low on fps. But the resolution (chunky, half scanlines, dithering) and shadowbuffering in many parts make me go cross-eyed. :) It looked really good on the bigscreen though!

I think the music was quite OK but yes, maybe a little bit meh - or maybe it's just not quite a match for the varied effects.

Not sure about the converted gfx. Pixeled still looks better to me!

Solid thumb for your coding skills, and I can tell you I'm excited for what your demosystem will bring next! :)

Niiiiiice!

My favorite in the compo. The music fits very well (even though if it is taken from some music archive) and sets that industrial mode which I like.

Here is a small update, see download link:

- Fixed for 68010, bootpic modulo glitch
- Added makedandelionexe

Makedandelionexe resides on the disk's AmigaDOS tracks. It allows to convert the disk into an executable that can be started from (and returns to) shell or workbench on pressing the left mousebutton. Also, the resulting executable allows to write itself back to a disk as a trackmo. See makedandelionexe.txt. Now if you have an Amiga with lots of memory you can listen to the great soundtrack day in and out without wearing off your disks!

I got the music in 1991/92, this is the demo I wanted to make for it, but couldn't back then for its size and timing. Btw., I think the tempo in that pc demo is wrong. This demo is based on, named after and made for the music. If you believe you can come up with a module as good as this one, do not hesitate to send it to me - it may end up in a TEK demo.

bifat:

https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=85479

Sample text says finished on 19.03.93.. so if you really got it before, maybe it was a different version? Maybe he sped it up a little for PC?

This MOD on modarchive sounds like the PC demo (Elements) version to me, same tempo.

Also, I didn't realize 68010 was a thing.. is it as rare as the 80186?

Visuals are fine, but the tune didn't work for me. Piggie

Not rare at all but pretty useless.
added on the 2017-04-23 20:59:37 by StingRay StingRay
Hi amigajay, if you can't convert it yourself, you don't need it. A trackmo is easier to run and requires less memory. The executable is for those who use Amigas with harddisk and a lot of memory. If you have a broken disk drive, just copy the image to a virtual disk like FMS and run the converter from there.
added on the 2017-04-24 18:16:11 by bifat bifat
Hi bifat, I use a CD32 and I'm compiling a demo cd to run on it, hence the need for files/exe.
If it runs under 2mb I would still like an upload if possible, I'm a bit rusty on doing it myself, cheers!
rulez added on the 2017-04-24 18:23:12 by amigajay amigajay
As an executable it needs slightly more than 2mb to run, most of it fastmem. That's because it has a return to workbench, so memory must be backuped.

Bugger ok, no worries, thanks.
added on the 2017-04-24 18:44:31 by amigajay amigajay
The trackmo -> exe tool alone deserves a thumb up, but this is a very enjoyable production. I especially like the music.
rulez added on the 2017-05-07 21:16:41 by grip grip
Good, the trackmo-concept is picked up again. Why not. Good ideas and an interesting use of the copper for the chunky screens. Well done guys.

I missed to comment this one. Guess who is back, huh?.... De la TEK is not Dead + Bifat on the keys!
Very stylish trackmo. Would be a TOTAL jaw-dropper back in the daze.
Entertaining and moody!

Hope to see more good'n stylish stuff from you again and AGAIN, dudes! =)

One of the best demos I've ever seen. Such class, here. I had to disable the A2060 (68020 board) in my Amiga 2000 to get it running properly!

Missed vote. Great stuff from bifat, not too much gfx but final pic is moody. Don't like the music that much, but it kinda fits.
